Looks like we have missed out on Modric, he has chosen AC Milan instead of us ?
Danny Armstrong just been released today though. I think he would be a good addition for the wing on very little money.
1.) 04 Jun 2025 15:27:01
Danny armstrong has done very little really can't see why we would look at him, he hit a purple patch that lasted a couple of months a while back that's about it.
2.) 04 Jun 2025 15:35:33
Ac Milan or us. er, let me think.
3.) 04 Jun 2025 15:49:24
If we are looking at Armstrong then we ain't wining titles we are playing for 2nd.
4.) 04 Jun 2025 16:34:40
Armstrong is Free, only 27, Direct and fast with an eye for Goal so why wouldn't we be looking at him as we are not splashing out 7-8 Million on Cerny and we have lots of Areas to strengthen.
5.) 04 Jun 2025 16:59:01
From modric to Armstrong in the same sentence ?.
6.) 04 Jun 2025 17:05:23
Not understanding Sarcasm to reality of our situation ?.
7.) 04 Jun 2025 17:09:17
Mentioned Armstrong earlier as killie were dropping players Polar, you'd have thought I'd ? in their coffee.
8.) 04 Jun 2025 17:09:34
Polar while a don't think he'd be a bad squad option he wouldn't even replace cerny in the slightest. It would be like replacing a bmw with a fiat 500.
9.) 04 Jun 2025 17:55:05
Remember the last winger that looked good for Killie we signed? That should be enough to put anyone off Armstrong, even on a free.
10.) 04 Jun 2025 18:10:01
To be honest would take the lad for a squad player, we are going to lose a large amount of players and don't have mega bucks so makes sense.
11.) 04 Jun 2025 18:15:33
I'm not saying he is better than Cerny but he was on Loan and will cost 6-8 million. Armstrong played well against us and I watched him Rip Celtic apart one game so he has the ability and you never know he may well come better for us and we need wingers.
My point is he is free, fairly young, knows the Scottish game and would be cheap wages so worth a punt imo.
04 Jun 2025 04:45:03
I think we could be about to get the complete Wings Package that will be Huge for the Club.
2 parts will united the Fans being the new Manager and Sponsor But one extra Element will be highly contentious amongst the fans as per a recent pole.
1.) 04 Jun 2025 07:50:36
RM and MR.
2.) 04 Jun 2025 08:09:17
PB, are you maybe suggesting renaming the stadium?
3.) 04 Jun 2025 08:10:46
Make that make sense.
4.) 04 Jun 2025 08:14:22
Ah, c'mon PolarBear stop teasing us with crypic posts. i'm like a wee bairn at Christmas waiting for more news. Don't even get me started on transfers!
5.) 04 Jun 2025 08:18:34
Going by the most recent poll it's the manager that divides the fans most at the moment. If going by some cryptic hints it's renaming the stadium most I hear don't have a big problem with it as long as Ibrox is still main part of it. I'd take Ibrox RB stadium if meant good money.
6.) 04 Jun 2025 08:21:50
Rose for manager? rb sponsor? Can only hope haha.
7.) 04 Jun 2025 08:28:31
What you mean Polar? Red Bull Ibrox Stadium?
8.) 04 Jun 2025 08:38:58
Welcome to " Red Bull Ibrox, Walter Smith Stadium" any other thoughts?
9.) 04 Jun 2025 08:43:34
I think if done right, allowing naming rights over the stadium could be a good option for bringing in substantial amounts of new revenue to help the build/ rebuild. If it can be done sensitively, and still keep 'Ibrox' front and centre, then it doesn't need to have any real impact on the fans. If done wrong, it would be a sure fire way to annoy the fans from the get go.
10.) 04 Jun 2025 09:05:33
I think most fans realise for us to get back to the top consistently it's going to need us to be open to any avenues to cut the financial gap.
Stadium naming rights are fine by me if the money is a difference maker, it will always be called ibrox to us fans and that's what matters.
11.) 04 Jun 2025 09:07:43
So the manager and a player will create excitement and the renaming of the stadium will create fuss. if its that I will be fine. ?.
12.) 04 Jun 2025 09:17:26
I am sure this is the renaming of the stadium!
I read somewhere recently that this is in the pipeline.
Could be a huge sponsorship interface.
13.) 04 Jun 2025 09:20:18
What does that word salad even mean.
14.) 04 Jun 2025 09:21:03
Agree Kaiser, it will always be Ibrox Park to me. I've never called it anything else, never will.
15.) 04 Jun 2025 09:53:23
I'll see you that fork, and raise you "Keep Believing Red Bull Unibet Ibrox Arena"
16.) 04 Jun 2025 10:49:20
If RB are a part of the future would Ibrox be left in the name may be the Contentious part. I voted No in the Pole to Stadia name change but realistically it could bring in Huge Revenue, Upgrades, Documentaries. the opportunities could be Endless.
17.) 04 Jun 2025 10:56:43
When naming rights for stadium it's very rarely got the old name in it and that doesn't bother me as fans it will always be ibrox.
I very much doubt someone is going to pay top dollar and still have ibrox in it.
18.) 04 Jun 2025 12:30:27
Don't think re naming stadium will have as much pushback as some might think, always be Ibrox to us and we need cash so no brainier, we want back to where we belong quickly and that would be a huge boost.
19.) 04 Jun 2025 13:04:16
Coopers it will if they remove the Ibrox segment which realistically they would do, most posters are saying they would not mind a name but are still thinking Ibrox would be in the name.
20.) 04 Jun 2025 15:12:05
The naming rights are a must. I would rather have success and trophies. Not fussed what they call it. This could bring in potentially 25 mill over 5 years. This would just be the start of sponsorship and more income.
Fans know it's Ibrox. Only on TV will they use the full name.
21.) 04 Jun 2025 15:13:16
More interested in getting the manager bedded in and player sales and purchases going than a stadium rename that can wait till after the main works done, and only if the money is right.
18 May 2025 22:22:54
Been informed it's Marco Rose's job and he'll be in the door before the end of May.
He accepted the job weeks ago.
Terzic also spoken to and a third candidate unsure if either were offered the job.
Confirms what a few have said on her previously. Ancelotti and Lampard etc just throwing everyone off the scent.
Personally I think Rose will be a Brilliant appointment.
1.) 19 May 2025 05:37:40
"Ancelotti and Lampard etc just throwing everyone off the scent. "
Did we call in a favour from the Spanish and Italian press for Ancelotti? Could understand if the Scottish press first broke the news about him but there's no chance his name was thrown out there randomly.
2.) 19 May 2025 07:44:36
One thing I don't buy in to is the red herring claims.
Just don't see this being how we operate.
3.) 19 May 2025 08:03:19
EHL I don't believe it is red herring in the normal sense of the term.
I just believe that the new ownership are not coming out with statements quashing the rumours as the circus helps keep the truth under wraps.
4.) 19 May 2025 08:18:23
Agreed Asa.
5.) 19 May 2025 08:18:45
Asa I agree that is what it is. there is no need for them to put out false names as the press, social media and forums have a different name almost every day. why waste energy adding to that. out of work managers will have their agents linking them to the vacant jobs which could explain the number of names who are out of work or just about to become so.
6.) 19 May 2025 08:48:31
No red herrings just the press hearing things in the grape vine from parties who have been contacted from Rangers, you have got to ask agents if managers / coaches would be interested even if that's as far as it goes with some, at an early stage their could be double figures looked at and that's the way it should be, Rangers have kept stoom the way it should be.
7.) 19 May 2025 12:54:20
I believe there have been a lot of red herrings but not put out there by the club, created by bloggers, media and possibly agents.
8.) 19 May 2025 13:14:24
Absolutely I don't think red herring. Just going by the rumours on here you would need to employ someone full time to quash them. ? They have better and more important things to do.
9.) 19 May 2025 16:47:05
Nobody in the Scottish media has any contacts in the 49ers group so they're just farming the hysteria for ad revenue clicks.
01 Feb 2024 18:00:00
Cifuentes to Sunderland possibly.
1.) 01 Feb 2024 18:25:12
Ready to take sunderland to the next level. Be hilarious if beale said it again.
2.) 01 Feb 2024 19:57:05
Not leaving, wants to fight for his place.
3.) 01 Feb 2024 20:01:13
Can't see him saying that Paul Sunderland have Jack Clarke.
03 Jun 2023 10:17:22
In Greece at the moment at the Bar for a Byra with my Gers top and Barman pipes up.
"Ah Glasgow Rangers you have made enquiry for one of our best players. Palma"
I'm Sure he said 5 million Euros
Appreciate it's not new info on the group but interesting to know they are talking about it here and some Locals rate him.
May be some truth in the Rumour.
1.) 03 Jun 2023 11:41:35
Hope your no melting, enjoy the Alfas.
2.) 03 Jun 2023 13:42:03
Did he say he had heard of the Celtic manager?
3.) 03 Jun 2023 16:05:44
Celtic dinnae have a manager, its a bent stale kebab, hidden inside a charity shop jumper . theyv'e had us fooled for months :)
4.) 03 Jun 2023 22:01:46
Pong@costco managing Spurs, now that will work out just fine, another Levy patsy.
5.) 03 Jun 2023 23:23:06
I think Ange will do very well at Spurs, if he goes obviously.
6.) 04 Jun 2023 11:59:47
If Angie baby doesn't do well he's always got Watford after that unless Lampard gets in there . By the way he was sweating like a racehorse yesterday looks like he also had a vest on as well as a suit . We do care about Angie on here it's really cute no many Celtic managers get that love from the berrrs.
7.) 04 Jun 2023 13:07:33
Word over here in Australia from the greek/ australian contingent is the deals done, Ange to Spurs will be announced next week, better get that steel cage around parkdeed again for the staffs death gaunTlet celebrations, and there daily welcome party from there entitled ultraphanny division.
Clearly he is bolting before he gets Lennoned, now that Beale has sussed his tactics out and is building a squad that will tear his mob apart this season coming.
Apparently the offer of 2 different interview jumpers was too much for the big fella to resist, so he is off.
8.) 04 Jun 2023 15:21:19
Postewhatever knows what celtic do now, sell players and replace with crap, it's repeated over and over again, he's off and sensible to do so . Kennedy will replace him they have been praising him enough recently to make you want to vomit . I don't believe Moyes is daft enough to go there, unless I've misread it and it's Chris Moyles they mean? But if it is Moyes I trust we won't refer to him constantly as David, Dave or Davie .

Noticed Birmingham are signing a lot of players. Wonder if that will be the end of them
Coming back for Davies and Dowell.
1.) 07 Jul 2025 23:42:01
Not sure what plans we have for Davies but I hope they or someone comes back on for dowell. No disrespect to the lad.
2.) 07 Jul 2025 23:43:55
They will be strong favs for that league.
3.) 08 Jul 2025 01:48:48
Kyogo going to them is a mental one.
4.) 08 Jul 2025 02:56:25
Not being disrespectful just honest. Both bad bad buys and it's coming back to bite us because there ain't exactly stampede yet for them. Unfortunately best route Bham City don't seem that keen so speaks volumes. I'll be taken aback anybody comes in and we recoup some cash because they ain't played comp game in more than season. If we get 2m both I'll be astounded.
5.) 08 Jul 2025 07:01:04
I'm with you on that Miller, just call it what it is. The majority of our signings over the last 3 to 4 years have been absolute garbage. Our Managers have also been garbage. Millions wasted on rebuild after rebuild. How many years now have we heard about this one or that one is top drawer, aye right ok we've heard it before. Its still true whether or not its disrespectful. Martin has a job on his hands. I just hope he gets it and gets it quick.
6.) 08 Jul 2025 07:06:23
They payed plenty of competitive football last season with Birmingham and both done very well. I for one would like us to keep Davies for the season as we need an experienced back up, Dowell can go as we've plenty options in midfield.
7.) 08 Jul 2025 07:35:15
Birmingham fans all raved about Dowell and Davies, so much so they couldn't believe we put them out for loan when we ourselves were playing so bad in the league. "One man's sh**e is another man's treasure" as they say.
8.) 08 Jul 2025 07:42:26
Millerbrandwilson, out of curiosity what is it about ben davies that is so bad? People's attitude towards davies is way over the top, not anywhere near as bad as people make out just because he made one mistake against celtic.
both had good seasons at birmingham, they may well still come in for one of them or both. We didn't sign ryan kent till september after a good loan spell, just because it hasn't happened in the first 3 weeks doesn't mean it's not happening.
9.) 08 Jul 2025 08:35:59
The window is open until September 1st. Birmingham may still be interested but just haven't moved as yet. they haven't really replaced the players they lost yet since end of last season. so are two players who know the club and the manager priority. It might be a tact to get lower prices and salaries as we get closer to close of window. both will be fit from our pre-season and if they down get a move I suspect further loans.
10.) 08 Jul 2025 09:02:46
Blue will be more mental when he can't get in the side for Jay Stansfield, Osayi-Samuel was a good signing for them.
11.) 08 Jul 2025 09:10:09
Angus, I agree, but that holds up our transfers.
We need to see players leaving soon. So much work to do on that front.
12.) 08 Jul 2025 09:14:37
Angus they have signed a couple of midfielders mate, Dowell was playing more as a rw for them, signed a couple of wingers as well, not signed any cb's though.
13.) 08 Jul 2025 09:16:48
Unfortunately for us there isn't any other interest in the players - so Birmingham hold all the cards and will more than likely wait until the end of the window in order to drive down our valuations.
14.) 08 Jul 2025 10:52:06
EHL we shouldn't be playing hardball anyway due to the wages they are on i'd accept £2m combined. Maybe even less and itll save £2.5m in wages for the upcoming season.
15.) 08 Jul 2025 11:23:57
Dowell is Aberdeen class at best.
16.) 08 Jul 2025 12:04:20
Reading Birmingham FC forums they want Davies back and most fans are saying he'll be with them.
Not much mention of Dowell.
Davies i'd have back before Propper or King
Dowell when fit I think isn't too bad we have worse but we will probably have too Many midfielders for him to get much game time.
17.) 08 Jul 2025 12:05:51
R2 I'm not convinced he'd get a game for Aberdeen. Obviously our game doesn't suit him up here. Hopefully he gets a move back south, stays fit and has a decent career.
18.) 08 Jul 2025 12:16:04
BigDado, who said we're playing hardball?
19.) 08 Jul 2025 12:37:40
Birmingham want both and we shouldn't be hard to deal with £2.5 million for both would be a great deal.
20.) 08 Jul 2025 13:32:15
Star correct I used transfermarkt and whilst they have bought others in their areas of the pitch they haven't replaced the same numbers they have lost. I still see they have space for both.
Mark Birmingham will unfortunately do what is best for them and not care about us. I think EHL has said we have players identified and we just have to hope they are still free or are convinced to come to us and don't sign for others.
21.) 08 Jul 2025 13:58:29
I expect both to be Birmingham players by close of window. All 3 parties want it and it's chess at the minute regarding fees.
22.) 08 Jul 2025 17:47:26
They were good enough to get bham promoted, but now they got more money they will look elsewhere, think our bet would be to sell to similar clubs chasing promotion this year.
02 Jul 2025 21:22:48
Welcome Fernandez.
29 Jun 2025 01:52:07
Christian Eriksen, would everyone be happy if we signed him assuming we didn't have to break the bank.
1.) 29 Jun 2025 04:06:32
Eriksen is a cracking player but, i don't think he has the legs to play a high tempo game like i'm lead to believe RM likes to play. I also think he would command a pretty hefty wage.
2.) 29 Jun 2025 04:58:43
He's still very! fit we need someone like him to break down blocks, Wonderful player in his dat.
3.) 29 Jun 2025 09:03:47
Exactly R1. A wonderful player in his day. His day is done and not right for Scottish football without even considering his wage. No no no.
4.) 29 Jun 2025 09:34:26
I think he'd be a decent enough signing. Not sure whether he'd fit into our which structure.
5.) 29 Jun 2025 09:52:06
He wouldn't be playing a high tempo game in 9 out of 10 Scottish games. He would play mostly in 1 half of the pitch. ?.
6.) 29 Jun 2025 10:40:37
Intelligent player who can see a forward pass instantly - would do a job for us no doubt. Wages big issue though?.
7.) 29 Jun 2025 13:12:07
Is this as well as Coady, Vardy and De Jong?
8.) 29 Jun 2025 13:55:38
He might also be the one who can find that killer pass through a packed defence, I'd have him.
25 Jun 2025 16:01:57
Where is A-A-Ron right now ?.
1.) 25 Jun 2025 17:52:46
Balakey do we have a balakey, do you mean Blake? ??Key and peele is a great piece of comedy especially for being a yank show.
2.) 25 Jun 2025 18:00:25
Lol, I've been calling him that too ever since he got linked to us.
12 Jun 2025 10:34:35
Mulligan at Ibrox for Medical this morning.
1.) 12 Jun 2025 11:15:51
We don't do medicals at Ibrox.
2.) 12 Jun 2025 11:25:03
Maybe he's injured because we definitely do them.
3.) 12 Jun 2025 12:07:26
Great news i'd he is joining us.
4.) 12 Jun 2025 13:30:39
That's good news, I like Mulligan from what I saw last season.
08 Jul 2025 11:57:38
Listening to RM sounds like he will have to go elsewhere to find game time this season.
Hopefully just a loan he's one I think the Club should wait and see how he progresses.
07 Jul 2025 16:10:27
Surely King will be loaned or sold as well as Propper.
29 Jun 2025 12:09:54
There was a lad at Hearts that we were interested in he played up Front, Can't mind his name.
29 Jun 2025 01:41:47
No Fee, Low wages, can score in Scotland So less of a risk as a big money signing could be.
I could see him having same impact as Boyd and think he'd be a great signing.
28 Jun 2025 16:35:07
Few other places stating OM are coming to the Party with figures of 20m quoted, Hopefully True as that would fund a lot of our rebuild.
08 Jul 2025 12:04:20
Reading Birmingham FC forums they want Davies back and most fans are saying he'll be with them.
Not much mention of Dowell.
Davies i'd have back before Propper or King
Dowell when fit I think isn't too bad we have worse but we will probably have too Many midfielders for him to get much game time.
05 Jul 2025 19:10:43
Bit of a Disgrace you calling an Ex Rangers player that actually did contribute something a Disgrace is it not. You're quick enough having a go at members if they say anything Bad or have an opinion about Dessers etc.
01 Jul 2025 14:26:34
I get the trading model but most important thing is to win the league and on the right money imo Players like Vardy, Rothwell and Coady will give us a better chance
We need some experienced players of others are leaving.
26 Jun 2025 23:53:51
I'd disagree with you there then as I think he has the potential to go on to be a Top player. He wasn't ahead of Dessers as he hadn't played at the required level and as PC said he was being built up, I can only see him getting better and I reckon he will be atia big team over the next few years. Just my opinion of course, hopefully I'm right and we bank a big sell on fee.
In 2 minds if we should sell now but if a big offer comes in which might not go much higher in Scotland
I guess we take it a move on.
26 Jun 2025 17:35:08
EHL, I assume you're being sarcastic as I am.
Certain and I'm sure you can see it that Igamane will go into bigger and better teams than Rangers or Lille if he stays injury Free so personally I don't think we should be accepting less than 15million for him with a decent sell on clause. If and Buts I know but that's what the majority of transfers are.
