Nottingham Forest have been linked with £2m move for Barisic, Ross Wilson keen to sign him apparently.
I think he's been a great servant for the club, however, he's 30 and one year left on his deal. I'd personally like to see Yilmaz be given a chance as I felt last season Borna could be a bomb scare at times.
We paid £2.2m for him so would be asking for £3m minimum.

If the fee is in the £5M range then ok but anything less than £4M then not for me, if he is happy I would keep him and be happy to let him go for nothing in the summer. Think he could be phenomenal with 3 tall strikers to aim for. Genuinely can’t remember a better crosser of the ball at Ibrox. I know he is very week defensively but still a great backup that will push Yilmaz to become better and may take the shirt at times throughout the season if Yilmaz’ form dips.

Barisic was one of the top players in the SPFL last season. The 5th highest average match rating overall. 10 goal contributions including 9 assists. He isn’t a bad player to have. Having said that, a swap for a much younger player with potential for future sell on might be a screwed move.

Sick of seeing borna beaten at the back post he gets caught sleeping far too often particularly against Celtic. He’s been a good servant but his time is up imo. We hold onto guys for too long these days.

If that's your opinion on Borna Barisic in terms of defending then i would love to hear your opinion of the Captain because he is far worse.
Gets praised because he has "good" stats for a RB! i. e he scores penalties. What's his stats like for defending though?

Been a good servant and has a great delivery. Much like Tav though . can be suspect at the back. Last year of contract and not getting any younger. Swap for Panzo would be ideal, failing that any profit a bonus.

On a connected note SPFL teams are already targeting Yilmaz with high balls to his post. Borna is a European football full back, less suited to defending in SPFL, Yilmaz yet to prove he is better in SPFL or Europe.

Borna's time with us is up and in all honesty it should have been a few seasons ago, i understand that he can cross a ball but that is all he really has in his locker, struggled in every derby match and cost us 2 goals from sleeping at the back post. Not shifting players at his age when you are being offered half decent cash is exactly the reason why we are having to rebuild in this window.

Why can’t we afford to let a player leave for nothing when most of our signings are free transfers? So by that rational if any of our players are in the last year of their deal then we should sell for a cut price couple of mill? Celtic sold Armstrong for £7M with six months of his deal left, because they wouldn’t be held to ransom.
We should do the same.
People saying he bottles it against Celtic, I tend to agree- but we play Celtic 4 times a season. There is another 30 odd games that have to be won.
I like Yilmaz, gets involved in the game and drives forward more than Borna, but don’t think we will have the same amount of assists.

If Borna is willing to sign a new deal I'd be happy enough keeping him. Didn't cost much and has enough plus points to outweigh the bad. We'd need to spend more than £2m going out to replace him with like for like quality given he and Yilmaz are the only natural left backs. (I know Sterling can play there, but I don't like square pegs in round holes. Sands "could play" CB as well remember)
If he doesn't want to sign a new deal, I would take £2m for him now given his age and contract situation so we get something and see what we can do about another natural left back. If Panzo is a natural left back and it suits all parties to include him in the deal, fair enough.
So IMO it really all depends on the player and whether he'll sign a new deal. I think Beale likes him, so would be surprised if ha hadn't been offered one.

I've seen Watford have been linked with a loan and future fee for Luis Palma, are we entirely out of the running now for Palma? If there's a loan and option to buy with Aris for Watford I don't see why we wouldn't also give that a push.

To me the guy seemed way to risky a signing especially for the money. I’m much happier Watford talking the risk rather than us, I know every signing has a element of risk but it looks like we’re going for quality or someone the gaffer has worked with or has knowledge of.
Even palmas highlights didn’t overly impress me and normally the make players look better than they are. It was just a few nice free kicks in half empty stadiums. Keep the money to pay for Danilo and cifuentes and a Left sided centre back position. And a left back if BB leaves, and if that all happens I’m more than happy with our squad and obviously get rid of the players the gaffer has no interest in playing because there either not good enough or don’t fit MBs style. And to be fair the guys that have respect on here for being accurate and have sources I. e Copland, John27 have said that the players that I mentioned we want we’ve got a good chance of getting. Which is positive time ahead. It’s feels like we’ve got a new team, with new capabilities or dimensions.

My information is that is the player Beale met with that didn't feel right. The story I was told was Beale had a bad vibe from the agent right from the start. Spoke to the player and we were a stepping stone that he just wanted to use to lift his profile. Wasn't bothered about playing for the club as long as his profile was bettered.

Rangers ARE a stepping stone to a bigger league down South. It’s one of the major selling points we can offer any potential new signing. Big home crowds, European football, Old Firm games, with the potential to get a big move down South - This is what we offer players. There is nothing wrong with that.
Raskin has already said he aspires to move down South.

I don't believe that Colak would be the answer. Being honest, we are out because of poor defending away from home and our inability to put the ball in th net tonight. With a quality striker, (better than Colak), and a decent centre back, we would be through to the next round. We missed the players that are currently out injured. Our best striker tonight was Wright and that says it all for me.

Btw I’m not saying Colak would’ve done better holding the ball up, I’m 100% aware that isn’t the sort of player he was, he was a box striker. The chance in question was when Dessers pulled it wide in front of goal and it deflected off Benfica player, I believe any decent player would’ve buried that chance instead of trying to loop it in.
We lack goals in this team, boggles the mind some are claiming fans are being unfair to point that out….

Laudrup i am sure we all agree we need better firing power but come one. to suggest replacing dessers for Colak. he wasnt good enough for us and done very little since going away to suggest he would have converted the few chances we had last night. it was the whole team that let us down (and i am not being over critical) i am proud of how far we got but when i saw the starting line up it showed how injuries have impacted our team. proud bear and could we have won that. maybe a little more effort and luck yes, we were one goal with self inflicted injuries last week doing the damage.

Personally I'd rather we signed a defender if we are bringing one more in!

Dion Sanderson, so I now live in the Midlands and was recently asked to attend the Birmingham City vs Cardiff (I booed Ramsay) game for hospitality with work.
Sanderson was an absolute bomb scare in that game, his own fans are basically happy to see him go. We shouldn’t touch with a barge pole.
However, there is a Japanese boy Miyoshi who would be worth a look, creative.
