RB speaking to Rangers about Rohl, surely this means he wants to go if that's the case let him go immediately.
11 Jun 2026 18:59:06
If Danny Rohl goes and I think it's highly likely due to a few on here mentioning that he misses his family etc and honestly I think he knows he's in over his head here and seen the reaction to our end of season and how easy we turn on managers blah blah blah I personally would be very happy if he went and earned us cash in the process.
All that being said, I keep seeing loads on here saying we need McInnes, so for those can I ask what has he done to deserve the Rangers job?
Jimmy white at the sheep and sacked, jimmy white at Killie and sacked and 1 good season at Hearts and now he's what we need? Please enlighten me as I'm so far away from seeing how he deserves even getting the offer. Not to mention a fair few have said oh SG shouldn't be back as he knocked us back twice now, didn't McInnes knock us back too?
11 Jun 2026 19:21:27
Don't think he was rubbish at Kille. Got them into Europe. Did he not leave rather than sacked?
11 Jun 2026 19:37:38
I think he got them into Europe then almost got them relegated, Reid, and sure he was sacked, but maybe he did walk away, but again though what has he done to deserve our job?
11 Jun 2026 19:45:22
Poor Jimmy White 😉, then again, some just act like a Shereen Nanjiani on here. 😇
11 Jun 2026 19:49:49
Finished above us in the league.
11 Jun 2026 20:06:22
Haha, Fork, no disrespect to Jimmy White!
Reid, I actually went and looked and right enough he left Killie in March and got the Hearts job in May, but looked at his overall win % and it's 46%.
11 Jun 2026 20:16:47
Think he's only a popular choice because of how he got on at Hearts. Only really find out if he ever gets the job. Just don't see a lot of suitors. The past two managerial searches haven't been great for candidates.

Another thing when it comes to Gerrard seen a comment saying he left us skint. He did spend a lot of money but he obviously had to as he built a squad from scratch. It is not his fault we failed to capitulate on the multitude of assets he left us. People can say he didn't want to sell them but that's up to strong leadership above to tell him we must sell to reinvest.
When he left we had Kent, Morelos, aribo, Bassey, Patterson, kamara and Barisic that all could have made tidy profit on. We were just poor at selling most of them.
The players we bought after him was the real problem imo and what financially crippled us under clement. Beales summer was mostly a disaster 15m on Dessers, Danilo and lammers only Dessers only really returning value for money and then the Ross Wilson disaster summer after selling Bassey absolute wastes of transfer fees and wages on 0 return from Matondo, Ben Davies and Yilmaz.
11 Jun 2026 18:40:54
Gerrad spent 45 million including 20 +
In his last season and handed out contracts at over 25k a week like it was going out of fashion, our financial troubles were mostly on him. Don't forget 1 in 9 and 1 cup final, not to mention losing to Hamilton Accies 3 times. Covid saved his job, they fell apart.
11 Jun 2026 19:21:14
Wishy, u say it's up to strong leadership above him to tell him no. That's what finally happened in the end, and he quit because of it, saying he wasn't backed. It took years to fix the finances.
11 Jun 2026 20:07:44
Took years because we absolutely failed in recruitment the following two seasons after he left. They did more damage than any single window Gerrard had.
Gerrard left a winning team and sellable assets.
We failed to build on that and recruit well with the one sale we did make in Bassey.
Gerrard spent a lot, but he won us the league so imo money well spent. Can't say the same since he left.
11 Jun 2026 20:28:30
Agree with most what u say, mate. Just not on being left in a good position financially. Most of the assets had lost their value as left out of contract, which was largely based on backing Gerrard's decision, and the wages of the rest were unsustainable and still having an effect till PC.
Maybe now we're financially sound we'll be better if he returns, but I wouldn't be keen on him coming back.
12 Jun 2026 08:43:41
Why do people say we are financially sound. We still have to live within our means. Rangers have to be sustainable, and currently we aren't. You don't suddenly become sustainable spending millions and millions hoping the manager stays.
Morelos and Kent were in their last year and weren't interested in extending, at least Morelos wasn't. Indeed, on the year Gio came in, Morelos was carrying an injury too.
It is 100% Gerrard's fault we didn't sell these assets.
11 Jun 2026 17:10:45
If he leaves he leaves!, I personally would rather have Gerrard than
