On here we all knew joe rothwell and how good a midfielder he is of that i've no doubt ? He plays the exact same midfield position for us that calum mcgregor plays for them and here comes my question to one and all.
In everyone's honest opinion, who is the better/ more talented no.6 midfielder joe rothwell V calum mcgregor and what's the reasons to which one you rate the better ?.

I haven't seen enough of Rothwell to decide yet, looks good but surely he needs to do it consistently before you can say he is better.

It's extremely difficult to tell at the moment with Premier league experience I'd want to say rothwell and also back to back winning the championship twice isn't any whatsoever. But there captain has been excellent for them and at times a wish our captain would show the passion he did when lossing big games you can it means everything to him, both very good players but with everything that he has won with them and rothwell still has to be tested in our league I'd need to go with mcgregor for the time being.

Calum McGregor has won countless trophies, titles, trebles and played in the champions league for years. Rothwell has done neither. Early signs, Rothwell looks class but McGregor is the benchmark. let's wait and see. Let me guess you think Rothwell is the best?.

Rothwell has played against much better players than McGregor domestically and in far better leagues than McGregor domestically, so easy choice for me rothwell hands down as he's played well in those far better leagues,

Ive only seen a snapshot of Rothwell from the othr game so its very difficlut to say. None the less I will try my hardest and say Rothwell is levels above CM. I would say Rothwell is as good as Pirlo.

Btw I think Rothwell is a good player, be great to watch the old firm battles this year and see both players playing in each other position in the team 433 versus 433 games t will be entertaining stuff.
But u can't compare rothwell career too ok that of McGregor a sorry u just can't.
If they both compete for next 2 seasons and rothwell comes out in too then say he's the better player but I'm maybe correct in saying there's now 3/ 4 years between them aswell.
For me McGregor been the better player through their careers.
