Ross McCausland is being reported in the Daily Record as a transfer target for Plymouth Argyle. Suggestion of a £1-1.5m fee proposed.

Personally I'd keep him. The lad is young, meets the homegrown criteria for Europe, and I think has some ability with room to develop. Appreciate many voices I hear, including on here, do not share that view.

Take the money and run.

08 Jul 2025 17:34:47
He's better moving on as he'll not get much game time, only a young player that will improve but he's not at our level.

08 Jul 2025 17:45:19
50 - 50 on the young lad. he bleeds blue, but is that enough? . maybe 1.5 mill with add ons or out on loan . game time may may him a better player . so much potential, but cerny blew him away.

08 Jul 2025 17:45:47
Take that money any day of the week.
It's time to see players leave. An awful lot of work to do on that front.

08 Jul 2025 17:50:13
Not even scratching the surface of even being hood enough as a backup player unfortunately.

08 Jul 2025 17:53:58
Take and goodbye, seriously not of the required ability to be a starter or 2nd choice.

For his own development he's best going if true.

08 Jul 2025 17:58:46
How were managing to get that money ill never know. Boy is rotten.

08 Jul 2025 18:00:51
Personally, I would thank him for his service and let him move on. I don't think he'll get much, if any, game time this season. Better for all if he moves on.

08 Jul 2025 18:03:52
I'd have to say take it! He's shown little to no improvement since he first broke into the senior team and he's given away too many fouls in dangerous areas due to him losing the ball then not being able to tackle.

08 Jul 2025 18:05:11
Yo jimbo. Nowhere near the standard required needs moved on asap. Gets a bit of an easy ride from some fans due to being from Ulster, staunch and used ti be in flute band.

08 Jul 2025 18:06:02
That's a good deal for him and what I'd like to see more. Young player breaks into fringes of team then if not quite good enough still get decent fee.

08 Jul 2025 18:09:23
Sadly but true Ross Mccausland will never be a regular first team player at Rangers as he isn't good enough and imo we should sell him.

08 Jul 2025 18:10:59
Argyle good club, great area and that level of fee mentioned aye get it done. see if they fancy beep beep Matondo as cover in a BOGOF type deal.

08 Jul 2025 18:15:55
I'd love to be wrong but can't see him making it with us, so I would take the money.

08 Jul 2025 18:18:47
He's the slowest winger I've seen. And constantly cuts back when one on one. Looked good in a dreadful team but hasn't kicked on unfortunately.

08 Jul 2025 18:19:37
Domestically, the cups are his limit in tricky away games in crappy stadiums, plastic pitches etc. resting first team players but that doesny help his career. so yes, maybe a move on situation at this point. shame really but we are now operating in a different business model which is good.

08 Jul 2025 18:20:43
1.5mill is too little for an international winger of his age. Wouldn't imagine he's on a huge wage either I'd keep him he's a good counter attacking player but won't suit some games.

08 Jul 2025 18:26:53
If anyone from Plymouth Argyle reads this, he is a fantastic young player, who came into the first team through necessity, has European and International experience and is willing to play out of position for the team where required, 1.5 mill is a steal.

08 Jul 2025 18:43:13
Ryan Hardie was successful at Plymouth so hopefully it works out for Ross McCausland if he does move to this club.

08 Jul 2025 18:46:32
I like mcausland always looking forward and not back like mpst scared wingers these days but think needs to move on for his own good needs games.

08 Jul 2025 18:46:33
The lad needs to move on for the sake of his career, good luck to him.

08 Jul 2025 18:47:39
Funny how people want to give bajrami time saying he's been shunted around but don't have same veiw when it comes to mcausland even though he has too lol even played at right back at one point.

08 Jul 2025 19:03:37
Would be a good move for him. It's not going to work at Rangers. He's came through the ranks and had a Rangers career guys like Lowry could only dream about. Good for him. He'll still make a good living from the game.

08 Jul 2025 19:21:34
Can't believe people want to keep this kid do they watch Rangers games with their eyes closed?

He played right back once forever honestly ?‍♂️.

08 Jul 2025 19:24:38
Foreverrangers, bajrami is absolutely planets ahead of ross mccausland in ability mate, that's it in a nutshell ?.

08 Jul 2025 19:29:27
We need to move McCausland on. Simply not good enough ?.

08 Jul 2025 19:40:38
£1.5m for mccausland we need to take it and run, fast. Before they realise they've bid for the wrong player or sumfin.

08 Jul 2025 19:52:54
Aye get rid of dessers and keep Ross mcausland Jesus wept?.

08 Jul 2025 20:26:45
I hope he does move on and kick on. He. Played freely initially and was full of confidence and wanted to tuck in or hit the bye line. Confidence is shot and become to safe in every phase of play and truck me our fans haven't helped him.

08 Jul 2025 20:48:06
How can the same folk who are so negative about dessers / hagi / Igamane want to keep mcausland
? guy is torture - 1.5 mill …. Bite there arm off up to the elbow!

08 Jul 2025 22:36:17
Its still same argument with najrami storm . and did i say i wanted to keep him no

Try read eh! Said needed toove on get games which he's not going to do at us because he's not good enough yet to start for us.
