Just looking to see peoples thoughts on us taking Morelos back obviously struggling with strikers would use want/ accept him back? Personally a bit unsure with his attitude and fitness but think he’s better than what we have.

Waning or needing him back might not be the 1st question. Can we really afford to absorb his wages in that area of the park without off loading first?

Personally really rated him when he was on it, which wasn’t often enough. I think that chapter has closed.

2.) 08 Dec 2023 08:47:56
It’s a hard no for me. Although he’s our top European scorer, I never felt he was clinical enough or a particularly good striker of the ball. Add to that his substandard professionalism and bad attitude - he can jog on (obviously at his usual slow pace) .

3.) 08 Dec 2023 09:04:19
1872 ; he wasn’t great off the ball? that was his strength he bullied defences he was great holding the ball up bringing players up the park he won fouls in the final third, but I think his boat has sailed when he was at his best he was brilliant for us but after he got injured and his long lay off he was never the same player for us, I was one of his biggest fans but I’ve seen to many players who have came back but hasn’t worked so it’s a no from me but it’s down to the manager.

4.) 08 Dec 2023 09:35:42
Absolutely not.

5.) 08 Dec 2023 09:48:25
He didn’t want to stay and left on a free, meaning we got nothing ~ needless to say he had no loyalty then. Plus he just got relegated in Brazil. A definite no from me.

6.) 08 Dec 2023 10:05:26
He'd be a better option than Lammers.

7.) 08 Dec 2023 10:05:32
Twacoos, where did I say he wasn’t good off the ball?

8.) 08 Dec 2023 10:10:29
It's a big NO from me.

9.) 08 Dec 2023 10:46:58
Apart from anything else I’m pretty sure he’s been injured for a large period of the last 18 months.

10.) 08 Dec 2023 10:49:51
Without a shadow of a doubt I'd take Alfredo back, an absolute nightmare for defenders on his day, anyone to suggest otherwise is blind or a liar, had his flaws yes but had a lot of stuff most other players don't need to put up with in Scotland, now he's tasted life away from Ibrox and I'm presuming it's not went as well as he had planned it may possibly reignite his passion, let's not forget he was a young lad that left he in his teen years, who gave us many years service and many goals, didn't like the petulant side of him and frustrated the life out of me times but right now a full fit Alfie would be our striker before any of the new lads.

11.) 08 Dec 2023 11:08:02
Certainly a decent player but his attitude and petty arguments and fouls left the fans wondering if he was going to finish a game? As some posters say it’s up to the manager but for a personal option, he’s too much baggage for me.

12.) 08 Dec 2023 12:09:59
No chance we move on he had his opportunity and squandered it, he just had to stay in shape but couldn’t be bothered so why should we bother now.

13.) 08 Dec 2023 12:45:34
Within a month of getting to Brazil, he looked a stone and a half, lighter and fitter, which shows what he cared about his time here.
Good luck son, but good riddance.

14.) 08 Dec 2023 13:01:44
1872 ; sorry I read your post wrong I see what you mean regarding “striking of the ball “ I added an F in there sorry.

15.) 08 Dec 2023 13:22:42
No No No.

16.) 08 Dec 2023 13:23:02
I was one of his biggest fans but in the end was fed up with his poor attitude and professionalism. He does look in a lot better shape at Santos but he has also hardly played. If he came back with a point to prove maybe it could work out however with the wages we would no doubt have to pay him I think it’s time to move on.

17.) 08 Dec 2023 13:35:50
Cheers twacoos - I agree that he was fantastic at bullying defences when in the mood, especially in the Europa League.

18.) 08 Dec 2023 14:01:18
Correct 1872Blue I echo your sentiment yes he is our all time European scorer but take away his goals in qualifying rounds against teams from the likes of Malta, Gibraltar, Lichtenstein, Andorra etc that were basically whipping boys then would be still be the top euro scorer and always though he never connected with the ball right felt a lot of his goals were scuffed or sclaffed shots but somehow ended up in the net.

19.) 08 Dec 2023 16:20:31
Mark I agree he is better option than Lammers I would even say dessers and Danilo as well but he left and it was time for us to move on from him.

Ibrox news reporting that we could get Patterson back for free as Everton can’t pay due to sanctions.

JordydRFC

1.) 23 Nov 2023 08:35:40
????.

2.) 23 Nov 2023 09:39:19
Can we not just sue them?, always seems we are in court for something, why not turn it the other way.

3.) 23 Nov 2023 10:45:05
Would it be for free? Or would it be a refund type basis?

What would be the point in getting Nathan back anyways, just to sit on the bench behind Tav?

4.) 23 Nov 2023 11:07:54
Stand in line Bar, Leicester City, Burnley, and some other club is suing them for an estimated £300 million. I try think Everton’s problems are only starting.

5.) 23 Nov 2023 11:33:07
My understanding re Patterson, rangers received down payment at tome of transfer of 40% we then received 30% January 23 along with accrued addons

We r due 30% this January plus accrued addons.

So for around 3/ 4 million unlikely Everton would risk a transfer ban by not paying.

If bought over they would be required to meet all liabilities same re admin

Mb we would want one their players to cover payment, I see it as a non story.

Remember last week it was said they only payed 3 million for Paterson, but inflated price to fiddle books, can’t work out why that would be advantage to them, so bong buy into it.

6.) 23 Nov 2023 12:35:58
An interesting point was made on the talk spotr podcast the other day about the Everton situation. It was the premier leagues governing body who imposed the penalty points reduction on them and it was also them that decided when those points deductions would be imposed so, how can Everton be at fault for that. Their lawsuits in my opinion will fail as the Premier leagues governing body decided to impose the punishment this season and not last season.

7.) 23 Nov 2023 12:53:01
I think this is more nonsense but if we could get Patterson back in lieu of £3/ 4 million owed I would do it . Tav can`t go on for ever so phasing him out if Patterson was the replacement would be a brilliant alternative . Another Scot as well.

8.) 23 Nov 2023 13:42:10
We need to start moving players on BEGORE therr your e done n past it.
IF this was the case, then we should take t
Nathan back and move tav on with Devine as back up in the summer if that’s when it happens.
We’d lose goals but we need to find them elsewhere as tavs going to leave eventually and Patterson could be that player for next 10 years.

The simple thing for Everton do though is sell Nathan and pay us with the fee, and put the rest towards there upcoming court cases.
so for me it’s aload a rubbish.

9.) 23 Nov 2023 16:51:04
The lad isn’t coming back up here anytime soon, not after rubbing shoulders weigh the best players on the planet for the last 18months. Also doubt we could afford his wages now.

10.) 23 Nov 2023 19:35:46
Not to mention every manager we've had since we signed tav back in 2015,rates tav as our no.1 right back? They can't all be wrong and the tav doubters right ?.

11.) 23 Nov 2023 21:27:08
Nobody’s saying anything bad about tav coops, just that he can’t go on forever and we need to think of the future.

I’m one of his biggest fans. But if we had the choice of tav for the next 18 mo tha or Patterson for next 5 years I know what I’d take mate.

12.) 23 Nov 2023 22:41:37
Its never going to happen but Patterson hands down puts Tav out the team.

13.) 24 Nov 2023 00:06:55
Correct Stevie.

No one has said anything bad on this post about Tav coops so why are you posting that? ?.

Impressed with the performance today great to see cantwell back aswell. For some reason defence looked a bit more assured today. Lundstrum looked like a new man actually instructing players where to be. I sit in the broomland rear I I heard shouts got dessers to press the keeper but then when you actually see what the team did they closed the space for marshal to make a pass stopping them playing out from the back which they did manage a few times but seemed to make it easier for us to recover the ball back. Overall a much better display to watch hopefully it continues. Long time observer of the site. One last thing and I know you have all said it but the signing of the summer butland although he didn’t have much to do he is different class with the ball at his feet great range of passing.

JordydRFC

1.) 22 Oct 2023 07:18:35
Yes mate butland has been class and a terrific signing for us???Only hope we can keep him as undoubtedly prying eyes ? are watching and no wonder ? He's a superb goalkeeper ?.

2.) 22 Oct 2023 09:53:10
If we sell jb then step up mccrorie.

In my opinion yes can score goals can hold the ball up bringing others into play something we haven’t really got. People say he’s not good enough but proved he can do it against teams in the league and in my opinion league is the main priority.
