John my info is all board members are gone only one remains. the top man, all previous board members sacked, full announcement mid june ( legal reasons) its already done, this is from inside ibrox,2 friendlies next year Middlesborough and brugge, fact, no word on Manager my end, I hope this gets posted, as I'm blocked at moment. not sure why.

Lets not forget this is a phased takeover - similar to how Leeds was acquired.
49ers and Cavenagh only need 51% to have majority control.
The rest can be figured out thereafter. 51% is not an issue.
49ers are too deep into this personally and financially now to walk away. Relax yourselves.

Hold on am I wrong in saying that the 49ers would be fined a massive amount of they pulled out the deal at this stage? I'm sure I read that somewhere. Could be wrong but I'm sure it was somewhere.
And surely if a price was already agreed and signed off it can't be changed? I'm not a financial expert but surely that would be written into any deals signed so far.

I was under the impression the takeover was at the stage where each party faces significant financial penalties should they pull out.

I am going to choose to ignore this rumour as I just don't think it's plausible. I doubt the 49ers would put as much into this and be as involved in the decision making if they were pulling out or the takeover was in trouble.
This info would suit the narrative of the manager holding out till takeover complete but I just don't see it. For me it will be complete by mid June as was stated and if that's been publicly shared I doubt that any real issues with timelines would come into the equation.
Keep calm folks. It will all be ok.

I took from that they were willing to sell but if the takeover didn't go ahead they lose the sale and the money they get from selling their shares.

@dadoprso they didn't materialise or we were going to offer the deals and had to withdraw due to sale not completing. Either way, John shares what he's heard, at no point does he guarantee it, so perhaps, it wasn't 100% accurate info he got.

The Parks don't need to sell all or any of there shares for the 51% to be reached. The takeover group seem to be frustrated that it is taking so long.
It is a rumour and like I say where there is silence then someone will fill it with noise.
I would be ready for the press to be full of this tomorrow but that source will be here. the press running with it doesn't mean it is true.
King said it would be mid-June he thought before it concluded; it is mid May so we are a month away from that.
we are all anxious as nothing is happening but just let us wait and see.

so if it were true then it is the most severe case of brinkmanship I have seen for a while if what is being said is true. they hold out for a higher price, that doesn't work and the 49ers walk away, we go bust and their shares are worth nothing.
That isn't happening as they aren't brave or stupid enough to do that
I suspect it is a story to explain the delay in the takeover happening from say end of May ?.
