Well, it seems I have been the fly in the ointment all along. First game I haven't watched in years and we win, and with a bit of panache going by the limited highlights I watched. I will now stop watching completely lol.

Dare I say it, Gassama looked as if he's coming onto a game. Perhaps we do have a player in there after all?

Apathy beginning to lift and reveal the love!

Would be lovely to put Celtic out next.

Boiling hot here in Crete, nishe

16 Aug 2026 23:30:59
Bro, Gassama is no good at all.

He needs to be sold asap.

I'd happily move Aasgaard up 1 to Gassama's position, and rotate with Curtis, and sell Gassama.

Preferably get a left winger in and sell Gassama.

I'd happily pay the £4m we'll want for their man.

17 Aug 2026 00:13:21
Win 5-1, he played really well and you still criticise Stevie? Get a grip. Some forget what age some of these boys are. You don't make your debut for psg in a team with messi neymar and mbappe if your no good at all!

17 Aug 2026 00:44:10
I don't rate him at all. He was decent today, absolutely, but he'll now play crap for 5 games as that's what he does.

I've been one of the few speaking up for my hopes of McInnes doing well and believing in him, so don't tet attack me cause I say I don't like Gassama all cause we won.

Christ, if that's the case we're normally not be allowed to criticise a player, as we are expected to win every game. I couldn't care less if he made his debut with Maradona and Pele, I don't like him.

17 Aug 2026 01:02:45
Gassama in space 1 on 1 is brilliant. Tracking back is awful. Hated hearing Del say he was still looking at front players and not looking for an alternative to Fernandez.
His head is somewhere else.

17 Aug 2026 04:28:19
56, his end product for me is not.
Good either 1-1.

People seem
To like him cause he sips the shoulder twice then cuts inside and shoots, very rarely does he keep the ball on target, never mind score.

17 Aug 2026 05:53:18
He's 22. If he was Scottish most would have wood about him. Inconsistent, yes, does he frustrate me as well. Yes, but the lad clearly has a lot of talent. Loved him taking on shots yesterday, long may that type of form continue.

17 Aug 2026 07:03:07
He's never been wrong about a player, so if he says Gassama is rubbish he's rubbish.

He also thinks Lyall Cameron is the best midfielder at the club, so pinch of salt.

17 Aug 2026 07:23:01
Tracking back is hardly a winger's main function.

17 Aug 2026 07:26:47
The Gassama we saw yesterday is the same Gassama we saw at the start of last season. He needs to continue on like this, but there will be inconsistencies. When he's on it, he's unplayable. However, when he's off it (which he has been more often than not), then he is a man down. The boy can play, so fingers crossed!

17 Aug 2026 07:31:44
100% Marchdale.

Who's old enough to have seen the late, great D. Cooper play? Did he ever track back? In fact, I sat many times watching the great man have an absolute stinker, but on the flip side, I also witnessed many virtuoso performances from him. D Cooper, throughout the season, could be the most inconsistent player you could imagine.

17 Aug 2026 07:44:36
Gassama was not good at all. Not playing for the team. Penrice was flinging his arms up after he didn't pass the ball to him in acres of space. Happened twice. People overlook it cause he hit the bar with a shot he had no right in taking.

But he wanted to outdo the Serb boys goal. He's just greedy and selfish. I wouldn't have him in my team.

17 Aug 2026 07:51:50
I want my wingers to be attacking and others to do defending.

Stevie, I will take your opinion with a pinch of salt, as you never saw Chucki had a good game yesterday as 'you weren't watching him'.

So, I take it you don't like Gassama, but perhaps if fans supported him rather than got on his back, then he might not have one good game and five bad, as you say.

Wingers everywhere are inconsistent, and especially young wingers. If he starts to play regularly like he did yesterday, then we will have a very good player on our hands. Here is hoping he can manage it and he gets time.

17 Aug 2026 08:02:41
So, cause we don't like a player we criticise when he is playing well. What chance do the boys have. Sure criticise all you want if they aren't performing, but when they actually step up, how about a wee bit of support.

17 Aug 2026 08:07:47
Both Gassama and Yakota will be inconsistent and they'll frustrate us at times. However, DM will encourage them to take risks in the final 3rd - unlike Martin and Rohl who prioritised ball retention.

We have covetted Celtics wingers for years and even last year we raved about the Hearts wide players.

However, I can guarentee you that over the course of 90 minutes, these players lose the ball, make poor decisions, and frustrate full backs just as often as Gassama did.

What they do though, is cause a constant threat and create 5 or 6 big moments per game.

17 Aug 2026 08:08:27
Whether people think Gassama is going to be good for us going forward, shouldn't take away from the fact the boy played well yesterday. He's raw but also young. We've been crying out for creativity and he brought it yesterday.

17 Aug 2026 08:23:41
Angus, i take it anyway u want, but I don't rate Gassama as he's far too inconsistent and selfish and his end product is almost non existent.

Tav123, not once have I said Cameron's the best anything at the club.

Ye want to refresh my memory as to when I said that he's best mf at the club?

Said he offers more than Aasgaard, Chucky and Neil and I stand by that.

U can't just make things up that people said whenever u want.

17 Aug 2026 08:36:02
So Gassama is a bit like Mikey Moore then. 🎣😇😉

17 Aug 2026 08:42:41
I'm not Gassama's biggest fan but you have to be fair in your assessment, he was very good yesterday and that followed on from a decent performance against the Poles.

17 Aug 2026 08:47:14
Offers more of what, exactly?

17 Aug 2026 08:50:34
Fork. 😂😂😂

17 Aug 2026 08:52:50
Gassama looks a lot happier and more comfortable on the left side.
He had a good game yesterday.

17 Aug 2026 08:53:06
Forky! 🤣

17 Aug 2026 09:12:36
I thought Gassama was good yesterday but nothing more. In an ideal world for me, we sell Gassama and keep Curtis as back up or send Curtis on loan and have Gassama as back up, because I think both do a good job coming off the bench.

I think we need a nailed on starter on the LW, another option on the RW.

We need another CB as Fernandez isn't even out of first gear. Sometimes he looks like he's in park.

Overall, much better yesterday. I thought we looked comfortable in a 4141 (that's how it looked to me).

17 Aug 2026 08:59:01
Tav stop winding stevie up, his maw has an account and you'll get a belt on the lugs👀🤣

17 Aug 2026 09:21:24
Fork. 😂😂👍🏻

Tav, he offers more of a goal threat than any of them.
He's a better box to box mf than Chucky and Neil.

He needs to play to show what he did for Dundee can be replicated.

Asgard isn't very good either, Tav.

Played one no bad game in preseason, everyone was overhyping him til that came crashing back down.
Same will happen with Gassama.

Gassama was very
good when he came on against the Poles in the first leg and he played decent the other night and was good yesterday.

He may very well prove me wrong. Let's just wait and see.

From what I've seen of Gassama over the course of last season, I don't rate him, and neither did they label him in the last 2 games when he's all of a sudden a world beater.

Same happens every time we win or someone plays half decent: we become world beaters.

Let's just see how it goes with Gassama.

I'll be glad to be wrong if he helps us close the gap.

17 Aug 2026 09:23:48
Agree with your post, but what are your thoughts on Raskin? On his displays so far, I'd be dropping him. Watching him is like watching school boys tackling at times. Wrong side, jumping in. This is supposed to be a £15+ million pound player!!

17 Aug 2026 09:28:12
😂😂 Cheers, Fork.

He is tryna wind me up, isn't he? I thought that myself.

See, at the end of the day, some of the boys are correct. We win and he played well, so maybe get off his case. I take note. 👍🏻

Time will tell how he's going to turn out.

17 Aug 2026 09:34:05
Gassama had a good game. If he did that consistently, we wouldn't complain. Does he always make the right choice? No, he doesn't, but it's up to McInnes & staff to coach him to start doing that more often. Tbh I'm not fussed bout the tracking back, their job is to attack, it's the midfield/defences' job to defend.

I want our wibgers taking players on, hitting the lines & whipping in crosses. Curtis is a very capable lad to compete with either winger. My main concern is defence. Sooner we get a proper RB & experienced, organised CB, then it would improve everything drastically & boost the rest of the squad, taking a bit of the pressure off.

17 Aug 2026 09:40:08
Yes Sunshine, I had the privilege of watching the late, great Davie Cooper mate and I totally agree with you with the inconsistencies, but when he was on it Coop was unplayable and what a left winger he was. 👌 🇬🇧 Regarding Gassama, he had a really good game on his favoured left wing yesterday, and wingers are inconsistent, we all know that, but they're also match winners with moments of magic, and that's the best I've seen Gassama for months.

👌
There's no doubt he's talented and so is our Japanese right winger Daisuke Yokota who is also really good when he drifts in central. 👌 Very skillful and has a wand of a left peg. 👌 🇬🇧

17 Aug 2026 10:38:05
Fork, there will be a few in a bad mood in here if you talk about Mikey in that manner. 😬
Stevieg2, am with you mate, yeah he played well, but that one game isn't going to all of sudden change my feelings on him. Stevieg2's maw am sticking up for him, BTW, ma lugs are too big to get a belt.

17 Aug 2026 10:54:32
Stevie's back in the big boys bed bb4 haha back at the on/off missus for now hahaha.

17 Aug 2026 12:20:48
Good stevieg2, woman are a pain in the butt at times, but keep you grounded mate. Hope your good ma man.

17 Aug 2026 12:30:43
Left his Teddy and his comfy blanket at his ma's 👀😄. Kind of thought you'd had a tiff with her, who must be obeyed. gd u got it sorted, bud. 👍👍

17 Aug 2026 12:50:10
