Asgard expected in glasgow within 48 hours to complete his £5m transfer ftom Luton from DR and some posters on X.
03 Jul 2025 20:04:55
Where is negri9 when you need him to tell us about private flights from Luton ?.
03 Jul 2025 20:25:26
Don't know anything about him ows, but rang a few that do and they're telling me he'll be a good signing for Rangers, that's enough for me just now.
03 Jul 2025 20:54:28
I'm on the 8.50am Luton to Glasgow flight tomorrow, will report back, haha.
03 Jul 2025 22:34:51
We are paying very high fees for league one players hope it works out possible norwegian and nigerian internationals though 5million for a guy that's not done much while likes cerny 7million possibly
Hope fee not as high as reported.
03 Jul 2025 23:51:43
Forever, remember the like of Ivan Toney, Matt oriley, Jamie vardy and many others have come thru these leagues.
£5m isn't a lot for one of them, it seems a lot for Scottish football but isn't actually for most other leagues too teams.
03 Jul 2025 23:56:40
Young Norway International for 5m is really not a great deal that is pennies now.
04 Jul 2025 00:28:04
Interesting that purely being an international apparently holds weight, think how many donkeys there are with Scotland caps, I think if it is 5 mil it seems too much but happy to be proven wrong.
04 Jul 2025 00:31:37
Supposedly his current wage is 4k weekly and Cerny is 6/ 7 times that.
04 Jul 2025 00:44:45
My star it's 69,700,000.00 Krone approx so it does sound a lot sometimes. Turgeman will cost around 23m new Shekels but I think they will accept dollars.
04 Jul 2025 01:36:42
Th Norwegian boy isn't a league 1 player he played last season in the Championship scoring 12 and can't remember the assists stats between 5-10 I think it was.
Got a goal, assist and MOM on his debut for Norway away to Moldova.
Signed half way through season from EPL so they stats were only for half a season with a team that was struggling and they paid £3.5m for him.
As for the defender I do think £3m is far too much for what he has done in comparison and is very raw from the reports I've read.
He does have good strength, is tall and good in the air and likes to play out from the back with mixed results. Hopefully with a good level of coaching he can prove his value but it is high IMO based on what he has actually done so far.
Could have said the same for Igamane this time last year though so need to wait and see.
04 Jul 2025 02:21:33
Neilgd my thinking is if they represent other countries rather than england more chance of getting spotted
Think raskin he gets in belgian squad we are instantly saying 20million
It makes sense and englush player no matter how good his form will never be puvked for england playing in spl.
04 Jul 2025 03:39:29
Quality signing, we will pay more because his current club only bought him 6 months ago, 5 mill is steal for Asgaard, the lads a rising star, Finally a quality skillful young goal scoring CAM.
Star or anyone who hasn't seen this lads qualities yet.
Check out his 2025 highlights, very good player, glad he is coming to us, the fans will love this lad and what he will bring to our team this season.
one good season with us and i can see his value jump to the 10 - 15 mill range.
04 Jul 2025 03:51:44
Off topic but Farioli the coach i wnated us to get, is lining up as the top candidate for Porto so they will be a handful for future opponents with him at the helm, his tactics are superb.
04 Jul 2025 05:48:25
And can people also say how much nigerian guy was signed for by them.
And mystar only problem with your statement is
It is the spl and it is a high price for us to pay.
04 Jul 2025 05:49:30
Look i'm not saying they won't do well just that its a really risky strategy when we've went down english route previously and failed and we were not paying fees this high for pretty much untested players.
04 Jul 2025 07:40:38
I think the English leagues has been better to us than most
Peoples opinions are skewered as of late because of Davies/ Dowell/ Lawrence.
04 Jul 2025 07:36:17
So this is a Norwegian international scoring regularly and assisting in the championship last year which is at least on a par with the SPFL. but he isn't worth the reported £5M (dont think it will be that unless with all add ons etc) . Yet Raskin from SPFL is supposedly worth £20M with less goals and assists. I do hope people can see that the two sums don't add up really.
04 Jul 2025 08:39:58
Better return on EPL based players. No surprise at all that our best sale is from English based player and others too returned good profits!
Makes total sense!
Some are still stuck in the past, when money was a problem. Money is no longer an issue, in the sense that we can no longer be held to ransom or buckle because we are desperate!
04 Jul 2025 08:41:51
Correct Angus but that is forever for you. Forever he hadn't played one game in league one you do know that don't you?
04 Jul 2025 09:00:47
Money is still an issue until we get on a sound financial footing, sales, revenue increases, added sponsorship have not happened yet.
04 Jul 2025 09:13:08
My honest opinion for 5m I would rather see us sign Lennon Miller from motherwell. This lad looks good but is a risk as never played in our league. From what I've seen of him he looks a good player but I think the potential value of Miller is miles higher.
04 Jul 2025 10:29:07
I don't get why we haven't at least tried for lennon Miller
Absolute baller
Knows our league
Him n raskin would dominate our league
So why pay 5 mill to English lower league asgard ain't good
But we know exactly what yer getting with Miller
N he would come in n boss it from the get go
N not to Motherwell for a better player in my opinion
No saying.
04 Jul 2025 10:48:57
Am I not right in saying he went from wigan in league one to Luton in the the championship in January hence why some people are saying he's a league 1 player
He didn't come from the epl to Luton and from Google he played 23 games for wigan last season before his move.
He's played half a season in league 1 and half in the championship. I still think this could be a good signing regardless but just pointing out he hasn't played in the epl and he played half a season in league one.
04 Jul 2025 10:56:27
Why are we so hung up about values reported, half of them aren't factual anyway. you have fans on here saying Rangers stop messing about, pay what's needed and get him in. others now saying don't pay that amount and wonder why we end up with 4th or 5th choices. there are men in ibrox that run businesses way bigger and more successful, i will let them decide what's good value or not.
04 Jul 2025 11:35:32
Bluedreamer it's pretty easy because miller will not sign for Rangers ?.
04 Jul 2025 11:45:05
Miller is not a baller.
An average SPL midfielder at best and I would only be willing to pay about 2 million for him purely on his potential that is yet for me unrealised and properly tested. He couldn't get on our bench imo.
04 Jul 2025 12:47:27
How do you know we haven't tried to sign lennon Miller? Could it be that he wants to go elsewhere and play football.
04 Jul 2025 13:30:12
Luton is an appalling town so the boy surely must want away from it asap.
04 Jul 2025 14:20:26
Miller has no interest in joining Rangers apparently, why waste time in trying to sign someone who doesn't want to play for the club?
04 Jul 2025 15:24:32
Arcade penny, not to attack I mate I don't mean to but I worry on your football knowledge if that's your take on Lennon miller. He's absolutely top class. U will be one who didn't rate the McGinnis n Doigs n Scott brown at hibs type of guy a take it? I let is going to the top of the game matw.
04 Jul 2025 16:32:51
Stevie stop trying to put words in peoples mouths .
Miller has potential to be top class but he isn't there yet and may never get there because potential doesn't always work out.
04 Jul 2025 16:34:44
Angus your logic is way off mate they are both totally different players that play in totally different positions.
04 Jul 2025 17:08:37
What words storm?
I've asked a question are u one who didn't rate the lads as it seems a recurring problem that people don't rate these lads in Scotland then are proven wrong by their careers. It's a fair question to ask storm.
I think it's plain to see the guy is more than level headed. Having watched his dad on podcast he said Lennon had been chased since 14 and it's alway about his development, sounds to me like Bellingham and his parents being very intelligent on career and development before what may be attractive on the face of it
He's going to be a star, and see at end of day storm if he had reached his potential we could afford his fee or wages or offer him the platform he would need to show his talents.
04 Jul 2025 18:11:14
Its got nothing do that.
I just don't see the big fuss ?♂️
I get he's young and has potential like I said in my original post and of course he's Scottish.
But I just don't think he's aw that, yet!
I mean he's hardly Pirlo ( a real baller) ?.
04 Jul 2025 19:16:10
King They are both young and fledgling internationals. we need goals from our midfield and Nico doesn't score them. he didn't protect our back 4 particularly well last year either by the number of goals we lost if he is a true no6. yet 1 we want to buy is considered too expensive at £5M and we want £20M for Nico. I think the phrase we would use is Dembele Dollars or perhaps more UTD Engels Euros. Ignore the position and loomat the logic of one commanding a fee 4 times the other. there is no logic in that.
04 Jul 2025 20:31:19
Fifty6, not sure he played in EPL at all, was he not at wigan in league 1 and signed for Luton in xmas transfer window, think he only scored a couple in championship, I might be wrong on that though.
