John depends on the buyer mate, we should try hold out and get as much as poss. Think we got short changed on sakala I’d been wanting €5m for sakala.
I’d say £1m for lunny is fair. If it gets him off the wage bill and frees up a space in the squad for a younger fitter better player.
If we add in saved wages say £25a week? That’s aner 1.2mil so we’ve got 2m by losing him.
I’d say that’s a good deal for us.

Lundstrum has been here for 2 years now. The amount of bad games he’s had far outweighs the good ones. A central midfield of Lundstrum and Kamara last season was one of the least dynamic and creative I’ve ever seen. We had to go and get Raskin and Cantwell in January because it was clearly a problem area.

Lundstrum’s head goes down when things are going against us. That’s exactly the mindset we’re trying to get rid of.

Also, Lundstrum is the most one paced player I’ve watched in a long time. Everything is a slow jog. There’s no bursts up the pitch, no sprints to close people down, it’s no good. Look at the intensity Raskin plays with. It’s night and day.

Lundstrum and Kamara need to go this summer IMO. I wouldn’t have even given Jack a new contract. We need to get these people out, and get better players who are hungry to be successful in to Ibrox. That’s what a rebuild is. Will the addition of Cifuentes alone be enough to revitalise this midfield? Fingers crossed or it’ll be another long season.

The question I ask myself is whether I would want Rangers to spend more than £1m on Lundstram right now. The answer is no, so on that basis I'd suggest that taking the money and moving on from a player who no longer seems to have a natural place in the team (Raskin looking a far more mobile and progressive "6") would appear the right move. The challenge we have is bringing in a replacement for such a low fee, though I wonder if John Fleck might be an option that would bring some experience back in to the fold - did he ever sign a new deal with Sheffield?

Itks a shame we didn’t sign Ryan Fraser when he was still a teenager at Aberdeen. We wanted a young exciting team to put together and work our way up the leagues. Had we signed Ryan then he would’ve been a massive asset and could still be playing for us now.

£700k is a decent offer for Lundstrum which we should take. He's done nothing for 18 months. Get him off the wages. Too many of our fans have unrealistic values of our players, £7-£8 million for Barasic, starting at £2 million for Lundstrum and then follow that up with he's crap.

People need to stop comparing what we get in transfer fees with what Celtic get. The difference is, Celtics players are proven winners, they win trebles regularly and we win nothing with players who fans want to sell for millions. The cold hard truth is that Celtic on a business level are miles ahead of us.

Its strange that Lundstram struggled under Gerrard and now under Beale, but flourished under GVB , one of the very few. He doesn`t suit the midfield role that requires him to tuck in behind our right back which is how Gerrard and now Beale want him to play. Playing central, driving forward or even dropping into a back three is what he does well. He doesn`t look happy since Beale came in so with only a year to go selling him might be the right move but not for as little as £700,000, down to England. They pay over the top prices for everybody so why should we sell on the cheap. We won`t save anything as we will have to buy a replacement and pay a big wage if the player is to be half way decent. Not that I want Sam Field but he has year to go and I bet QPR don`t let us have him for that price.

If we can get £700k for Lundstrum when he is in the last 10 months of his contract we should take the money and run. We need to take into consideration what we will save in terms of wages and I would imagine that this will be £1m+.

The other benefit for me is that he won't be at Rangers since I really do expect him to be a liability in the last months of his contract just as he was at Sheffield United!

We could hopefully use the money to acquire the lad from QPR.

Aberdeen got £1.1m for Ramadani after holding out would expect more for Lundstram. Premier league experience, recently played in a Europa League final and was instrumental in getting us there.
