Who does everyone think the 2 players RM was alluding to?
03 Aug 2025 21:57:19
He said it yesterday, Cameron and dessers.
03 Aug 2025 22:02:56
Think I'd pick more than 2 but maybe Mcdowall, he was jogging back rather than sprinting.
03 Aug 2025 22:09:29
Baz. He says too many players not two.
03 Aug 2025 22:14:46
Raskin and dio.
03 Aug 2025 22:24:10
Im guessing tav and dowell after that goal? don't believe its bajrami anyway i thought he done okay when he came on. Danilo ran all game. Who else could it be?
03 Aug 2025 22:27:37
Raskin and dio.
03 Aug 2025 22:36:28
Dowell cost us a goal in the 3-3 with Celtic with his lazy walking attitude.
03 Aug 2025 22:41:37
Sorry, I thought you were asking who he had said put effort in, apologies ?.
03 Aug 2025 22:54:04
He was praising Cameron and Dessers and said others can learn from their attitude, they were not who he was alluding to, wrong with that bud.
03 Aug 2025 22:54:13
We don't have a mcdowall who plays for us lol.
03 Aug 2025 23:00:03
John2561 he said 2 players in his sky sports interview. I felt that he may have been talking about dio/ raskin. Since they played very poorly and he signed them off. He did sub Danilo off as well but he mentioned players having an ego and feel that describes the 2 cms more than Danilo values they've had a bit of transfer talk and are usually guaranteed starters, where as Danilo isn't.
03 Aug 2025 23:15:54
Think there was one interview (think it was the immediate post match with sky) that he said 2 individuals weren't running when they were meant to and were self preserving their ego. I haven't seen him naming them though and from what I've read he's been very complimentary of dessers. I got the impression it was 2 who started that he was referring to.
03 Aug 2025 23:19:29
Having listened to the sky interview again there's a point that sounds like he said we had 2 men on the pitch today that wanted to do what they wanted to do. But having listened a few times it could have been too many and not too men.
03 Aug 2025 23:42:05
No, he singled out 2 in the interview I seen John. 2 that weren't doing what they were instructed to do. I wondered if Tav and dio were the ones he meant.
03 Aug 2025 23:43:28
Although, verdant and John could be right, he could have said 2 many.
04 Aug 2025 00:37:10
I interpreted it as to many, I've no problem with home truths being told, best to sort out who's with him or against him as early as possible.
What he said doesn't say much for the so called leadership group of players though.
04 Aug 2025 07:22:54
Billy very interest sky and Clyde say otherwise.
04 Aug 2025 08:24:47
Diomande is one of the ones he's fuming with.
Won't be surprised if he's sold before window shuts.
04 Aug 2025 08:29:03
It was too many; he wouldn't have said 2 men he would have said 2 players surely.
04 Aug 2025 08:47:26
I had another thought about this one over the weekend. He then goes on to say "we've only had one bid for those in the squad, Dessers, which we turned down) or words to that affect.
I wonder if that was an extension of his point, that the ones he's talking about want to go so aren't doing what is asked of them thinking it doesn't matter, but there have been no bids for them and if they want to drive some they need to play and play well.
Might be joining dots that don't exist, the transfer thing just seemed an odd thing to offer in the context of everything else. He wasn't asked about it, just offered it.
04 Aug 2025 10:58:55
Been to. many slackers for to long
Hence losing sloppy goals.
N can't finish games off.
04 Aug 2025 11:20:00
RDB1, you're right about Dio for sure. The game had hardly started when Dio hit the deck as if he'd been shot, after the ball had hit him on his chest, in the Motherwell box - Aww, poor wee lamb!
Martin went absolutely full Tonto at him, giving him a right mouthful, which he fully deserved - watch it back and you'll see.
04 Aug 2025 11:23:18
Clearly Danilo and Diomande as those were 1st 2 off.
04 Aug 2025 11:36:59
Without doubt it was raskin and dio
they ignored instructions imo, and got in rothwells space, they looked like they were playing for themselves and it affected the entire shape.
04 Aug 2025 12:35:57
If you listen he said too many players, not two players. The obvious ones were Diomande and Danilo who he subbed first and you have to think Raskin because I can't think of any other reason to take him off . Its a low bar but he was just about our best player.
I know I get accused of picking on him but if the manager thought that Dowell was still running and doing what he was being asked by the time he was putting subs on then he must be deluded.
04 Aug 2025 13:27:52
Wsl he actually took Raskin off at same time as Rothwell so does he not see him as his number 6 or even an alternative. he brought on the right footed Cameron to play the left sided midfield role despite him normally playing mainly on right and in middle. actually he did well and didn't seem to stick to wide positions as is claim for Raskin (although Whoscored heat map doesn't show that) .
I didn't think Raskin played well although he wasn't the worst and he normally sets a high bar but felt he was nowhere near effective; perhaps as he was played on left. However Cameron was as well and that was what I would expect from someone playing OOP.
Dowell does okay despite getting it hard on here. Is he our RW in the future then no but he has tried to fill a role whilst we have no-one there to play it. possibly Cortes but we down really know what the roel is that Dowell is expected to play.
04 Aug 2025 15:57:22
I've not seen enough of Cameron to know which foot he prefers but it was a straight swap for Diomande to start with and he switched sides when Bajrami came on which is surprising as Bajrami played on the left last season . He just seems to want all the wide players to invert .
As for Raskin he was moved to No.6 on Wednesday in Athens when Rothwell went off and we had our best spell of the game late on. In all games that he has played in this strange role he has combined well with the left winger but its not his best position. Listening to all the supporters who are forgetting about how good the wee man was last season to back up a manager and a player who have shown nothing is weird to me. He would be my first pick in his central midfield role and we should be signing players to compliment him .
04 Aug 2025 16:49:24
Wsl not forgetting how good he was but trying more to understand why the play is the way it is. manager wanted Rothwell for a reason and will play him. so if he wants to play Raskin needs to adapt and play the role he is given whether we the fans think it is right or not.
we have been talking about getting an experienced number 6 for the last few windows and fans wanted that at the time. so Clement as well wanted a more experienced number 6 it seems. Raskin it seems was filling that role until one was purchased. it was the Spanish guy at one point, can't remember his name.
