It's not yet. He has a £8.5m release clause, so £8.5m would guarantee it, but he's also Ooc at end of season, so we would be paying over the odds for a guy who played in Spanish 2nd tier last season and has only played 3 times in top flight.
Other wingers we have been linked with excite me more, if I'm honest, at that type of fee.
I'd rather pay less for Cherny and give him a £1m signing on fee to help with the drop in wages.

Seems a lot for a guy that's only played Division 2 football in Spain and isn't a full international. Doesn't seem to have the profile of some of the other left wingers we've been linked with either.
I suppose, between him and Yokota, it could open up some commercial opportunities in the Far East which might help us. No idea about the player though, so if it happens I hope he's worth it!

Celtic just signed a guy from the 2nd Spanish division for £9 million, & everyone seems to think it's brilliant from them but not us somehow. Considering the likes of Ajax are after him, we can't wait for him to be free, & miss out. People excited for a league 1 standard Durrberry at £10 million.
