Shankland of late has been playing a lot deeper. Does he fit the profile for RM? I think he does. I also think he will be a bench warmer. Does he want that status?

As much as I think selling dessers now while his stock as high as it will be is a good move, Lawrence shankland isn't who I want as our main striker if he's being brought in as back up then fine but a mobile fast aggressive striker is one of our top priorities imo.

Shankland has and always will be a no brainer even more so as a free transfer. It's most likely not happening as he's away down south and even links to Saudi now apparently. I would still want turgeman though.

Just because i thonk ot should be a no brainer for club doesn't mean i think they will do it.

Take Shankland in a heartbeat, proven goalscorer domestically capt of his club should be starting more international games than he does too but on a free he should be a priority. Experience, home quota great for youngsters another capt in tye squad and will cost nothing ticks all boxes for me esp with uncertainty over Dessers possibly going. If we keep Dessers get Shankland and get either the young croatian or Israeli lad then that would do me. Dessers, Shankland, igamane and new youngster and play 2 up front.

I would want any player we sign to be fighting for a first team place and not singing as back up. That is for anyone we get otherwise we have a first team who are good but a squad who are lacking when anyone gets injured. That isn't to say you don't sign a player to be the starter but everyone else needs to be a similar level or a young lad who we want to develop. that young lad can move across the categories fairly quickly though.

I think shankland on a free transfer plus cheap wages and as a squad player is a no brainer he will score goals and a good option off the bench.
