How much do you think we can generate this window and will RM be give full amount of money generated to spend
BUTLAND 3M
YILMAZ 3M
PROPPER 2.5M
DANILO 4M
DAVIS 2.5M
DOWEL 0.5
DESSSER 4.5
MOTONDO 1M
KING 0.5M
BARAMI 2M
TOTAL 23.5M could add 10 to 15m if Raskin is sold.
Think that is realistic total as we will still be paying for some of these and would not be great loss to club as 7 off these are not going to be considered as starters.
Also save in region of 8m in wages.

Agree4 Disagree0

I would be over the moon with £3m for Butland, I just can't see it and think we'd be lucky to get £500k. Most of your other prices are inline with my thoughts. I just can't see that many moving in one window.

10 Jun 2025 07:25:09
Agree with that Dado. To get that lot off the wagebill would be a dream but I fear fanciful and unrealistic. Some will surely go and I'm excited as I feel our recruiting dept are on it and fresh talent will invigorate us.

10 Jun 2025 07:26:38
No money for matondo as too high a wage and he is awful and 6.5 for Davies and Danilo can't see that and king I can't see anyone paying 500k and hoping someone takes dowell even for free the rest maybe we can get that Butland I've no idea what someone would pay - danillo concerns me as can't see anyone wanting him as has been very poor and is always injured ??????.

10 Jun 2025 07:48:18
Gers, if hypothetically we did generate 23m for those players.

By the time you deducted money owed, salary compensation, agent fees etc you'll be looking at around 60-70% of that value.

Then, of that's the publicised value it would probably be phased and include add ons - so in real terms we'd be looking at 40-50%.

10 Jun 2025 08:02:42
Cifuentes to add to that list. Should be looking to generate around 20M+ for sales not inc a Dio or Raskin sale.

Can see us spending upwards of 20M on 4/ 5 players and the rest being free transfers or loans. i'd be happy with that.

10 Jun 2025 08:08:37
Money owed and salary compensation is only required if the player is going to a club on less wages.

10 Jun 2025 08:15:50
First of all rm will have nothing to spend. It's clear it's thellwell that will be player recruitment. rm can suggest players that's all it's up to thellwell and co to take players in. Rm is head coach, he ain't in charge of recruitment. Rm will be given a sqaud of players and told to coach them.

10 Jun 2025 08:20:42
Mccausland added too.

10 Jun 2025 08:36:15
I'd be relatively happy if we took a hit on some of these players. The main thing is to get them off the books. We're winning nothing with them next season.

10 Jun 2025 08:37:26
De Boer I am not sure it is. If a player has a contract and doesn't want to leave but we want him to he would/ may be allowed the remainder of his contract to be paid up similar to when we get rid of of a manager. that is why it is reported that the club want a player to ask for a transfer before they will consider it. if they ask to leave then they lose those legal protections. think that is the employment law take on it anyways. football is different though. whether there is another employer is irrelevant. think if you had a term contract and your company wanted to get rid you would expect it to be paid up.

10 Jun 2025 08:39:55
De boer so we owe 2 million on Dessers so do we not pat it.

10 Jun 2025 09:02:47
Not quite true DeBoer.

We have staggered deals on most players (like most clubs) so if we still owe part of the fee this is settled as part of the deal - so we get less money.

For those whom love an amortized deal, of we have chosen this approach - it won't impact the cash we get, but it will significantly impact how much we can convert towards signing a new player.

10 Jun 2025 09:49:46
We ain't getting 4m for Danilo, maybe half that, not saying he couldn't do a good job for a team if stays clears from injury but we will take a big hit just to get him off wage bill.

10 Jun 2025 12:12:33
We would owe any remaining fee anyway if we sold them or not. So any cash we generate on a sale would be in addition.

10 Jun 2025 12:14:24
Does anyone expect a beeak through season for any of our young players.

10 Jun 2025 12:20:17
Personally I would keep Butland but I was just wondering who people think we could get as our first choice keeper who would be better than him . I've heard Gunn on a free but that would be a downgrade for me and the Ramsdale rumour is just a joke as far as I'm concerned.

10 Jun 2025 12:26:36
Dessers is a good example.

Say we get a £4.5m for him, to keep the maths simple.

- £500k will go to agents, player, management teams etc and not to us.
- £2m will be used to settle the money we still owe.
- £500k salary compensation as he won't get what we pay him anywhere else.

So we have actually got £1.5m.

Of which some will only be due is he meets certain performance criteria - say £500k.

So we get £1m, and even that might not all be paid upfront.

This is why there was such outrage at the accounts last year when it was revealed what we made from player sales.

It's also why many within the club claim MB set us back years.

10 Jun 2025 12:55:05
Doubt if we get near to some of those figures, especially for the players that are out of favour.

10 Jun 2025 13:07:18
EHL i would say that it was the previous boards fault for getting us into the mess that we are in and not any of the past managers fault. They knew our wage structure was madness and out of control yet they allowed it to continue and were happy to provide loans every year because they were utterly reckless with our finances in the first place.

10 Jun 2025 13:51:28
I agree with you three cheers, Beale should clearly not have been given such a level of responsibility. He was a rookie boss and was given carte blanche with our finances.

I get all the sums add up, but we still have to pay all those costs if he stays, getting some money back for him would cover the majority of the outlay we still have on him with a small surplus. Seems better than paying 4, 5, 6 million for him over the next two seasons, whatever it adds up to.

10 Jun 2025 15:10:03
The big money contracts were happening before Beale. Gerrard and Wilson handed some out.

10 Jun 2025 15:55:54
Yeah, we don't have to look far to find someone to blame.

Main point is that given the current situation, even if we sell a number of players for £20m - we'd probably be lucky if that is converted to £10m for transfers.

(Except any of the newer signings)

Good news is, it would free up a good chunk of wages.

10 Jun 2025 16:03:33
Are his 20+ goals a season not worth £1M to us though before we even start to talk about who replaces him and how much that would cost. so reverese engineering EHLs figures for Turgemon
£4M transfer fee
£500k agents fees etc
signing on fee say £500k
salary £15k per week ( so actually just save £520k from Dessers)

also easy to see why last board did what they did. they were fans who wanted success and at least put their money in. we have fans who despite our financial troubles still want us to spend £10M on Downes, and 2-3 other players at £3-£4M each. despite not having the revenue to do that. pot/ kettle but without having the wherewithal to support your mistakes with hard cash in those loans.

10 Jun 2025 16:31:04
Angus, that all depends on if he's a starter or not.

We can't afford to have someone on his salary on the bench.

It's quite a pickle and one I'm glad I don't need to solve.

10 Jun 2025 16:39:36
Maybe right Angus, I don't know the exact figures if I am honest. Just feel we have held onto players too long in recent years, losing them for nothing when contract runs down and then having to spend money we don't have to replace anyway. I actually like him as a player but think we can have a better side without him.

I have been critical of the old board many many times. But I always felt they had the club's interest at heart and that the club was safe in thier hands. They stopped the ten and have helped bring in the new owners who are as good as we could have got to come in. They deserve credit for all that.

I know its a bit counter to my posts but I actually really appreciated the old board and everything they tried to do for the club. It just did not work out for a number of reasons, some within and some outwith thier control.

10 Jun 2025 19:32:04
EHL and Tommy I agree on both posts. I like him but can see the point in selling at the right price and that he costs a few bob if he is on the bench. at the moment I am not sure he would be there given we have no ready made replacement and those being linked with are also young but also playing him stops progression of others. Also glad I don't have to make the decision either

Tommy I can't remember you being overly critical and find your posts to be balanced. Like EHL as well I find myself nodding in silent agreement to a lot of both of your points.
