Genuine thoughts as to whether you think Tav will still be here come the first game of the season? I know Martin has spoken about him in his interviews but he isn't going to say otherwise this soon into the job.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hopefully not if Kasanwirjo is signed he's my right back.

08 Jun 2025 16:15:01
I think of you listen to RMs interview on Tav, the situation is pretty clear.

08 Jun 2025 16:19:13
Mystar I think kasanwijro will become a fan favourite, also danilo if he's here and fit. I can see many being surprised with cortes. Putting my kneck out a bit with 2 of them, but I'm OK with that.

08 Jun 2025 16:21:55
Assuming Tav will be here and finish the contract.

08 Jun 2025 16:29:40
Boy blue really like Danilo myself mate.

08 Jun 2025 16:37:35
Tav is a strange one imo, there's been rumours in here for years now from people in the know of senior leadership group of players who have been to the board on a number of occasions about different managers. You don't get more senior than your captain of 10 years.

Imo he's been a good player for us who should've moved on a couple of years ago now.

New owners
New board members
New manager
New backroom team
Time for a new captain

And before people jump down my throat I don't hate the guy or anything like that I just think it's time to move on that's all.

At 35k a week and pending testimonial he's not leaving.

08 Jun 2025 16:48:40
If a bid comes in I think the board would accept it. He's been a great player for us at times. When he's going forward or lb then either the other defenders shuffle along to cover the gap or 1 of the deep lying midfielders cover the gap. Tavs been a Stewart for us and deserves a good send off so I hope he stays, maybe not as no1 possibly but still get playing time.

08 Jun 2025 16:48:49
I think Tav will be here but hopefully we have recruited well and he's a squad player. He's lost a yard of pace and doesn't have the engine to get up and down decent back up as a utility player.

08 Jun 2025 16:49:05
Tav has a huge part to play and will be captain if he plays says Martin.

08 Jun 2025 17:25:52
The best thing we can do is sign a right back whos good enough to play now anyway. If he goes - good. If he stays then he's got genuine competition.
Tav would have been replaced ages ago if Sterling wasn't like a wet roll-up.

08 Jun 2025 17:26:06
Why not mention tav is he wasn't going to play him. he could dodge the question altogether by saying wait until you see how i set up.

Tav will be here, i believe he will be captain and he will be playing whilst he is fit. IMO ofcourse.

08 Jun 2025 17:37:32
If Martin doesn't get the proper clear out, he'll be gone by Christmas.
These current players are winning nothing next season.

08 Jun 2025 17:44:59
Agree with John he's going nowhere. There's not a team out there that will pay him anywhere near what we do so why would he. John do you think the testimonial is a big part of why he's staying? Do they not just give the money to a chosen charity these days?

08 Jun 2025 17:52:51
There has been no discussion of Tav leaving within his camp. His intention is to stay, unless of course he's not in the new Gaffer's plans. At this stage he remains.

08 Jun 2025 18:28:47
Boy blue 100%. He wanted massive pay off last summer to go, in fairness he wants it for several charities.

08 Jun 2025 18:32:19
There should be no such thing as testimonials now; as far as i'm aware they were introduced years ago when there wasn't much money to provide a long-term player a financial send-off.

08 Jun 2025 18:40:25
Not sure many would go to a testimonial. Unless the current form has us flying and trophies in the bag. Could be toxic otherwise. Not deserved but it's likely. Not sure I'd go out my way to attend. Yes, a long serving player, but hardly any success and has been paid handsomely for 10 years.

08 Jun 2025 19:45:03
Ibrox apparently it's included in cccs if u have signed up for all home games.

08 Jun 2025 20:26:46
Tav going nowhere. High wages and at his age no takers. He's been a great servant. Never on the treatment table. We should treat him with respect and see our his contract, which he will. His appearances will reduce I'm sure when the appropriate addition arrives. Time waits for no man.

08 Jun 2025 21:41:21
Ibrox I feel similar, but if it's going to charity I think i would. Your right mate he's made millions of us.

09 Jun 2025 08:03:22
The one thing the club did right was to include an option to remove friendlies from CCCS. In this case I'll probably make a donation to the said charity and take Mrs IFM out for lunch/ dinner instead.
