Angus to attempt to answer your question.
In business at all levels the decisions made by management and the performance of those hired by management are questioned continuously and monitored.
Take red Bull formula 1 for example.
Members of that team and group were questioning eachother in a much more public way than an anonymous opinion forum.
I have not called into question any decisions made by the group nor the executive.
I have formulated an opinion of the recent performance and actions of the first team head coach.
Please let's not confuse this further.
I fully endorse and back the decisions made by the executive.
As a fan I can surely post an opinion based on performance of individuals without my character being called into question?

Best ignore people that question you on here mate. Just don't read what they post.

Some need to remember it's a few games into a brand new way of playing the game, plus the fact we also need quality in a few positions, personally I'm judging nothing for a while yet but want to see improvements in the way we play the game.

Asathor, fantastic response ?.
05 Aug 2025 13:01:34
I agree mystar ?.
05 Aug 2025 13:04:32
Asa I appreciate your response as I'm happy to discuss and learn more about the business policies around Rangers. as I say I mean no malice by it and not calling your character into question but have an inquisitive mind and was interested in why someone in the inner circle would question this so quickly.
I am also aware of how business works and that decisions are often questioned and have written procedures in the past for companies.
However my main point was that I found it odd that after only 3 games you were questioning some of the fundamentals of the process, i. e. Martin and the system the club must have agreed or at least thought was similar to the one they were looking to implement. In the same way as I question every fan for doing it but they are questioning from a position of ignorance. Now I may be giving you the benefit of knowing more about that process so if I am wrong I apologise.
so I will stop the chat as I was in no way meaning to offend and apologise if that was the result. Please feel free to respond and please continue to voice any opinion you wish on the forum (btw you don't need my consent ?) and I will desist from asking this question set again.
05 Aug 2025 13:22:28
Hahaha right my star what's going on here? That's the last handful of posts you've done i'm completely in agreement with you.
05 Aug 2025 13:24:03
Spot on with everything you say, Asathor.
I work for a Utility company and I have objectives and a development plan I get assessed on monthly.
I'm pretty sure whether Martin is just in the door or not, he will have milestones to achieve.
Guaranteeing European football is one
Trying to get CL football will be another.
Being competitive in the league will be another.
And so on.
05 Aug 2025 13:40:20
Asa very good response.
05 Aug 2025 13:42:18
Your opinion your entitled to it Asa, post what you want bud??.
05 Aug 2025 13:44:22
Worst thing about a keyboard Asathor is something read or typed can be seem more confrontational than it is. None of my replies are ever confrontational but could sometimes be taken that way apologies to anyone if they are.
But in rebuttal to your opinion I think you may have gone early ?.
I can't stomach another change of management.
05 Aug 2025 14:02:41
People are scared to ask questions of certain posters, I don't believe you should change your inquisitive posts Angus.
05 Aug 2025 14:05:01
Angus you are not wrong and systems and processes do take time to implement and I am no way saying that it does not.
The club wish to move in a direction that the principles remain the same regardless of who is head coach.
That being possession with a strong defensive base with a fluid dynamic attack.
The principles are there it is now up to the manager to show he can implement this successfully.
Now i have full support in the manager and his attempts but I have not been pleased with what i have witnessed so far in terms of the amount of chances gifted to opponents.
Now there is always risk as there is when Freyr employs a similar method at Brann.
For example we had around 67% possession and over 300 passes more than Salzburg but only managed a draw.
Quality of opposition will determine the outcome but we need to attempt to stop providing opportunities to our opponents on a scale I have never seen.
05 Aug 2025 14:23:22
Will add to your post there Asa, that we also need to be creating chances as we are really lacking there too.
Post whatever you want bud, after all it's a forum for that very matter. Great thing about opinions is we all have them.
05 Aug 2025 14:33:12
Strong defensive base with a fluid dynamic attack I would take that asathor we certainly haven't seen any of that so far. Especially the defensive side.
We need a LCB that's a given as souttar terrible there.
Martin does need time but he needs to stop playing players out of position it's that fecking simple.
05 Aug 2025 14:34:35
17 shots on target mwell had at weekend if we keep giving teams that amount of chances we are going to get a doing.
This game tonight will not be easy as they score goals and imo better than pano especially in front of goal.
05 Aug 2025 14:37:40
Totally agree with what you have said Asa whether involved at some level at the club or not there's nothing wrong in giving an early assessment of what we've seen and performances so far has been a disaster conceding 51 shots in 3 games. We were incredibly lucky against Pana and again just compare with how Motherwells adapted at fraction of price. It's not like we were playing well but just missing final touches that you can see coming with time. We were completely played off the park.
05 Aug 2025 14:38:14
Providing endless opportunities for opposition plus not creating any real chances for ourselves, kinda points to a major problem for me. but, but, but, I'm sure the computer would say we had x % of pass completion and x%? of possession, so no worries ??????.
05 Aug 2025 14:51:47
Thanks for your response Asa. I will leave our discussion at that although I am a little disapointed in that as they are always good and I find them informative, entertaining and a little different. I will approach these in a different way in future.
for the others you may not be aware of it but when someone questions a select list of posters on here the wagons are circled and the questioner is made to feel uneasy. Asa and others are big lads and able to defend themselves as he has proven. Unfortunately (mainly due to my approach) the discussions are difficult to continue due to that closing of ranks, which I find sad as the actual discussion here would have been good to have.
at no point did I say he wasn't allowed an opinion but I realise as I say I approached the discussion wrongly.
I will continue to post as I always have with my sometimes different take but will make sure I approach it differently as I see that was my error.
05 Aug 2025 15:00:48
5 shots on target storm.
05 Aug 2025 15:09:54
Angus, I really enjoy your posts the overwhelming majority of the time. I consider you to be a very refreshing poster with a balanced view and I think the way that you and Asathor have debated in this thread is commendable.
05 Aug 2025 15:31:45
Nothing wrong, Angus, u don't change at all bud, question away. We all have thoughts n opinions to air, it's what makes this place fun, weird, informative and argumentative.
05 Aug 2025 16:42:02
Angus so u r now saying we can't like a post, also u don't complain when I/ we like many of your posts,
At no time in the thread do I see people knocking your post.
Keep up the posts.
05 Aug 2025 17:02:14
Angus I agree re the circling of the wagons. I asked a question on a search engine and I haven't posted the information as I know the grief I would get if I did. Enough going on without having to deal with that as well. Keep posting whatever you feel.
