Quality statement from big dessers

Time people realised were no longer the massive club or quality team people expect that we are.
We’re now a historic club, with a large fan base in a rubbish league with rubbish players.

Dessers needs to be replaced.
Regardless if he does miss goals, he needs to score goals. 1 goal in 8 games is not good enough.
If the league is so bad and he thinks he is good, then he should be scoring in every game.
This is the best season for many years Scottish football teams are doing well in Europe. Long may it continue and we get 12th place and two champions league places. ??.

Sounds to me he’s doubling down and if I’m honest he knows his time is up. He will be dropped for Danilo (and he knows it), then long term for Igamane. I think we will actively be trying to move him on in January for a player of better quality.
While I accept we’re not the size of club we once have been we have got to a European final recently and there is no way as fans we should accept being second or being average.

I agree with what dessers says. Every striker misses chances and they are more focus on dessers because as a football team we haven’t got many goals from elsewhere in the team. I also agree with the rubbish league it won’t happen but it needs to be more teams and less games against each other. Boring playing teams 4 times a season.
Karlo low budget in terms of what? As our wages that year certainly weren’t low budget that’s for sure.
Last we do need better than dessers as the main striker and am no sure if Danilo will fill that space when back 100% fit yes he done well against mwell creating space but he ain’t a hold the ball up striker either.

He is awful, currently he has 3, yes 3 league goals! That’s certainly NOT enough. Last year he had 12 or 13 league goals, again NOT good enough for the amount of minutes he gets and chances he squanders. But helluva nice guy ?
Folk need to start watching games with their eyes, stats can be skewed to suit any argument. He isn’t good enough for St Mirren or St Johnstone let alone Rangers, in fact those 2 teams already have better strikers.

The same people who greet about mediocrity are the same people who would pay £4 million for Shankland who has 2 of the worse stats in a lower European competition this season and *checks notes* has only scored 1 goal all season, has only scored against “Ross County” and has missed more chances than Dessers?
Who most of us know isn’t good enough and what his limitations are but is all that is fit enough to lead the line at Rangers.

Yeah but its not just about missed chances with Dessers, the two he missed on Thursday weren`t that bad, its the rest of his play. Its the falling down when he`s hardly touched and moaning at the ref, its his inability to hold the ball up and link play, its his lack of pace and its about the quality of chances he misses and that quite often he wastes them by not wanting to shoot without taking extra touches. He can score cracking goals with calm finishes like he did on Thursday night so its his decision making and ability to think quickly that is the problem. At his age he won`t change so we need somebody more reliable in front of goal.

The frustration for me is not his actual goal return, it's that he very rarely seems to score early.
He misses so many chances early on and that's when we need to be scoring as it changes the full dynamic of the games.
Kilmarnock and Aberdeen losses, plus Cup Semi and midweek European games being the perfect examples.
He takes his early chances in those games and it's a very different picture.

MRPH - Would you not take Shankland to further press our forwards as it is shown that we need depth too - but agreed would never pay 4Mill but for free or minimum outlay? - yes the boy is going through a barren spell but that does not make him a failure - we are not shopping in Harrods anymore and if Igmane takes time to settle as being a "project buy" -- I don't think we can rely on him as backup - I would say those who don't or didn't want Shankland are loving the fact he has not scored regularly so far - but I remember many of our front men having a torrid time too - McCoist to name but one and as it should be plain to see and probably more so come AGM time - we have no significant cash to spend so who the F should we be looking at to bolster our line - Jeez we took another so called average player from our league in Barron and he looks to fit in just fine - just a thought?.

He is a donkey and if that's his attitude then he can do one. At his age and stage of his career he should be grateful to play for a club of our size and to those who say we are not a massive club anymore. Give yer head a wobble, we are a enormous club and many players would love to play for us but not our league as it's pure jimmy white!

Dessers being called rubbish so mph throws up a couple of stats (again) of another striker who's scored one goal to make dessers look better ? that's a bit desperate. Your a stats man mph, so going back to last season and this season combined both have scored the exact same amount of goals. One striker cost 500,000 the other cost 5.5 million. Maybe try comparing him to best striker in the league, is that no what we strive for? Or do we only need him to be better than the striker that's team sit second bottom ?.

No. I wouldn’t waste the wages on Shankland, BlueFloyd.
Even on a free transfer in his current form, it’s a huge no.
Didn’t think he was worth the reported £4 million Hearts wanted for him.
And every other club in the world obviously agreed with me as Hearts received zero bids for him.
He couldn’t even displace Dykes from the Scotland team at his peak the last couple of seasons.
And at 30 is on the way down and has a terrible attitude as it looks like he has spat the dummy out.

Very interesting stats Bluey 1979 considering Kyogo is far speedier than Dessers yet the big man has scored more. We all know he's far from perfect - as he's readily admitted himself, but he's always available and can never be faulted for effort, I just wish I could say that about all the squad.
