One of my good sources told me that we DID approach Potters. Board are hoping MB resigns as we would pay no compo. If we sack him we have to pay and apparently he told JB that if he is sacked he wants every penny he is due. Looks like board are trying to use the option of trying to embarass him into submission to hand in his notice. Time will tell.
On a foot note. We can never get managers like Potter now. We are embarassing ourselves trying that one. Wee Davie Martindale for me all the way.

Fez I reckon we stand a great chance of getting Potter.
He is a quality manager and is looking to rebuild his reputation after his stint at Chelsea. Don’t get me wrong I am under no illusion that he would be using us as a stepping stone back to the promise land that is the Premier League and I really don’t mind that. We can’t afford to take a chance on our next manager once Beales out and our Board know that. Potter and Reid all the way ????????.

The issue with Potter is that Chelsea are probably still paying him and there would usually be a clause that if he took another job then that would break his contract, so he won't be coming.

No Scottish based team will ever be able to compete in the Champions League due to the financial disparity that exists. Rodgers, GVB, Ange, all gave it a crack in recent years and couldn’t lay a glove on teams at that level.
If Potter’s ambition is to manage a team that can make it to the Champions League, but have no realistic way of competing once there, then Scotland is the place for him. Make no mistake, the Champions League is a cash grab exercise for Scottish clubs - Nothing more. If Rangers finish 3rd in a group and parachute down to the Europa League knockouts that would be an ideal situation for us.

If Tavernier were Scottish he would have walked into the team but its a lot harder getting into the England team. Guys like Kent and Goldson too would have been regular Scotland starters. MB problems lies in he is doing to many jobs and not doing the one well enough he is employed to do. We do not need a Jack of all trades master of none. We need to master at managing/ coaching.
He us the DOF, the Press officer and I hear he even tells tge chefs what to cook and he actually gives them recipies. I think he sees hinslef as a Delia Smith.
MB is prooer out his depth. No way he did all the stuff whilst Gerard sat in his office playing PS5. His record is a continuation from QPR. poor at best. 60% win ratio there. 50% with us. Get him out the door.
