Ibrox noise reporting an emergency meeting has been called for today, not sure but think some on here said that they talk a load of the brown stuff on that page.
28 Aug 2026 13:22:21
Sorry mate, I stopped reading when you said Ibrox Noise.
28 Aug 2026 14:17:01
If Ibrox Noise have said that, Me2, you can assume that's not happening, as they get nothing correct. 🤔
28 Aug 2026 14:20:00
The question needs to be asked, what would this emergency meeting actually be discussing? If we bin another manager this quickly, there is no adequate manager in world football going to touch the job. We have no option but to give this manager time to sort out the mess we are currently in.
28 Aug 2026 14:25:04
Nothing at moment.
Sunday is must win or the talk is he's done.
What a mess.
28 Aug 2026 14:27:41
Regardless, the manager needs to go. Celtic identified their management issue with Wilfred Clancy and quickly moved and replaced him.
28 Aug 2026 14:28:14
Same as meeting two weeks ago not happening.
Kevin Kelsey deal complete 9 million plus add ons and sell on.
We have received further enquiry for Neil.
28 Aug 2026 14:40:58
Thanks John, we must sell Dan Neil, it's basically free money for someone who just isn't good enough!
28 Aug 2026 14:43:04
Bel, it worked for Celtic cause they had a settled team when O'Neill came in, didn't work for us when we sacked Gio, didn't work for us when we sacked Beale, didn't work for us when we sacked Clement, didn't work for us when we sacked Martin.
Eventually we are going to have to stick with someone.
28 Aug 2026 14:48:05
Pish, Neil isn't good enough, happens far too regularly, players not good enough without hardly kicking a ball, we've not seen how good he can be.
28 Aug 2026 14:50:04
If Neil doesn't want to be at Rangers, get him gone. Useless player anyhow.
28 Aug 2026 14:57:13
John, do you think if the club's value is met for Dan Neil he will go? Just like every other one that doesn't fit into McInnes' plans.
28 Aug 2026 14:58:24
The volume of posters saying Neil isn't good enough. Type of fan that is driving the issue. How can we possibly know after so little time who's good enough? We'd drive Mbappe out the door with the views we've got. Regardless, John has already stated the player hasn't settled. That's the reason he's muted for a move.
28 Aug 2026 15:00:43
Sacking managers continually will never solve our issues. If Neill doesn't want to be at the club, move him on, but this rinse & repeat of sacking managers has to end. We have spent big money on players and the manager needs to be given time to build the team.
I for one am confident that Derek will come good, and just as an aside to Sunshine Supporter, feel free to screenshot this post and throw it back at me if it gets worse.
28 Aug 2026 15:05:24
Cheers John.
28 Aug 2026 15:05:38
He's absolutely rank rotten.
28 Aug 2026 15:07:20
Sollo, that's been our problem for years now, does my head right in.
28 Aug 2026 15:18:09
These English stats find it difficult to play for Rangers. They may think they will stroll it. Rothwell same. Barton same. Not bad players but not good enough.
28 Aug 2026 15:28:17
I would be surprised if there aren't a number of meetings following on from what was a disastrous result and performance.
However, labelling them 'emergency' meetings is just typical click bait reporting.
28 Aug 2026 15:30:23
My Star, you're one of the 2 that criticised me for saying he was dog meat. It seems that only you and the other poster are the ones standing by Neil. He's being called out everywhere, left, right and centre, mate. I enjoy your posts and obviously wanting to back players, but he's been found out far too quick, by almost everyone.
Not a cheeky post, like I said I admire you and your backing of players and the club. But Neil's another Rothwell and the fact he wants away already says enough about his character and ambition. Not fit for a Rangers jersey if it's that heavy!
28 Aug 2026 15:31:50
Let Neil go, he isn't going to be able to justify his wages at us. Yes, it's an early call, but I would make it if the option is there and we can get a more suitable player in.
28 Aug 2026 15:33:07
Likely be meet Msg regarding the budget adjustments.
28 Aug 2026 15:42:30
Should have signed the boy Watt instead.
If we get £3-4m for Neil, laugh all the way to the bank and reinvest it in someone who's a bit more mobile.
28 Aug 2026 15:47:25
Only one person knows if he's showing signs of being good enough and that's the manager who sees him every day in training!
28 Aug 2026 15:55:25
Maybe there should be a meeting about how we can progress as a club. Hearts will overtake us a big club in the next decade if we keep thinking the problem is only the manager.
28 Aug 2026 16:00:35
If we've not seen how good the player can be, is that not still the player's fault?
28 Aug 2026 16:01:27
Also, just go read what Ipswich and Sunderland fans have said about Dan Neil and you will see its pretty similar to what some are saying about him already at Rangers.
28 Aug 2026 16:01:58
Also, if he wants out already tells you he's not up for the fight.
28 Aug 2026 16:02:41
We need a period of stability and consistency, Rangers. There has been so much upheaval, change, lurching from one crisis to another. 6 permanent managerial appointments and as many interim managers in the last 5 years. We need to have a period of stability and calm.
I wasn't for McInnes's appointment, I'm still of the opinion he's limited in how far he can take the club, but he's here and I'll support him while he's in the post.
I genuinely believe the problems we face go far deeper than just the manager. We need to give new CEO Jim Gillespie time to evaluate and make the changes he feels are needed to bring success back to our club.
28 Aug 2026 16:09:14
Ipswich fans said he was awful. Poor loan spell with them.
28 Aug 2026 16:21:46
I have a chuckle when people say he's great in training or the manager sees him every day in training. Nobody cares about what someone looks like in training if they can't do it in a game.
Obv, basic professionalism etc matters, but many a player is epic on the training pitch and can't cut it on a matchday. And, vice versa, a bad trainer but epic player.
28 Aug 2026 16:30:29
Is the Emergency Meeting not more likely to be about a response to the Stadium closure, after all, the board said that they would not stand by and let our clubs and fans take all the blame.
As for Dan Neil, if he wants out, then we should get rid of him and that goes for anybody else who is not totally committed, but if not, I would give him a bit more time.
I actually think he started the game well last night, but then seemed to think he had to drop between the centre backs. He is not helped by Chukwuanis role as a second striker emptying the midfield.
28 Aug 2026 16:32:10
Weneedahero, just because a player wants out isn't always an indicator that he's thrown the towel in. Not a fair assumption, I don't think.
28 Aug 2026 16:43:28
Young Blue, yes it is if he only signed ten minutes ago. I don't believe he's wanting to leave tho.
28 Aug 2026 16:46:59
I just know the player I've seen hundreds of times for Sunderland can play.
28 Aug 2026 16:51:06
Anyone watching game would not know who the manager was. McInnes, Martin Clements' the same rubbish for the last three managers, so is it the manager's fault if players all run about ball watching. Are 5- 10 yards off off the opposition, then do a wee dance in front of the man with the ball instead of tackling him.
28 Aug 2026 16:52:02
Plenty of players were terrible trainers, but come game day were unplayable.
28 Aug 2026 16:53:29
There is no way he's being sold already. That kind of thing rarely happens. He's come in, accepted the captaincy responsibility and all that brings, so now has to get on with it.
And yes, fans have been quick to judge based on what they've seen so far, but how many have actually turned out to be better than we thought in recent years, or left and we wished they hadn't because they went on to better?
28 Aug 2026 16:54:13
My Star, I trust your judgment, mate. Maybe just a case of another player from down south coming up here and not hacking it. I will say, I find it bizarre that there's talk of him leaving so quickly, no matter my opinion of him, that is very very strange.
CJ Novo touched on players we are signing that have been on the club's radar for a while, some even a year. Is Dan Neil a case of a player Martin wanted? McInnes didn't, and that's why he's getting sold? Who knows. There's a good way, a bad way, and the Rangers way. 🤦🏻♂️
28 Aug 2026 16:46:09
Loven, he's hardly kicked a ball, and is a very good footballer, patience is required, but that never happens with Rangers fans, a massive part of our problem.
How do we know Niel wants out anyway? opinion has seemingly turned into facts.
28 Aug 2026 17:22:11
The Neil one baffles me. I clearly have no info, and have no idea what's going on behind closed doors.
However, there was a lot of drama around the way he was signed, when it all looked dead and buried. He hasn't been here long at all, and I can't understand why a player would come if they didn't want to be here. Which leaves me thinking something must've drastically changed.
It's not a good look though.
28 Aug 2026 17:35:58
Sco, we value him at seven million. Offers around four million.
28 Aug 2026 17:41:04
Maybe certain players are not suited to the hustle of Scottish football. In England, they get time on the ball to play. Also, a lot of teams play a low block against us, so a different style again.
If he does stay, maybe once he's up to speed and settled on our style he will become the player that Sunderland fans rave about.
28 Aug 2026 17:44:20
Another 'must win'!!
How many is that this season already???
