Just looking for opinions here. If we lose to Hearts on Sunday, do posters on here think we are no longer in a title race/able to win the league?

13 Feb 2026 11:49:18
If we lose to Hearts, it's all over.

13 Feb 2026 11:51:31
If we don't win, then I think we'll be hard pushed to win the league. I'd say now we need to take 4 points from Celtic and 6 from Hearts to win.

13 Feb 2026 11:52:50
Lifted from X, so I can't claim any credit.

To me, this just cements the fact that Sunday is a must win, and anything less is simply not good enough!

Hearts can hit a maximum of 93pts.

Celtic can get 90pts.

Rangers can get 88pts.

All 3 likely to drop minimum 6pts.

Let's say 82 is the magic number:

Hearts to get 82 need 8 wins + 1 draw from 12 games.

Rangers to get 82: 10 wins from 12.

Celtic to get 82: 10 wins + 1 draw from 13.

8 behind is a huge ask.
Even with 11 games still to play.
It then means we are relying on others to do us a huge favour just to claw Hearts back.
And that's without Celtic in the equation.

Can anyone say we deserve to be in a title race if, in the last 4 games, we will have dropped points to the team in 1st, 4th and 5th?

13 Feb 2026 11:58:22
If we lose, its over, yes.

13 Feb 2026 12:00:08
Ibrox will be bouncing on Sunday, no negative thoughts, lads. Let's Go ❤️??

13 Feb 2026 12:08:43
Can still win the league, but chances would be very slim. If we lose, I think it's probably 3rd place for us.

13 Feb 2026 12:08:49
I can't see it.

13 Feb 2026 12:14:00
Yes, Orange, imo if we fall 8 points behind Hearts, then for the first time under DR I can't see us winning the league. Apart from Raskin, we have no leaders in our team, no fighters.

After the split, we have to go to Celtic and Hearts. Sure, we won at Parkhead earlier, but they could have been 4 up by halftime. Sunday is a win or bust for me.

13 Feb 2026 12:14:02
If Hearts beat us at the weekend, they probably deserve to win it. It's not impossible if that happens, but very unlikely unless Hearts bottle it.

13 Feb 2026 12:14:43
Would still be in it, but the chance would be remote.

13 Feb 2026 12:16:53
I think it becomes extremely difficult, but there would still be 11 games left for us, but that'll put the difference to 8 points.

There's been a lot of talk, usually before every game, that there are must win games. Imo, Sunday is most definitely a must win game.

13 Feb 2026 12:33:32
Tough one to take v Motherwell, but they have an excellent home record this season, and things could have been different if Chermiti had scored when 1 on 1 with the keeper. Also, we had a penalty claim for a foul on the same player.

Need to be positive, play our strongest 11 from the start, and get the 3 pts v Hearts.
DR has got us challenging for number 56, which was unthinkable when he stepped into the manager's job.
Cmon The Gers.

13 Feb 2026 12:55:16
At this point, I personally don't think we will win it, and that's my honest opinion. Be delighted if we do, but in key areas of the park we are still lacking, and I don't think the mentality is there.
Think they will win it, with us falling away to third.

13 Feb 2026 12:59:57
I try not to be negative, but after the start we had, I thought we were out of the title race. Danny Rohl has performed a miracle getting us back in, but most of the games have been a tough watch, saved only by the fact that the score was positive, which was the main thing. We are carrying too many passengers in games, guys like Aasgaard, Gassama, Chermiti, Miovski, so even when teams get players sent off it almost just evens up the numbers.

We had the chance to rectify our biggest problem, lack of a striker, in January and we blew it. Naderi may have a career at Rangers, but he won't score the goals we need this season. I do think if we don't beat Hearts, its all over for us and we will be left thinking what might have been yet again.

13 Feb 2026 13:00:15
100% if we lose Sunday, there is 0 chance we claw back 8 points with Parkhead and Tynecastle still to go to. We must win.

13 Feb 2026 13:11:20
If we lose, that's us out of it, and Danny needs to go.

13 Feb 2026 13:12:02
Before anyone asks, I'm being sarcastic on Danny going.

13 Feb 2026 13:17:16
Unfortunately, I agree, Rosedale. I can see us dropping more points than the other 2.

13 Feb 2026 13:27:16
To be honest, if Hearts win the league, I wouldn't be too mad.

Obviously, I would rather we won it, and i genuinely think we will.

As long as that mob do not win it. If they do, then its a stain on Scottish football as a whole.

13 Feb 2026 13:45:55
If we finish 3rd after blowing EUR44.1m on transfers, it will be an absolute disaster. FGS! This is the SPFL, where EUR44.1m spent on transfers should guarantee you the league.

Honestly, any Rangers fan who tries to spin a 3rd place finish as anything else than a disaster is a joke.

13 Feb 2026 14:08:33
So we do need others to drop points which would mean that the league is not in our hands.

13 Feb 2026 14:21:21
Second place isn't good enough never mind third.

13 Feb 2026 15:16:10
Well said, Flb!

Some of our supporters' standards are in the gutter. It's vomit inducing. ?

13 Feb 2026 19:09:17
If we lose on Sunday, it will be a major blow, but Hearts and Celtic will drop points in the run-in. The whole team needs to be focused on beating Hearts on Sunday, then beating Celtic twice at Ibrox in March. If we win all our games, the league is ours.

14 Feb 2026 01:21:41
How is the league not in our hands?
