Guys I've bust my butt trying to explain this for 2 days, if I'm wrong then you can rip the mince, but I'm fairly sure i'm not, step back n look at it.
Win tomorrow we go to the 3rd qualifier, lose that 3rd quali it's a playoff for Europa/ conference result depending, win it its CL playoff, win that it's CL, lose it it's Europa League phase guaranteed.
Go out to pana it's shaktar/ besitkas win it's Europa playoff, lose its a conference playoff lose that were out.
Hope you find whatever path you think is correct, I've tried to help will not be trying again, good luck.

The best source I found that seemed to spell it out clearly was Wikipedia (so take it with a pinch of salt) however according to this should we beat Panathanikos and advance to the 3rd round and be defeated then, we would drop into the Europa league group/ league phase, however apparently either Servette or Viktor's Plzen would drop into the Europa league Play off qualifier, allegedly as we are in the 'league path' and they are in the 'champions path'. No clue as to the validity of this but it seems to align with what the media seems to run with in that we should guarantee Europa league after this round.
I personally assumed we would anyway due to us dropping into the Europa League last season after the Kyiv game in the 3rd round.
That's the best I could find on it, so I may also be wrong Fork.

This is incorrect. All that people need to know is that if we progress against Panathinaikos then the worst case scenario becomes Europa League league phase football.
The qualifying process is confusing and people are looking at the wrong thing.
The break down is this. we are in the League Path of Champions League qualifying, which is for teams that didn't win their domestic title. Teams who lose in the third qualifying round of the League Path drop directly into the Europa League league phase. Making the play-off round and losing is still the same Europa League league phase, but there is also a €4m-€5m bonus payment for the team.
The confusion exists because teams who won their domestic league and are in the third round of the Champions Path of the Champions League qualifiers do actually drop down into the Europa League play-off round.

Fork if we win then the worst we can get is the Europa League group phase. forget RR and everyone else as they are getting it from the UEFA champions league page which is really clear. under the 3rd qualifying round where we are even named (alongside Pana) it says - Defeated sides in the league path switch to the league phase of the UEFA Europa League.

Last year we lost to Shaktar in the 3rd Rnd Play-off and went straight into the group stage of the Europa League

That was what i thought Fork but as we are not champions and our path is different even if we win tonight and lose to Servette/ Plzen we automatically go to the Europa League Groups. If Servette or Plzen were to lose against us they have to play the Europa Qualifier as they have the Champions Path.
