What he said was he wanted to be near family, one is in USA none in France and he has worked for tv here, so maybe he just didn't want to work for the club. Or the owners thought they had found better for the job. Whoever has been advising them needs binned that's for sure.

Well done Mr cavanagh 👏 I was seriously starting to doubt these guys, but that news has restored a lot of faith. They were seeing what we were seeing all along, just working in the background to rectify it. My honest thinking was if they let these guys have another window and it's much the same, they would have looked like really bad. We need these positions filled with the right people this time, it's pivotal.

Feel the exact same way BoyBlue.
They will have seen the improvements under Rohl but also the squad is glaringly short in key areas.
January shouldn't be about ripping the squad apart - it should be about complimenting the sumner recruitment.
We unfortunately are the other way round.

Bb4, it seems that a number of replacements have already been looked at which suggests the sackings were already in the pipeline and Cavanagh pulled the trigger this morning.

Very happy to be rid of these charlatans. What annoys me is that these guys won't care a jot that they've been sacked. They'll be well compensated for the remainder of their contract. If it had been any of us demonstrating incompetence in our work place we would've been given our papers and shown the door without any form of compensation, instead these characters are given a pat on the back by the board for their efforts ( or lack of), a lump sum in their bank accounts and well wishes in their next endeavours.


Hopefully the board get their replacements correct this time. If we can manage to find 2 or 3 gems with the help of the new recruitment team in the next window there's no reason to think why we can't push on and mount a serious title challenge.

Stig I think Danny Rohl has been assessing them both and reporting back to cavanagh. That's my initial inkling here mate, Rohl is assessing if they're up to the job that we require. I wonder if they're rubbishing all his player suggestions too.

100% Stig pal, they've owned their mistakes. The only issue now is, they HAVE to get it right this time, there's no 3rd chance.

They seem to have nailed the Manager position (my opinion on what we've seen so far), hopefully they get this one right 2nd time round as well.

Thelwell and PS gone not before they half wrecked our season - will be interesting to see who replaces them - not a great start for our new owners sacking these 2 and our manager before Christmas - but onwards and upwards.
