Rohl has only been in the job for 4 months. This is not his squad. The players he did sign in January look promising.
I believe Rohl has very good ideas about football. He is a modern manager with excellent credentials.
But the squad he is currently working with at Rangers isn't good enough, imo. It needs a major rework in the summer. He needs the chance to build his own side.

You can see it coming even on this site. It starts with he isn't playing the right team, then his subs and tactics are wrong, then did you hear what he said in the pre- or post-match interview. All of these are now happening, so if we don't win the league and/or get knocked out the cup, it won't be long before there are people shouting for his head.
There is no patience to let something build, and we will continue like that until a manager does manage to do it in the first season. ?

I've not seen a lot of hounding, but in fairness, I'm only on here. I think our form clearly isn't good enough, and his tactics are currently a little naive. Hopefully these improve, and we challenge for the league next season. He will need to find the form he had a few months ago. We won't accept another third place finish.

I think Rohl is genuinely trying to move us toward a more attacking style, and we saw glimpses of that working against Hearts and on Sunday.
Our main issue seems to be reacting when momentum shifts mid-game. If we lose control in the first half, Rohl usually fixes it at the break, but if it happens early in the second, we just don't respond - even with subs.
It's the same old story: we lack that 'on-field manager' who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck. A manager can only do so much from the touchline, but I also don't think his changes did enough to swing the momentum back in our favour this time.

Why only 2 changes, though, when it was going downhill? Could've made more, or earlier, as others have suggested. Personally, he's building and should be left to do it instead of rinse and repeat. He will, as all do, make mistakes and learn.

Constantly sacking managers has knocked us back every season. Danny Rohl deserves at least the full next season, and we should allow him to build the team that he wants.

Fork, the problem is that (and I can't remember the game), but we made 3 changes and people were complaining that he changed too many. Hindsight is 20/20, but I don't think Diomande was the best sub to take control of the midfield when we were under the cosh. We needed someone stronger in there.

Fork, against Motherwell, made 5 changes and tried to defend the lead. We lost the same late goal and fans moaned about that.
On Sunday he put on Dio and Gassama, and both struggled to get to the pace of the game and change the momentum Celtic had. The only reason I can think of is that he was worried that putting on any more, and they didn't get to the pace, would have affected us more.
He had Aasgaard and Bajrami left as MF options, and it was there that we were struggling. So, are those the two players who affect that sort of game? ?
Just guesswork, but he would have had his reasons.

The good thing for me is that we no longer have fans in the boardroom. The new owners will decide if and when a manager will go.
Having fans with too much influence on these decisions has cost us big time, with one of our worst and least successful periods in our history.

It was bad defending that cost their goal and led to their penalty.
Do the basics, then we win the game.
They will have the ball at times and create chances over 90 minutes, so it's how we defend as a unit to get through it, and we failed to do that.

But that 'grass is greener' syndrome where we look from afar and envy another team's manager and focus on their apparent flawlessness whilst seeing every minor imperfections of our own is part of the problem.
Motherwell have 45 points since Rohl arrived, playing a game less; yet Rohl has won 48 in the same time. Both teams have had 6 draws in that time, so if Motherwell win their game in hand they will have the same points.
Yes, you can chat about less resource, but Rohl has had less of the one resource which can help - time.
So we are looking at a manager who has the same points as us at this time, the same draws as our manager, but is claimed to be better. That is after a pre-season and early results that had their fans shouting for him to be sacked. Go figure.

Angus, we have spent a fortune when Motherwell have barely spent a bean. ?♂️ How much have Motherwell spent and how much have we spent? And if they win the game in hand, they have dam points since Rohl came in is horrific.
Motherwell fans didn't want him sacked either.
Motherwell on paper have players nowhere near the level of ours. But you don't take that into consideration either. Put everything on the table not just stuff that suits your argument.
