On the point of Ally going on about Chermiti. How long was Ally at Ibrox before he found his feet, scored goals and was accepted by the Rangers support?
Love the guy to bits, but as someone said, he seems to be forgetting his bad old days playing for Rangers.

Actually think his all round play is improving, granted he needs to be better positionally, and hitting the net more. But for me, definite signs of improvement, and hopeful he can be a real asset.

Think the big man definitely needs someone to come in and share the load. Miovski is not suited to how we play so right now Chermiti has to play every minute of any meaningful game and the longer he goes with out scoring the more fans will start to turn on him. Bring someone in and give him time to develop which he will.

That's just not true yes he had bad days but super ally is a legend the greats goalscorer Rangers ever had IMO and our record scorer.
Mystar why do you say people are believing him as a lot of people had those thoughts about Chermiti before Thursday so that's just not true. I think boy is improving but long wait to go for him.

You are correct white horse, I was at Ibrox the night he missed a sitter and virtually the whole stadium burst into Ally Ally get to F"*k. Having been through that he's now trying to pass on his experience to Chermiti. I hope Chermiti continues to improve as he has improved lately, just concerned about the lack of goals from our front 3 i'm the league.
I thought his double against Celtic would have spurred hom on but here's hoping he hits a scoring streak soon.

By the age of 19, ally had already scored 22 goals in 57 games for St Johnstone.
Chermiti hasn't scored that in his career yet.
And when Ally did start scoring, ne never stopped.
Chermiti will be lucky if he scores 50 Rangers goals in his career with us.

my issue isn't what Ally says as I think he can be fairly balanced and wants the best, even if he does forget how he was treated at the start and that he missed a bucket load throughout his career. my issue is that what he says is repeated by fans even on here and makes it more difficult for the player.
McCoist's emotional style makes it sound like every miss is the worst in the world. If I had a pound for every easy chance I watched him miss I would be retired. he wouldn't get that understanding today when we aren't winning titles.

Cvb11, of course Ally is a legend and done amazing for us and we done amazing for him let's not forget. All the guys are saying which ally do want in the team the one at the start of his career or the one when he's at his peak.
All they saying is give the big guy time and personally he will come good. You also have to remember the quality of player ally played with compared to now. Also look at the formation because ally couldn't have done it up there on his own.

I'm not a fan of McCoist the pundit but there is no comparison with his start and Chermitis start. I was also at the game against Dundee where the fans chanted for him to get to eff, it wasn't for just one miss by the way, however he scored goals right from the start, although probably not as many as he should have. What I will say about Thursday is that Chermiti got one chance and at least forced the keeper into a save when Miovski got his chance he dithered and didn't even get a shot away, this was the one McCoist was really critical of and rightly so.
If Miovski isn't going to score his chances then he is no use as he contributes nothing to the build up play.

I don't think Ally forgets. Remember him getting peltets at a cup loss to Dundee when he first arrived, won the fans over with the hat trick against Celtic. Scored after 27 secs in his first old firm. He was nicked named the judge when Souness dropped him for Mo. As a famous man said Character.

Storm, if you don't believe that players read social media and poor fan opinion on that doesn't affect performance then fine. another story today about a player (female) being affected by online abuse. it is a fine line. not saying McCoist said anything unfair but picking out faults can be enough for the unhinged to target a player.

Ally McCoist, our greatest ever goalscorer, goals at international level, golden boot winner, ex manager and also huge fan of our club (so pretty well placed to pass comment) getting it tight from the in-denial Chermiti happy clappers because he cares that much about us getting back to the top that he says what he thinks, that he knows like anyone else with eyes that Chermiti isn't good enough to be our main striker- and never mind 50 goals, he won't get 20 in his Rangers career.
