Probably nothing likely clickbait, but Transferfeed linking Raskin to Man Utd, anybody heard anything or is it nonsense?

16 Jul 2026 16:30:28
Fork, I've seen it twice on Instagram today £20m apparently.

He does seem a Carrick type mf to me.

16 Jul 2026 16:44:25
Man United have been going for more value for money type signings this window rather than being held over a barrel for 100m fees.

Raskin wants to sign for any team in the top half of the EPL. He will be a bit part player, and will only do damage to his career. Very unwise move that would be. See, Villa is about to sign Gomes for Wolves for around 38m, step up from Raskin.

As much as I rate Nico Raskin very highly and the majority of us bears rate him highly, I think we're all in agreement that Nico will be sold and has probably played his last game for us in a Rangers jersey. 🤔 If there's any truth whatsoever that both Manchester United and Aston Villa are now also very interested in signing Raskin, that's stunning news, especially if Man United do want our Belgium midfielder. 😲
That would be some move for Raskin if he were to sign for Man United.

😲 Also Hull City and Real Betis, along with 2 Italian clubs and a German club, are all interested in signing Raskin. 🤔 We are going to lose him, so the more clubs interested in him is better for us regarding the fee we'll receive for him. 👍 I don't grudge Nico his big move and wish him all the very best for the future, whichever club he eventually signs for. 👍 🇬🇧 I also thank him for his time as a Rangers midfielder. 👏👏

16 Jul 2026 16:53:10
Noticed that. Also, claimed Nico might refuse to move there over concerns about playing time.

16 Jul 2026 17:01:38
In addition to the fee for him, it could certainly encourage other players with good potential to sign for us, knowing that although the league is mince, the club offers a pathway to the bigger leagues and teams.

Undoubtedly, the fact that he has carved out a place for himself in his national squad is a big part of that, especially a squad that has several top midfield players, is down to him.

But the profile he gained while playing for us, especially in European ties, will speak volumes.

16 Jul 2026 17:06:59
He's very unlikely to sign for Villa. I have connections at the highest level at Villa, and when I asked if it was likely, it was a no. Stranger things have happened, but don't see him going there.

16 Jul 2026 17:10:47
Ye moving to Man United and making yourself a multi millionaire would be a terrible move. 😂

16 Jul 2026 17:15:24
Don't see why he would have any playing time concerns. Sounds like a panicky thing one of our fans comes up with for no reason.

16 Jul 2026 18:14:24
I get that he's been good for Belgium, but why, for 3 years, has he given the ball away constantly for us? He's ok. I'm not convinced he's good enough for our first eleven and I'm completely convinced he's not good enough for a top English team.

I prefer Barron, who unfortunately also struggles with ball retention. At least he's 100% on the pitch and doesn't reserve the fight for off the ball incidents like Raskin tends to.

16 Jul 2026 18:32:35
Gooner, the fact you prefer Barron says everything Raskin is twice the player he is.

16 Jul 2026 18:34:42
Barron is a totally different player to Raskin.

16 Jul 2026 17:28:50
InDel, bad move for his career. You saying another club won't make him a millionaire?
You must be claiming he'll get a bigger salary at Manchester United than he would at other clubs, it doesn't happen like that.

16 Jul 2026 17:40:16
If Man United submit a bid that is accepted, there is no way Raskin is knocking them back.

16 Jul 2026 17:55:54
He hasn't gotten to where he is without believing in himself. I'm sure, if Man United want him, he'll go because he will back himself to play. The best players are usually quite confident, if some hadn't noticed that.

16 Jul 2026 19:32:50
Villa signing Gomes so it won't be there for Raskin. Villa have to be careful with their spending.

16 Jul 2026 19:53:51
Maybe Man United want 2 Belgium internationals to team up in the middle.

16 Jul 2026 20:11:48
The cash that gets flung about down in the EPL would make Raskin for 20m a very shrewd piece of business. Development players go for more and he's a starting Belgian international. It's a no risk signing for Man Utd.

16 Jul 2026 21:45:51
~35m they paid for Tielemans, and he's approaching the back end of his career. Man United going in for Raskin is big buying power. They pay over the odds for everyone. Serious windfall incoming if it's true.
