Sal Bibbo off to Coventry. Mcinnes getting his own coaches in. Interesting one
29 Jun 2026 13:06:20
He indicated in February he was going to leave at the end of the season.
Wanted back down the road.
29 Jun 2026 13:12:33
Any ideas who could replace him?
29 Jun 2026 13:19:34
Is where someone mentioned a Scottish international coming in? Craig Gordon maybe?
29 Jun 2026 13:21:53
McGregor coming in, maybe? Or (and I know most won't like this), Craig Gordon, maybe? Just a couple of suggestions. ? Hopefully we keep Scott Fry (set-piece coach). Some rumours he wants away. Hearts' set-piece coach Ross Grant would've been ideal, but he's off to 'them'. We've maybe missed a trick there.

That must be the easiest, well paid job in the world being a goalie coach.
Sitting there on your deck chair shouting "save it" at the goalie you're coaching.
29 Jun 2026 13:54:38
Three Cheers, I can assure you, being a goalkeeper coach is a very difficult job, and having a good GK coach makes a massive difference, the same way it does having a decent outfield coach.
29 Jun 2026 13:55:18
Angus, how did u miss this prediction.
29 Jun 2026 14:07:32
Gordon.
29 Jun 2026 14:21:44
I'd take Craig Gordon as a goaly coach. A proven winner in dressing room would be good.
29 Jun 2026 13:57:17
You're maybe only being facetious but go see what Andy Goram had to say about his goalkeeping coach, Alan Hodgkinson I think his name was if memory serves, there's a whole lot more to it than that. He was considered one of the best coaches in the world, Peter Schmeichel was his other star pupil, they both raved about him and the difference he made.
You have to be in the right position to maximise your chances of saving it for starters, Goram was practically a midget for a goalkeeper but he managed to compensate to the point it was irrelevant, he didn't do that by himself and a good goalkeeping coach is no bad thing, be nice to get back to having top notch goalkeepers like we were used to for about quarter of a century
29 Jun 2026 14:26:11
Chris Woods is a very highly rated goalkeeping coach.
29 Jun 2026 14:33:42
I had heard that Craig Gordon would be brought in as GK Coach and third choice goalie. Others had posted similar as well.
29 Jun 2026 14:49:53
John, I know. My contact (lenses?) didn't tell me this, so I am having it out with them, and sure we will find a solution (a contact lens solution most likely).
But, you know, I only want praise for the ones I get right, remember. ?

Derek McInnes wants current Kilmarnock goalkeeper coach Fraser Stewart who he's previously worked with to replace Sal Bibo as our new goalkeeper coach. ? Fraser Stewart is the brother of our former goalkeeper coach Colin Stewart and their dad Jim Stewart was a goalkeeper for us and also a goalkeeper coach for us. ? ??

I had suggested it rather than predicted it or say it was a rumour or tip. It was more of what I think we should do.
Ehl has hinted that there is a Scottish keeper coming in as coach/player, so I think it will be him, yes.
Some suggested it may be another Scots keeper, can't remember his name with this CTE I've got.
29 Jun 2026 15:22:04
Ok, I get that will I claim Sol Bibbo.
29 Jun 2026 15:37:10
How dare you make a joke. Three cheers. ???
29 Jun 2026 15:49:49
Stevie, don't right of dander Clark.
29 Jun 2026 16:32:39
Zander Clark, John, that was the other one, mate. I couldn't remember his name with this CTE thing I've been diagnosed with, it's pretty frustrating, mate.
I did suggest Clark in January as I believe he's better than Kelly.

GK coach certainly never improved Butland's distribution with the ball at his feet, makes you wonder what they worked on.
29 Jun 2026 17:22:51
The coach came to the conclusion, Jasp, that you can't teach an old goalie new tricks, so they just did double sessions practicing Jack's ability to retrieve the ball from inside his net. It obviously paid off as he was very good at it.

I heard he (Gordon) was going to sign for Dundee.
