I get that folk say the 3 draws of late has killed our season but did we really expect to win every game this season since Rohl took over? He had one draw and one loss until recently which is a miracle compared to the results we were getting under Martin. This was going to be a few windows rebuild, not immediately. The fact we're still in the hunt is a great achievement considering we all thought it was over in October. To say we shouldn't have dropped points against this one and that one is a bit unfair, every team drops points and could easily say they should have won those games.
we've only been beaten twice this season and both times by hearts. And what Celtic done to us yesterday was exactly what we done to them at parkhead, except we ended up winning.
Let's not get too downhearted, we're still in it. Lots still to play for and I'd have bitten your hand off in October to be in this position now.

Sorry, but it kills me every time people will say there will be twists and turns in this title race when they all seem to just happen to us.
Motherwell, Hibs yesterday.
We seem to be the ones always dropping points and then making that excuse, ah well they still have to play Motherwell. Sorry, but title winners don't rely on others; they make it happen by doing their own job.
Celtic beat Aberdeen and then we will be behind them, having to go to Tynecastle, Celtic Park, and possibly another difficult away after the split.
And, honestly, I'm not confident this team has the mental toughness to win the rest of our games up to the split. Anyway, away against St Mirren and Falkirk will also be tough.

AlloaGer, I don't have an issue dropping points at Easter Road or Fir Park, and even yesterday, but it's the manner in which we are dropping points, and a lot of the blame has to go to our 2 CB's constantly posted missing when balls are played into the box.
Souttar is quite rightly getting it, but Fernandez isn't any better, and, fingers crossed, that is an area we are looking to make a priority. We need 2 commanding ones, and one who can organise, because the 2 aren't the answer going forward.
02 Mar 2026 18:06:07
Only happening to us? Celtic have taken a point out of six in the last two league games. Maybe we've only had two, but that shows it's not only us.
02 Mar 2026 18:24:52
Agree, G4, and yes, we were off in the 2nd half and got overrun in midfield, but in a run-in you need games where your defenders can just go with the runners and defend cross balls, meat-and-drink stuff.
Daizen Maeda getting free headers against two giants should not happen!
It's basic things like this that are costing us.

Bang on forever.
I'm sick of hearing it. People are just trying to make themselves feel better by saying it.
We've made a Noel Hunt of it, simple as that.
02 Mar 2026 18:36:14
Forever, it's the same crap posted year on year, twists and turns and all that jazzz. We have dropped 8 points in the last 6 games, but people using two games for Celtic to make it look better. If a worse, bang-average side than us wins during the week, they go above us. ?♂️ Work that one out.
02 Mar 2026 18:38:03
Never expected to be back challenging, but it's the manner of the points dropped now we're back in a position. Throwing away a lead against 10-man, having to come from behind against the worst team, and then that 2nd half against Celtic is gut-wrenching.
02 Mar 2026 18:43:18
Celtic, Hearts and Motherwell will be looking forward to playing us. We have no fear factor just now.
Hopefully Rohl learns from this, and we see significant improvements next season.
If we haven't had the avocado loving flop in charge, we wouldn't be worrying too much about this drastic downturn in form. In saying that, if Celtic hadn't had the French serenader, we wouldn't be close.
02 Mar 2026 18:48:03
I don't think, on our current form, we can go on to win the league this year, but I am certainly not giving up on it.
Everyone saying there won't be twists or turns hasn't been watching the league this year. There isn't much between the top 4 teams, imo. Also, using that we've blown it because we now need other teams to do us a favour is premature.
Pretty sure, helicopter Sunday season, we were 7 behind with 5 games to go or something and needed the mighty Motherwell to take something
from Celtic on the last day of the season, so until it's mathematically impossible I won't be giving it up.
02 Mar 2026 19:14:30
It's because Rangers, Celtic and Hearts will drop points, hence the twists and turns.
02 Mar 2026 19:23:44
It's the fact that people are expecting Hearts to drop 7 more points than us from the 27 left to win the league.
Or that Celtic will also drop fewer points than us.
Or that Motherwell will take points off everyone, which doesn't help us unless we are the only team that beats them?
We need 9 wins to just be in with a shout.
9 wins will prove we are title contenders.
9 wins will show the others that they will need to fight for this title.
02 Mar 2026 19:50:29
It's the same story as us getting level when Big Phil took over, then crumbling. Didn't quite do that under Beale, but played very well in his first half season, then blew up. Basically, when we get in with a shout, we bottle it.
02 Mar 2026 20:15:48
Rohl has done well to get us in position to challenge, but has to take responsibility for recent dropped points, with wrong team selection, tactics, substitutions.
He has had enough time to sort out defence, plus the opportunity was there to bring someone in in Jan but he decided Fernandez, Soutar, Djiga were sufficient, when most of us had reservations about them.
We spent money in Jan, but only lb Rommens was brought in for defence. This is what could cost us a chance of winning anything this season. The cost of Olsen alone would have covered a decent CB.
02 Mar 2026 20:17:14
There will absolutely be twists and turns and dropped points by all top 4 teams in the last 9 games or so before this league title is decided, and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves on. ?
02 Mar 2026 20:41:07
That's a good post, Jasp.
02 Mar 2026 20:50:29
Good post, Alloa. Totally agree, anything can still happen this year. With only 6 points in it, the league is nowhere near done. As long as the team have a chance, I will never give up on them.
I am also really enjoying it. Every game is an emotional rollercoaster, and that's what being a fan is about imo.
02 Mar 2026 21:09:53
Coops, and that lies the problem. We can't afford to drop any more points.
Jasp, good post.
Mph, good post, but it's lost on some.
02 Mar 2026 22:04:38
I tend to agree with MPH. With the dropped points lately, I think we will need 9 wins to win the league. I'm sure the others will drop some points, but we are so far behind now. That's what we need.
03 Mar 2026 10:08:21
Jasp, how do you know he didn't want to improve the defence? Maybe the board told him you have a choice how to spend money, and, since you have these defenders on board and we can't get rid of them, maybe he decided it was the best option to spend on a left back.
