Hopefully this is true, but we should really be working on finding our long term 6. I believe Aph has said numerous times that isn't what Dahls game is.
For me, this is one of our weakest positions, and we have players who are not suited to this role trying too hard to fill this position.

BbJ, my opinion is he fits the Declan Rice mould a bit better.
Plays as a 6 for Norway U21s.
I think he fits the 6/8 hybrid role better, but I am also not a coach.

Yeah, I've seen you mention that a few times, Aph, and I would really, really like this lad signed in the summer, but I would also hope we are looking for a 6 who will just play that role and be dedicated to that role for us. We really miss someone of that ilk who dictates our tempo.

FB, Tochi looks, again, more a player that likes to get forward, and much more of an 8 to me. I just want us to sign a 6, and only a 6 type of player.
Time will tell though, and maybe we already have a plan. Just have to wait and see.

I agree with FB, Tochi looks like a 6, strong, powerful, wins the ball back. If Dahl is coming, i'd slot him in just in front, linking the forwards.

Ayrshire Tattooist, you are very much mistaken. I am guaranteeing you Dahl is not signing, just like Silas Anderson isn't either and never was. Now, I'd love to get 1 of those 2 personally, but it ain't happening. I am calling out anyone who says any of those 2 are signing. Unfortunately, they are not. I will be happy to take any flak if I'm wrong, but i know from a very good insider that, while we had interest, the 2 boys are destined for bigger leagues than ours, and both players do not want to play in our league as their next step in their career.
That is 100% fact and, over time, i will be proved correct by the absence of both signing.

Look, I really respect Aphs post on players and really look forward to them, but he is acting like the main authority on Rangers while living, I assume, in Norway, and he's not exactly got much right.
And Angus, I think its you who has missed my point. If your referring to another line of posts of Aphs, then fine, I've not seen it.
So, on this line of posts, what exactly, to you, Angus, have I proved his point on?
Can anyone look to posts recently where Aph is not making himself out to be the new authority on Rangers? This was my point, Angus.
I was honestly fine with it until he said to other posters, are they ok, as if they had something wrong with them for disagreeing with his posts.

Okay, bleed blue. I didn't answer you ever in this line of posts, and I think that would be mainly because, before your post at 11:29:40, you hadn't actually posted before ?. So, impossible to respond to a post and miss a point you never made, and slightly confused tbh.
Some posters are obviously in a position where they get more rumours, so post more.
Does that make anyone the authority on Rangers? I don't take them to be that, but would hate to discourage them from posting, even if they did think that. But surely the point of the forum is to get information and discuss that information. Some posters seem to spend more time dissing the poster, hence the point being made by a few. ?.

Listen, guys, I'm not proclaiming to be part of the recruitment team, but I do have a very good inside contact who has given good and truthful information in the past. Now, yeah, if I'm proved wrong, then I'll take any flak that comes my way, but I am telling you all, Dahl will not sign for us at this present time. In the future, in a few years, who knows, but for now, or in the summer, he will sign for a different team, just watch.
Also, people, keep replies respectful. Just because someone gives different info doesn't mean they are a crackpot or troll from the other side, passing on what I've been told. And, to reiterate, I personally would have loved the boy to sign, as I rate him highly, but unfortunately for us, so do other clubs in bigger leagues with more resources, and the fact the boy wants to play as high as he can, then unfortunately we aren't an option for him.

Agree, Stiv, just post on the issue rather than the poster, and keep it respectful. Both are only repeating what they have heard.
I am interested in how it turns out, but not to criticise the poster whose source was wrong. Things change, and there is a lot of moving parts, I imagine, before we even get to that window.
