For 2 million in today's market, he is about as good and as safe a signing as you can make.
The loan fee and wages wasted on Aarons are testament to this.

Cause I've watched him a few times, and he's more than good enough to be a squad player for us.
Max Aarons would probably cost 10m in today's market. 2m for McCrorrie is a steal.

Are we suggesting players don't improve over time? How often have the folk making these comments watched Ross McCrorie recently, honestly? I haven't watched any of Bristol, so I don't know how much or how little he's improved, but his data looks pretty good, and I remember a performance from him in an Old Firm where he was arguably our best player on the day.

Max Aarons loan fee and wages for a few games last season must have broken 3m. Another 6m, we could sign Max and then meet his 40k pw or 2m a year wage demands. This just looks like a smarter investment.

As an avid gambler of the Championship, I have watched Bristol a good few times and McRorie has stood out most times. I've wanted us to sign him for a while, and I'm really happy we are finally starting to put a bit of faith in Scottish talent again.

For me, he wasn't at the level we needed when he left us, but to be honest, I would have happily welcomed him for more than the 2m when he left Aberdeen. Think he is a solid player that's homegrown, Rangers trained, and knows our club and fans' expectations.
I personally think he is a solid RB that can play a few other positions which we badly need.

I think he's a great signing. He can play a couple different positions. A lot of Bristol City fans have good things to say about him, and, for me, he should've been included in the Scotland squad.

McCrorie will do us a good turn at RB, CB or even CDM at a push. As others have said, he has looked very comfortable in the EPL at Championship level.
Looking forward to seeing him in a blue jersey again.
Let's hope most of our targets don't follow this site, as many would be put off by the negativity aimed at certain players - before they have kicked a ball.

I think if Ross signs, many will be surprised by how much he's improved. An absolutely fantastic young man, would run till his heart stopped beating for our Club. He was a better player at Aberdeen than Rangers and he's a better player at Bristol than he was at Aberdeen.
Give the boy a chance. Get behind him, the new Manager and The Club. We need to unify. This league is wide open.

I think it'll be McCrorie and Devlin signed first. I thought the conference today was interesting. When asked if he'd sign anyone from Hearts, he said that we weren't in talks with anyone who's contracted to Hearts. Maybe, just the way I read it, but I immediately thought it was a nod to Devlin.

I don't dislike McCrorie, I just think there are better options. John, how about Lissah, who was on loan at Falkirk. I haven't seen McCrorie play for a while, but that's because I don't watch mediocre English Championship sides, and if he is so good, why not a queue for his signature.
I am not being negative, but suggested signings are so far unimpressive. Rather buy quality rather than players who happen to be Scottish or have some past connection with Rangers. I wait for the negative responses.

It's a squad we're building, William1. 1m-ish for a guy with solid experience both in the league, the club and elsewhere is good business. He can play a few positions, which is also a bonus.
Nobody saying he'll be our first choice right back, but a very able player.
