The funny thing is that it's a spiral of doom and gloom by some, and then you have the opposite of that, smoke getting blown where it shouldn't when no one has seen a player play. That's on both sides of our 'support'.

It can be amusing to see a few overexcited posters, though are too many living in the world of Football Manager, with no interest or understanding of how complex international scouting and transfers can be with multiple financial, legal, and (often forgotten) personal factors involved. Just wishing and wanting doesn't deliver a player.

I actually don't care where they come from or what league they play in. As long as they are good enough and improve our squad then fine by me. Sometimes it's the ones you don't know that surprise you.

I've no idea who half these boys are, so can't and won't judge until I've watched them at Ibrox for a good few games.
We badly need boys in the door, so I'm backing the club to get these signings right.
McInnes done great last year, I never wanted him before, but he deserves his chance and has my full backing and time from me. watp, let's get behind team and signings. Can't wait to get back in my seat on Sunday.

Ehl, it's an online fans forum, the swings and roundabouts are part and parcel of being a club fan.
But, at 26, can you really call someone a gem?
Also, majority I've seen haven't written this Japanese lad off, maybe the odd couple, but we all here are Rangers fans, so it's a minority, yet you're speaking as if we all are saying the same thing.
Also, pretty sure you stated we all wanted Koppen gone when that wasn't the case.

A pal of mine says the same thing every time we sign a player, "We need better".
Like me, he was thoroughly spoilt by Laudrup, Gazza, Numan, Amo, De Boer, Tough, Butcher etc.
We don't operate in those markets now, so let's give players a chance before writing them off.

If the boy has the same energy and enthusiasm as the three Celtic Japanese players then he'll be a success at Rangers, but to be fair it was only when they signed the three at the one time (all internationals at that time) that it changed the atmosphere around their team.
They have signed a good few Asian players since then and only Yang has done anything, and it took him at least a season. Do we have that time to wait with any of our signings, especially a guy who is not a youngster.

I like the saying "he's not Rangers class" before anyone has seen them play. We don't have as much class as we used to. We're not an attractive signing anymore to proper quality players. We're literally getting priced out of most moves after £5million for mediocre players now. We all want better, but unfortunately we are where we are at the moment.

Hopefully the Japanese lad comes in and plays like a dream. It's not always the big buys and big names who have come and impressed at Ibrox, so hopefully many will be pleasantly surprised. 🙏👍
