Hi lads/lassies. don't know if people will remember but I mentioned I was getting an eye operation for pterygium, I had the op this morning, home now, a lot of people said once I got the anaesthetic I wouldn't feel a thing, and you were all absolutely correct. its now that it's a bit sore, but the surgeon said it would be like broken glass in my eye for next week or so (he's not wrong) was just coming on to say thanks to everyone who put my mind at ease regarding the operation as I was totally bricking it until I came on here to seek advice.

onto the recovery now, patched up eye for a wee while, month off work (plenty World Cup matches to keep me occupied). thanks again people ?.

Good to hear your op is done and you're on the mend. Probably easier to watch Scotland with one eye covered. I usually do it behind spread fingers. Hope you don't mind the wee bit of humour.

Glad to hear you're ok and back home, Goingfor56. Onwards and forwards!

Glad to hear you are back on the mend and it didn't turn out to be as bad as you thought.

JFM, he definitely has an eye on you (sorry GF56). I did have another joke but it wasn't a patch on this one. I'm here all week. ?

04 Jun 2026 20:26:56
Excellent Goingfor56.

04 Jun 2026 20:55:53
While you are visually impaired briefly, you can see what it must be like for Collum and Beaton lol

Good news 56! From my own recent surgical experience, the benefits far outweigh the worry. I'm so glad you are on the road to recovery.

05 Jun 2026 05:24:32
Hope you make a speedy recovery, bud, and just be thankful we had no more Rangers games to watch, or that might've buggered the other one, lol

Anyways, as John stated, sunglasses inside, and let's hope Scotland give us more than 3 games.

05 Jun 2026 09:42:44
Going for, take advantage of your recuperation. Maybe just maybe you might just fancy the missus again. Well, at least until you get the patch off lol.

05 Jun 2026 11:29:44
Goingfor56, speedy recovery. ????

05 Jun 2026 12:38:07
Great stuff, Going for.
Hopefully a quick recovery mate. ?

05 Jun 2026 16:09:35
Great news that it all went well, Going. Everybody naturally gets very fearful when it's anything to do with their eyes.

All the best for your recovery, bud. Enjoy you wee enforced break.

05 Jun 2026 16:46:49
Cheers for all the best wishes etc, guys, much appreciated. Recover now, then get set to get the left eye done at start of next year. ?
