We've went from "5 deals done" which was made to sound like 5 signatures on contracts to "waiting to see what happens with 3 main targets". who were the 5 you guys were so sure about? I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, just trying to make sense of it all.

I definitely think we're very interested in signing redzic the young Hungarian winger ? Very highly rated and a good bit of interest in him from us and a good few others ?I think we'll possibly sign one more midfielder, possibly redzic and a striker if we can sell/loan Danilo and that will conclude our business i'd think ?I'm very happy with our 3 new signings so far ?.

Pre contract deals could be agreed, whether they get brought forward would then be looked at if players left towards end of the window. Clubs might be open to selling a player but not until end of the window either as they are important first team players and either want time to replace them or need them to play in a number of games until they can let them leave.
Loads of reasons that things may not be happening right now and that's just two possibilities. Club might want to see who becomes available last week of window…. unfortunately for fans that's when it mostly happens.

SWS, I've not seen any of the boy from Hungary but I'll take your word for it. I would like the lad from Motherwell personally only because I've seen him play. Hopefully if he is getting sold we beat the other lot for his signature.
We definitely need more competition in the forward line, Moore will most likely be gone come summer and olsen may or may not be also so that leaves Gassama, Antman and young Curtis. Also happy with our 3 signed so far.

EHL personally I blame you ?. you should be in there making sure that everyone at Rangers knows the fans need the signings to be made on 1st January otherwise there will be real problems. but also remind them that if we do that the fans will still be expecting more to be made; potentially one every 1 or 2 days ???.

We could have two players currently with a signed pre contract who don't join until June/ end of their clubs season. Therefore, they are signed, but not yet ours. Like a deposit. Put down, but not purchased.

we can't announce OOC players either I don think without permission of the club who owns them; or they can make the announcement.

Ed perhaps not a rule but most pre-contracts will have confidentiality clauses so making it public without the current clubs consent would be deemed a breach of contract. so it would normally be an agreed joint notification and tends to happen near the end of the season as well to prevent professional hostility.

Angus there is no rule stating we couldn't announce the OOC agreement, however there might be a gentlemans agreement between the clubs if the players club is in the hunt for trophies etc.

Redzic sound like a good signing, a goalscoring winger. I read today that Celtic have enquired about him so I just hope if we are genuinely interested we don't allow them to beat us to him. He's their type of player and it would be a massive PR boost for them if they got somebody we wanted.

OWS I read that he was a RW but he has played only twice there for his club this year and has played RM most often. I think the word is ASO would fill the RW position with Antman and we may revisit Reddit in summer.

If the window shut tomorrow with a few out the door it's been a great window, think a couple could come in either now or pre contract, would love the boy who plays in the forward line from Motherwell and the midfielder from Sunderland who would do a job for us but am happy with the way the club is heading, the owners have came here to be top dogs.

Angus as u say no rule re announcing an ooc deal, it's more a gentleman agreement, it's often done to protect a player from abuse from his own fans.

John my understanding was that they would put a confidentiality clause in the contract stating who could say what and when. I based this on my dealings with other pre-contract agreements although not football and did a quick check to see if the same would apply to football and a good few sites said it was a thing.
just checked on Connor Barron as an example and Rangers announced it in June after the season and if they had signed him much earlier why would they wait.
perhaps the gentleman's agreement but I thought it would be the same standard business practice I experienced as I am not familiar with football equivalents. I will word my responses more carefully in future though.
