Any news on potential outgoings? I think we need to shift a few guys out in Jan either on Loan or permanently.

Squad still bloated and needs to better structured.

If we get Penrice on Loan that will be us maxed out on loans unless we cancel (cost us) or they are recalled. Hopefully Djiga has a great tournament and gets recalled.

29 Dec 2025 21:38:45
Djiga has yet to play in the AFCON. Been an unused sub so far.

29 Dec 2025 21:39:20
Djiga has managed zero minutes in two games

King Dowell Matondo Davies cifuentes have been advised they can leave in January on a free. No pay off
Allows them to attract signing on fees.

29 Dec 2025 21:46:38
John has Cifuentes not on loan with buy option? because he's playing every game for Toronto.

29 Dec 2025 21:59:51
Heard a little murmur today that surprised me.

Raskin to Copenhagen on loan, apparently was very close to happening in the summer window, and is still being discussed.

29 Dec 2025 22:14:27
EHL you are correct Loan to buy was mooted in the summer after the sale of Victor Froholdt to Porto.

Pathway to big teams seems at this time more viable in Denmark.

29 Dec 2025 22:29:51
cifuentes has been playing well his last 2 loans if we let him go on a free we are stupid.

29 Dec 2025 22:31:16
A loan deal? How does that benefit us.

29 Dec 2025 22:39:56
We should not be loaning our most expensive asset.

29 Dec 2025 22:45:23
Raskin has repeatedly said he has no interest in leaving.

Let's not take him at his word.

29 Dec 2025 23:04:12
Loan with obligation to buy would possibly be a good deal for us.

He certainly hasn't had the form of last season.

29 Dec 2025 23:21:27
And what happens if he gets a really bad injury on loan, misses the World Cup and comes back into the team in a years time with 6 months of his deal to go?

Away to France man. That is not a sensible deal.

I know it's likely loan with obligation but to Copenhagen I don't expect more than £8-10m
We should be keeping him until after his World Cup and then selling him.

Ehl thanks for info mate I don't doubt it.

29 Dec 2025 23:43:51
That's interesting
I wonder who were lining up to replace Raskin if it were to happen
Also says a lot that we're willing to let him go on loan.

30 Dec 2025 02:22:18
Gies peace Copenhagen.

30 Dec 2025 02:35:37
Stevie g, I said a few weeks ago he should be sold before World Cup as he is doing nothing now for Rangers fc, but going by your logic what would happen if we kept him and he went to World Cup and got injured? or even mover got a game, or played guff at wc, get him sold now while his stock is high, that's my way of thinking eh.

30 Dec 2025 07:15:18
Fraser his stock is not over high Just now.
But what if he goes at plays a Stormer, player of the tournament.
We need d to stop thinking small, with our best assets. We will never get demele dollars.
Perfect example would be Igamane. Sold to early. We didn't receive a lot for him and I am led to believe we didn't have a sell on.

Can someone confirm that. I hope I am wrong.

30 Dec 2025 07:46:27
Everyone laughing at the Copenhagen deal for Raskin is aware they are currently a far better side than we are? 7 points from 6 games in the CL whilst we are currently 1 of the worst team in EL history. Wake up lads.

30 Dec 2025 08:03:36
Peter I've read a few conflicting reports about Iga deal. Some say it's straight fee with no sell ons, others say it's as high as 20%. Doubt we'll find out till it happens and shows in accounts.

30 Dec 2025 08:59:16
Raskin is nowhere near as good as most of our fanbase think he is IMO.

Been here 3 years, had a good 3 months in that time, the rest absolutely bang average if even that good. Copenhagen would be a good move for him. He's never going from us to someone who gets regular minutes in a top team in a top league.

Said it before, £8m-£10m is the range we'll be lucky to get for him. The fantasy figures banded about on here are crazy to me.

On form this season, he's not even worth as much as Barron.

30 Dec 2025 09:54:54
full of what ifs, sell now if there is interest. what if he plays against Celtic and breaks a leg. what if WC is a disaster and doesn't get picked. you can only deal with the here and now.

30 Dec 2025 10:55:10
EHL is that a loan to buy/obligation?

Disappointed if not an obligation to buy. I really like him as a player but he hasn't played particularly well this season. If he were to go to help bring in a couple of starting players then I wouldn't be against it provided that we get a good price in the summer. e. g. bring in Devlin now as a replacement 6 and perhaps Gogic at CB (he can also cover as a 6).

The fact is that I don't really think there is one player that I'd be that upset if they go. Clearly there are ones that I'd like to see go asap and if we could cancel all the loans without too much penalty payments then I'd be doing that nevermind the usual suspects Matondo, Davies etc.

30 Dec 2025 10:57:52
100%! GDog

What you are seeing with Raskin just now is the norm. His 3/4 month at the end of last year when the league was gone was not. This is what he's always been. If you can get £10-12 million for him get him out the door.

30 Dec 2025 11:03:54
Rfc we need guys like cifuentes out, we get decent loan fees for a player who cost us 1 million.

30 Dec 2025 11:48:16
Gdog55 also the Belgian coaching team eh? They clearly rate him as well as the Belgian press they write well about him.

But hey he's avg!

You know it's possible to be a really good payer but not be playing well currently yeh? You understand how that's possible?

He's a great player who's game has suffered with absolute dross around him as well as coaching that ( for the moment ) is focussed on making us harder to beat.

But yeh he's avg. not good enough for us, but is for the Belgian side. Where he seems to get about 7/10 most games.

They are all wrong too.

30 Dec 2025 11:49:42
Fraser where I'm basically
Coming from is if it's an option and he gets injured there not going to take it, my main point is if it's an obligation of say £8m amd he has a stormer of a World Cup then they're going to sell him for £30m or something and we're left with £8m. It's kind of a stupid idea in my humble opinion.

30 Dec 2025 12:43:33
EHL could be onto something with tat rumour, Copenhagen have been struugling a bit since selling there best young midfielder Victor Froholdt, to Francesco Farioli's Porto (top of the league and still unbeaten domestically) Victors seems to be thriving there and is now worth 30 mill, was copenhagens record sale for 20 mill.

Champions league regulars, they seem to be struggling a bot sitting 5th in the league and could see Raskin doing well there is he on Froholdts level, no.

18 months left for Raskin at Rangers, there is no extension to 2028 that i can find anywere, despite Transfermarkt updating his expiry to 2028 that has now been changed back to 2027.

Raskin joined in a winter window, perhaps he will leave in one.

is he worth 12 mill euros on current form and with 18 months, no.

i think we will be lucky to get 5-6 mill based on his poor overall from from his overall time at Rangers, injury history.

Had one or 2 decent runs of from, but he is too inconsistent as a CM, was a better player in Belgium as CDM (nicknamed the Belgian pitbull in that league for a reason)
another player we have not played to his strenghths.
My guess is if Copenhagen are interested he will be signed to shore up their defence and play to his strenghths as a CDM.

Even his Belgian international stats when they have played him shows he is best as a defensive midfielder.

if he go's who is his replacement? the Dahl lad seems to have Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt leading the race for his signature, and they can outspend us easily, likely he will be a 8-10 mill sale.

we payed around 1.3 mill for him so for a change we will make some profit on a Beale signing.

30 Dec 2025 12:46:59
Hoth, have no idea I'm afraid.

Not sure what the finer details are / could be.

Only heard over coffee that he was pretty much all set to leave on loan in the summer, and that all three parties are still in discussion about a move in January.

30 Dec 2025 14:35:13
is this the same average Raskin that everyone was foaming at the mouth about when Martin dropped him in the summer as he was our best player and playing to form?

I remember Copenhagen being linked with loan in Summer when Martin had dropped and ostracised him but that he had turned it down as he wanted to stay. so that sounded like club (Martin? ) were willing to deal then. so it would seem like a continuation of those talks but would that also depend on whether Rohl or Raskin want it to happen.

30 Dec 2025 15:39:22
Raskin has not been up to the high standards he has set yet this season, but he is always a solid option. He is a good midfielder, he never disappears in OF games or the like, he moves the ball faster than Dio in the midfield and will be desperate to regain his form in the upcoming months leading into the WC.

Moving him on would be a mistake in my opinion.

30 Dec 2025 16:00:38
Mj it's not about Copenhagen. Its about the cash we can get get for him. As he will go at the end of his contract. I don't think he will extend.

30 Dec 2025 16:31:19
Ridiculous comments about Raskin 3
Good month ? Jesus wept.

31 Dec 2025 00:22:20
Petrre& Stevie, why do you want to hang onto a player that wanted to leave in the summer ( last) het him sold& re invest, that's the best solution, don't worry about future tournies like the World Cup, the guy doesn't want to be here, so let him move on as I have no interest in guys that don't want to play for the team, sorry, just my opinion.
