Wow ok, let’s trash an up and coming 18 year old lad who the club know (and who will know himself) still has lots of development required and has only been playing regularly for the last few months due to the horrendous injury list we’ve had that left our only options in central defence being an up and coming youth player who no one intended to have this much playing time this season, and a defensive midfielder.
But you’ve decided that this prospect (which is still all he is at this point) is no where near good enough because he’s been thrown in against the likes of Liverpool, Ajax and Napoli and obviously looked a bit out of his depth.
It really is hilarious how our fans scream for the ‘youth to be given a chance’ and as soon as a few are if they don’t immediately perform week in week out like Messi or Ronaldo (or Maldini in this case) then they are deemed ‘nowhere near good enough’.
I suppose though you must be right and the scouting departments of premier league clubs who are constantly watching him are all wrong. Sometimes I despair ?.

He’s not good enough to lead a backline yes but he wasn’t terrible beside goldson and he is certainly going to become a top player. Lack of height not the best. If he keeps getting games for us here and there he will be a great player for us in a couple of years or make us some money.

There is no doubt King will be behind Goldson and Davies in the pecking order.
However with Hellanders contract expiring at the end of the season and Souttars injury record - he won't be 5th choice.
He's an incredibly talented footballer who will no doubt play plenty of minutes over the coming seasons.

That's such an enigma wrapped up in a paradox right there! Must be sold, but no one will buy them? How do you expect us to sell them then? Also, it's hardly obvious that they never intended to sign new deals, Goldson as a case in point shows that players can see what is on offer to them before making a decision!
I do agree that a new keeper is essential though, but we might just have one waiting for a chance in McCrorie.

Whilst letting contracts run down was poor planning in all 3 cases, I feel that Goldson at least earned a contract offer. Also, given his medical history we would have been unlikely to receive a large enough offer to tempt us to sell. Kent will need to show more to EITHER get a move or get a contract. We can see that Morelos was a difficult sell as he was injured - not to mention his other issues. Both will easily find a club. But not at a level they want to play if their current form is maintained. Their best option may well be to sign a contract at Ibrox, work on improving form and maybe then get the move they want.

i will say here again, play Barasic, in CL qualifiers and he will cost us big time, can't defend, can't stop crosses coming into the box, and is mentally weak, which Gerrard said as much in the past. been skinned a few times already in ALL pre-season friendlies.

Borna definitely looks like a confidence player to me, good engine and great delivery but asked to play in such an attacking role can get caught defensively, you know what ibrox is like guys, not everyone can handle the constant abuse when not playing well, mccoist used to get dogs abuse all game, he took it all, scores the winner with 5 mins to go and the stadium rings with 'super ally', I said previously that if Yilmaz comes in, it might signal the end of Borna but the youngster will likely get until Jan to bed in unless good bid for Borna, if we're left with 2 good attacking Lbs it's not a disaster.

Old ground but if people gona keep writing the same things the same replies come back, Borna defensively when ASKED to defend is good his positioning is good his timing of the tackle is good he’s a tad slow which is a negative avast elite players at times but I’m delighted with him as a rangers LB, people were giving him stick for lack of attacking intent last season as He sat back more! Now this pre season he’s charging on you can’t be in two places at once it’s that simple and you ain’t catching Son or Kula with a 10-20 yard start! Exact same as Tav on here over the years “can’t defend” when clearly the both can both involved in our record break season for conceding goals ?. All tht said if the new lad is an upgrade get him in but he has to be held to the same standard as Borna and Tav when he’s at there by line.

Although Alf doesn’t have the natural finishing abiloty of McCoist or Defoe, he gets himself in the positions to score goals and his record is almost 1 in 2 for us. Brings so much more to us than goals as well, i’d love to see him in a front two with a pacey striker.
