Think he more means shankland has scored lots of goals in this league so on a free may be able to grab us a goal in the tougher games as opposed to meaning he's won lots of league titles before.
I don't even know if it's a real option or not but i'm all for de jong. Think that would be a great signing if any of it is true at all.

Shankland on a free, cheap wages as third choice is a no trainer for me. Still can't believe we not signed him.

Can see us bringing three strikers in and three out, Shankland would be ideal financially and would get us goals as a no9 even if third pick when needed, similar to Billy Dodds did for us, can understand some not being keen as our main man but a don't think anyone is pushing him for that in our support.

My point about Shankland who I actually believe is a decent player is that I'd rather have him coming on later in a game than a younger guy from abroad who finds playing against a tight defence totally alien.

Storm, Shankland scored 59 goals in two seasons for hearts, before last season.
Season 22/ 23 28 goals
Season 23/ 24 31 goals.

Does anyone think Shanklnad would really be happy to come to us as a back up striekr at his age? I just can't see it and if so the money would need to be right so is he then such a bargain to sit as 3rd choice.

1 good season storm ? i don't want shankland i was merely pointing out what the original poster meant but one good season, he's been at hearts 3 seasons and scored 68 goals and 20 assists or 88 g/ a in 3 seasons. He had a poor season last season and still got 9 goals and 10 assists in a poor hearts team.
Think saying he's had one good season is quite wide of the mark.
