Brugge apparently interested in Gassama.
07 Jan 2026 22:02:28
Make a profit and move on. Much better to be had.
07 Jan 2026 22:05:49
He's not been ripping any trees up, if a decent bid comes in should be considered.
07 Jan 2026 22:18:28
I'd sell for £4m.
07 Jan 2026 22:43:45
With a sell on.
07 Jan 2026 22:49:32
I'd sell.
07 Jan 2026 23:13:27
play him LW where he's at his best. Brugge don't sign bad players so i'd keep him or at least ask for a hefty sell on percentage.
07 Jan 2026 23:23:11
Sell if profit and sell on. Doesn't play the ball early, greedy, just want to come in and shoot, loves a dive no real end product, poor ball and decision making.
07 Jan 2026 23:26:20
Sell Gassama big for sima or cerny or even the lad fae Motherwell sell for 4 sign for 2-3 and upgraded the player.
08 Jan 2026 00:01:38
If teams like Brugge are in for him tells you there is a player in there. Massively underselling Stevie. he's had 6 month he will improve I wouldn't be looking to sell for anything below 8m.
08 Jan 2026 01:52:47
We should really only be selling players like Gassama if we already have better in the building (which we don't atm), if not all we are doing is weakening the starting 11.
Keep a hold of him, continue to develop him and sell once we have better. Same for everyone.
08 Jan 2026 02:17:56
Sell for 10.
08 Jan 2026 02:29:20
I'd be metal selling Gassama for 4/5m because we don't get his replacement for that fee, I really don't know why certain fans see nothing in him, why would Brugge ever want him then or a team 3/4 in the Spanish league?
Madness that fee.
08 Jan 2026 02:57:40
Said before we will not improve getting rid of starters and keeping subs and with every transfer being a risk your bound to get worse.
You can't build if you keep getting rid of the foundations.
08 Jan 2026 03:48:12
Must keep this window, summer sale maybe…we aren't strong enough middle to front to sell our best player there. Moore is a loan also, got to keep til summer and add to that attacking front 3/4 players with quality.
08 Jan 2026 04:25:08
Danny Rohl likes Gassama. He is the one that took him to Sheffield Wednesday. The two have now linked up again at Rangers. I don't think we get the most out of Gassama when he is played on the right, but a lack of other options is forcing the manager to play him there.
The manager clearly rates the lad and he is a regular starter even when he isn't performing. I doubt he'll be going anywhere.
08 Jan 2026 06:12:21
So much hate for Gassama on here, he's 22 and is only going to get better. Agree he has been inconsistent at times but when he's on it he's brilliant. Wouldn't be selling cheap anyway.
08 Jan 2026 06:48:09
Think Gassama will be a pivotal player for us, still young and loads to learn.
08 Jan 2026 07:10:03
Gassama - decent player on his day but who looks disinterested and moody at times so if cash available - sell and move on IMHO - but am sure DR will not want him to go until summer - but TBH we need more out of him now!
08 Jan 2026 07:31:57
He is greedy and doesn't lift his head enough and needs to work on his final ball but we as a club ain't going to be signing finished articles these days we can't afford them. Unless it's ridiculous amounts at least 8 then we should be keeping.
Zikos it doesn't work like that unless we have better in building if we sell then we go and buy hopefully better.
08 Jan 2026 07:53:49
No point in even thinking about it unless we have one or two wingers libed up.
08 Jan 2026 08:04:17
Keep to summer, we don't have the luxury just now of selling him. I think he flatters to deceive. Does not show enough if we can get him on the left for rest of season and see what he can do consistently. He is young but we need more going forward and defensivly from him. Same with Antman.
08 Jan 2026 08:23:37
Wouldn't sell unless crazy money £8m+. We lack options out wide and he'd get better with competition and not knowing he plays every game. At times I think he's been greedy because there's not been better options around so takes it himself. As the rest of the attack improves so will he because they are making runs they weren't before.
08 Jan 2026 08:34:20
here we go again, take players on to develop and make decent money and at the first sign of interest we sell then we complain because we don't make decent money on transfers. a lot better players than Gassama took time to settle and shine.
imo he is better or will be than Kent, a lot to learn still but boy has talent.
08 Jan 2026 08:41:45
he has 1 goal and 3 assists in the league. Maeda is top of that with 5 with no other player above 5. if you think that the first part of the season had Martinball he does have an end product but it does need to be more consistent.
we can't sell our better players in the hope that the next one will be better. we need to remember every player we buy does take time to settle.
08 Jan 2026 08:49:42
I'm glad this forum isn't the reference point for clubs interested in our players. Too many posters are quick to slaughter our own. Gassama is quick and has a goal in him. Yes he's inconsistent but most wingers are, there is a good player in him.
Keep him until the summer (at least), with a bit of luck he will have a title winners medal and if he performs on the CL stage his value will only increase.
08 Jan 2026 08:51:55
Gassama will only get better but we have Curtis who can play that role and will also improve if given a fair shake. If we get a decent bid it'll obviously be considered. What's Watson at Killies situation? He still free? No pre contract agreed with anyone else? I know he's mostly right sided but I would take him on a free in a heart beat.
From what I've saw of him he looks like he could operate as a 10 also.
08 Jan 2026 08:59:04
If the fee is over £8m then sell, anything under that keep.
Gassama is a good player, he has his flaws (diving, no final ball, goes missing in most games) but there is a player in there and he can be exciting to watch and get the fans out their seats but he's not a difference maker for us at this moment.
Feel like Curtis and Antman could/should fill that role if Gassama is moved on.
08 Jan 2026 09:57:49
If we do sell Gassama ad be on the phone to tottenham and see if there's any chance they would sell us mikey Moore if we could get him in at a decent price am sure the boy will make is a tidy profit just a thought?????.
08 Jan 2026 10:05:56
imo £8m+ and I'd sell him (with good sell-on %). I like him and hopefully he improves his final ball/decision making, however a bird in the hand and all that. There are never any guarantees that a player kicks on.
08 Jan 2026 10:18:33
Gibby. Moore is valued at 16 million Euros. not sure firstly if we have that to spend on one player but imagine the fuss fans would make if he has a bad game after paying that fee. it would be Chermiti on steroids level ?.
08 Jan 2026 10:23:02
I like Gassama, some obviously dont. Selling him would definitely weaken the team imo plus we don't have anybody to replace him.
08 Jan 2026 12:46:13
BlueFloyd, how does Gassama look disinterested at times? or even moody. How do you get that from watching him play.
I take it you never watched the great Davie Cooper play, you could say the same about him " at times". Before people get all indignant I am not saying that Gassama is as good as Coop but he had spells where things didn't go right for him and his contribution to the team was questioned.
We need to give players time to settle not just want to sell everybody whenever their form dips.
