I have no objection to the likes of Aasgaard going if the offer is strong and we reinvest. That being said, 15m euros is not exactly outrageous for a midfielder in their 20's at the World Cup. We should be brave and comfortable in asking top money for our players, especially if others see value in them. ?

I like him, always have. Much of our fan base don't, and I think he's aware of that. Can see him moving to Serie A in a heartbeat if the opportunity presents.

I think Thelo is one of those players who needs to play in a very specific system in order to thrive and I'm not sure that we're the right club for him.

I think anything north of £8m with a decent sell on is a good deal for the club. Obviously, depending on how many clubs show interest, etc., we try and get as big a fee as possible. He's a decent player with lots of potential, but if we get a serious offer, I would consider it.

I'm curious, I've seen it mentioned several times now, if a player plays at the WC or scores at the WC, the value of said player increases. Can you explain the reasoning for this? Does this also mean all Scotland's squad values drop due to the performance of those?

I think you could argue Thelo is our most technical player at the club. Some great goals last season from nothing / free kicks spring to mind. Agree, though, he looks too pedestrian at times when he has the ball, and doesn't play with an intent to go forward. Can understand why he would attract offers though (not quite £15m in my mind ? but £8-10m for sure) and I wouldn't be rushing him out the door and quite happy for him to stay especially now we have Shankland who can bring in players around him more if no offers to that evaluation.

Now I don't think Aasgaard is a 15m player. However, if Celtic knocked back 25m for Engels and is looking for that fee to sell him this summer, are we saying Aasgaard is less than half the player Engels is? Cause if we think he's anything less than 12.5-15m that's what we are suggesting.

15 million is very reasonable for Aasgaard.
An international who will get better.
Talent and potential.
Young, strong n fit.
We should be asking around that ball mark, n never undersell our assets.

The 15m euro claim comes from a poster on X that's called the Atalanta Reporter. It has a total of 291 followers.
I highly doubt we get that for him, but you never know lol.
I do think he'd do well in that league and in a set up where less is asked of him defensively. Technical quality is there. It's just the work ethic and speed side; he's weak for us.
