Here's a frightening thought. What if its less RM and his tactics and more the players signed not being good enough? . Personally I think we have some good players but if u look at where they played it's hardly a high level. Aarons struggled to get game time in championship Djigga was playing reserve football fernandez in England league 1 Gassama lower end of championship Aasgard no idea but lower championship. My point is we've not signed guys playing at a really top level yet we think they should be con.

OWS I suspect it is a bit of both. RM has tactics which is asking different things of the players and it seems they are struggling to do it in matches. however mentioned in an earlier thread that they managed to play the tactics last week vs Plzen to win 3-0.
so was their mentality that the tie was already won and they didn't lift themselves for it. that is the claim for league so makes a bit of sense. once we went 1-0 down we played a bit better as well and that sounds similar as well. It is mentality coupled with the ability to play the system when the chips are down imo. so tbh I don't think the manager or the system would matter until e get rid of that thought process. might be miles of but it sounds logical.

Antman was amazing last year for Go ahead. Best assist stats in the Eredivise. What are you talking about OWS? . Why sign Antman and then not play him to his strengths? Why play Belguim's number 6 out of position? This is 100% RM fault.

Djiga played a season and a half in a league winning team so wouldn't class a few reserve games with wolves second half of last season as playing reserve football, he only went to wolves at the end of jan
Aarons has never struggled to get game time in the championship so i'm not sure what you mean there
Gassama has looked like a good player so far and has contributed massively to us getting through both ties in qualifiers.

On your point about it might be the players no being good enough? . I thought when I first seen ANTMAN he was getting to the bye line taking on players and looked exciting. Then as early as his next game against Dundee and last night with coaching from RM and his team .
It looks like they are trying to coach that out of him and Gassama . Playing along our box nearly getting caught out time and again . JB can't play with the ball at his feet giving it away constantly. Its early but this looks like we will be struggling big time in the league and any game tbh! He can't change a game and his stubbornness will come back and bite him big time and ya his own fault!

Dont buy into that walter, i think he is stifling the players with his method of playing which won't work, you can't judge gassamma and antman on a few games but you can martin who is in my opinion arrogant in his way, which is his way or no way, if by a miracle he gets us to the group stages of the champions league it will be more luck than judgement, the league is our bread and butter for me and there is no signs so far that he has got the capabilities to ever win the league for us, i sincerely hope i am wrong on this but is there anybody on this forum that has got faith in martin to think he is the right man for this job, i never wanted him in the club months before he was hired as i knew what he was like, and stand on me he will take us on a downward spiral.

So the club has bought a player and then coached him in 1 week to play differently to the way he was played at his last club. why would they not buy a player who fits 'the system' which Martin has agreed with the owners he will play. Antman must be decent though as it has taken him just a week to learn the system whereas it took Gassame at leats 3 weeks ?.

Other than gassama goals what has he actually done? I think he has done well because of his goals but he runs with his head down 99% of the time and doesn't pass/ cross when he should. He will be a good player but needs to lift his head more.

Is it too much to ask our players to use the wonderful facilities they have at their disposal to improve individual skill levels, we are never going to be signing 15-20 million players . Some of them need to up their game, imagine the manager expecting them to be able to pass and control the football, just saying.

Sydney iv already said i think we have good players but don't think it's fair to expect guys who've beel playing in lower leagues to come in and get into a shape and style after 6 matches buy it's also legitimate to ask the question about the quality of thes3 guys.

Even if the players signed aren't good enough, and after 6 games the jury is still out on ALL of them, then its still Martins fault because with the exception of young Cameron he has been involved in signing all of them . So, he and Thelwell would have to take the blame for another poor window . Biggest disappointments for me have been Aarons and Rothwell neither of whom have impressed so far.
Somebody actually said on here the other day that this has been a great window, the best for years. Not proven either way, yet.

We have a spine of Butland, Djiga, Raskin and Antman who I'd say were first names on the sheet. I think we need a new RB, LB, LCB and a Striker.
Also need to get whatever this system is dialled in so we can both defend and press as a team and go forward with pace.

I think the signings have been Excellent to be honest for the money paid. It also should not matter as every player around our first team should be good enough and are good enough to beat Dundee or Motherwell who both have new managers Btw so it only leaves one or 2 directions to point the finger as we deserved to loose both of those Games. I would say we have deserved to lose 5 out 6 games so far.
