How do people feel about us selling our 3 most sellable assets and who some would consider our 3 best players in the same window?
I'd be very cautious about this and would like to keep at least one of them for their quality and experience.
28 Jun 2026 12:24:37
I'd say sell them all, Gazza. We've been burned too many times holding out on this kind of thing, only to have a player run down their contract or have a poor season and lose value.
Get them gone and go again.
28 Jun 2026 12:40:39
Never thought I would say it but we need to keep Chermiti another season. Fernandez, I'm not too fussed about. Slows our play down far too much when he's on the ball. Lack of urgency to get back into position when he loses the ball high up the park. Raskin's time to move on.
28 Jun 2026 12:45:37
We've won nothing with them, I have no concerns with selling them and putting the money into players who can win the league.
28 Jun 2026 12:45:48
That's true. We've had Morelos, Kent and others we lost out on good fees.
I'd like to keep at least Chermiti for a further season though. I think he'll only continue to get better.
28 Jun 2026 12:50:04
Raskin and Fernandez, yes, could be replaced. Chermiti, no, couldn't be replaced, we have a league to win.
28 Jun 2026 12:50:31
Chermiti, sell.
Fernandez, sell.
Barron, keep.
28 Jun 2026 12:55:34
Raskin is not one of our best players, he has the ability but rarely shows it for us & when he does it's for 20 or 30 minutes top. So I'd move him on.
Fernandez was our best player in defence, did he make mistakes? Yes, but he's pretty inexperienced despite his age, even the best players in the world make mistakes. I worry about finding a replacement & the players we are linked with for that position & he was a danger at set pieces, something we've been missing for a while.
Chermiti is the real dilemma as he cost £10 million & everyone said he wasn't worth that money as it was a huge risk, so if a serious offer comes in I'd say we'd need to seriously consider it as an injury could destroy him & his value. He'll be hard to replace imo too & Shankland has yet to prove he can handle it at Rangers & is 30, so will likely need replacing in 2 seasons, Miovski isn't going to be the answer & Naderi imo will be great but will be more of a Muller I think.
End of the day, the problem is replacing them & they aren't easily replaced like some think or we'd be challenging the league constantly. We've never replaced Aribo & Fernandez is the closest thing to Bassey, never replaced Goldson or Balogan, even Hagi.
Then say we get £60 to 70 million for all of them in total, do we have a higher tier of players scouted we could spend extra on who'll have the same type of sell on value? I don't think so, most players we are linked with don't fill me with confidence so far. I'm not paid to make the decisions but I would keep one & that would be Chermiti as I've not seen us linked with a striker & think he, with Shankland or Naderi, would be deadly.

Same Ehl but sell all 3.
28 Jun 2026 13:02:23
All only showed in flashes what they could do. Yes, they might go on to good things, but we can hardly say they would be a big miss based on performances up till now.
28 Jun 2026 13:10:32
We only lost 1 goal less than Hibs and 7 more than Motherwell. No one from the back line, including Fernandes, is a must keep (except Rommens). He has potential and some good attributes but far too casual for my liking, him and Djiga as a pairing lost a barrowload of goals in the last quarter of the season. If a big offer does come in I would take it. Chermiti improved as the season wore on but too ineffectual in far too many games and I'd snap up anything more than what we paid for him.
Another option could be to consider selling Naderi, I don't see McInnes fancying him and he's not really looked like setting the heather on fire, he's looked like what he was, a German lower league player. Sell him and maybe even Miovski too and buy a new striker with the money brought in to complement Shankland and Chermiti.

Apologies for the teams mix up, guys, I blindly followed my son's WhatsApp without checking.
28 Jun 2026 13:26:21
Chermiti - keep
Fernandez - sell
Raskin - sell
Barron - keep
Aaasguard - keep
Guasama - sell
Antman - keep
Danilo - sell/move on
Miovski - keep
Butland - sell
I know it's more than 3.

I'd sell anyone we could get the price we want for them that needs to be how we operate from now, buy low, sell big and reinvest. If one was to be kept for this season it would be Fernandez for me.
28 Jun 2026 13:42:48
If we go by values on here we could raise around £60million if we sell the three of them. None of them are irreplaceable, but the question would be, what is the standard of who we bring in. While the likes of Graham and Victory sound like good signings to develop, we would need at two good, solid, experienced centre halves if Fernandez goes.
Raskin could be replaced by Ferguson if he'll come, or even Watt and just in a double deal. We already have Shankland in up top, but we want another top striker if Chermiti goes. I'm sure there are others I've never heard of, but we would need quality.
28 Jun 2026 13:51:47
EHL
? ?
I'd keep Barron - keep Chermiti if we can unless we're getting another top striker in.
16 goal in second half of the season. I'm hoping to see a lot more from him this coming season and Shankland forming a partnership with him.
28 Jun 2026 13:57:32
We already need 6/7 starters. I would be cautious about having to sign a full new 11 of starters.
Chermiti I would be keeping unless a crazy figure came in. Same goes for Manny. We need some sort of continuity.
Raskin on a slightly different boat, he's been here longer, will likely want to move on, and he's got 2 year left, so now is the best time to maximise his value.
Raskin, Dio, Gassama, Antman and Butland I'd sell. I'd be looking to keep everyone else unless they aren't in plans ie Danilo/Bajrami/Cifuentes.
28 Jun 2026 13:58:35
I'd be keeping Naderi Jackboy, if we play 2 up top, his running is perfect for him being the second striker and helping the midfielders. You could see how much we missed him and Rommens post split.
28 Jun 2026 14:02:55
How far Belgium and Norway progress might push things in our favour, Raskin, who it would seem, has interest, and Thelo, who still has most of his contract to see out. I like Fernandez, but if we are near Bassey money, then it's a no brainer to sell. Add Diamonde, Bajrami, and that should set us up to land a few decent targets.
28 Jun 2026 14:05:44
We have spent the last how many years trying to buy players who can win the league without success, so those type of players obviously can't be bought easily off the peg. So what makes people think that the £60M will be spent on players who are able to do that? I would keep those who want to stay, as they have a season of experience of the demands of the club.
Sell those like Raskin who want to go, and buy guys in to both replace him and the next who will replace Chermiti and Fernandez when they go.
28 Jun 2026 14:09:23
100% Blue89. Naderi, I think, could be a great player for us, and I don't throw comments about like that normally.
28 Jun 2026 14:12:16
Jackieboy, Naderi played what, 11 games for us, mainly off the bench & was injured. It's a bit hard to set the heather on fire. German lower league is probably better than our league. Didn't Braga & a bunch of Hearts players come from 2nd division in other countries?
28 Jun 2026 14:18:22
Although current squad were unsuccessful, we do need to maintain some continuity, and merged with more suited domestic players, some may kick on further.
28 Jun 2026 14:32:47
Those that want to leave may be sold, I would think. Raskin a cert, then it depends on what Chermiti, Fernandez and possibly Diomande want to do, but a kitty that size would give the manager a boost.
28 Jun 2026 15:04:48
Personally, wouldn't b against anyone leaving if their heads were elsewhere and we can get what we want in fees.
Whoever's here when the new season kicks off needs to be 100% invested in what we're about.
Sure, the manager won't accept anything less.
