Just heard on way home AEK Athens in for Dessers didn't say how much though anywhere reporting potential fee
I heard early on this year the club was opened to selling but that was before takeover
And I know some say he's happy here
But I reckon the right money and situation comes up he will be away
If we do sell him surely we could go 5 million for Turgeman since they apparently knocked back 4 from us already if that rumour is true?

Agree with you all. I like Dessers. He scores goals but if a good offer comes in we should take it. However I didn't know we still have payments to make on him? Would it be worth selling him John? If he wanted to stay and taking his goals and experience into consideration, would it be worth selling him? I've no idea how much we still owe for him? Just thinking how much will a goal scorer like that cost to repl.

I think the way we should be looking at Dessers with our new player trading model in mind is, take £4-5mil, reinvest that in a young player and look at that players potential ceiling value
Dessers at £4-5 mil right now at 31, his valuation will only go backwards
Now is the time to sell from a business perspective, barring the fact that he is not Rangers class (regardless what some on here feel) he is no Jelavic/ McCoist/ Mols/ Hately. He's not even an Eric Bo Anderson IMO.

Have to disagree re Dessers. I like the guy gets a lot of grief but always gives 100% yes misses few frustrating chances but still produces good numbers and let's not forget this is while playing pretty much whole season up front alone in what has to be said was an average team. Yes i get now would be the time to sell my head tells me that but i'd really miss the big guy think he's much better than he gets credit for i'd like to see what numbers he produced playing 2 up top i think he would be involved in a lot more goals.

Dessers is a guy I would love to see stay I know folks opinion on the guy is a mixed bag a nuts but he's always got a goal in him
If not he assists or is involved in some way, his work ethics on and off the ball are second to none, his goal n positional sence his great
Look at his numbers he's what we would be looking to buy in a striker
So keep him we can't just keep danilo n hope he's going to come better I know he's decent but far too unlucky injury wise
N too move forward as a team we need players who are strong enough week in week out that's dessers

We'll see but if you're right EHL then forget making money on sales going forward because that's an embarrassing figure for the leagues top scorer who also has a great record/ reputation abroad. A goal scoring International and for the Eagles who have a good pedigree.
We paid 4 and he's better than when he joined. He's at his peak currently.
I bang on and on every season but we are one of the worst selling teams around! If this new lot don't improve that I'll be surprised.

Gdog but he is a player fans are wanting to get rid of as he isn't good enough for us. but then when a figure is given which is less than we think it should be we get all upset about it. I have no clue how to value a player and suspect most fans dont; they compare them with what Celtic get isn't really understanding valuation. whatever we get will be less what we still have to pay and probably a portion of his wages. then the 5% in every deal to previous clubs and the agents fee and we have sweet FA to spend on the replacement. better the devil you know?

Angus, I love Dessers's work rate, top scorer and never throws in the towel.
Reluctantly, I was kind of agreeing with those who insist now is the time to sell, but, as you have cleverly outlined, if it's not going to help us financially, at all, so yes, for me, it's certainly better the devil you know.

Think Dessers is worth twice that amount easily EHL, his stats in Europe should see us at least making our money back, a could be wrong but he is not one of the players I would worry about getting cash in for.
