Who says he didn't want to play for us? Not sure Cerny is worth £7million and I'm also not sure that anyone has actually bid this but he is a good player and would be even better in a better team He is another loannee like Tilman and Sima who did well for us and like them would greatly improve the quality of our team if we could get a deal done for him to stay.
Stats or no, he is a miles better player than Josh Windass .

From a 7-9m pound winger I'm expecting far more than 10 assists.
If he was 2 or 3m then its a no brained, but 7m+ and he's also on 50k a week. No thanks.

Windass was a good player, for us and since he moved on
I really liked windass and he could've done a job for us over the years had he stayed.
Cerny won't go to turkey, he won't take that deal.
Maybe galatasaray or fener or besiktas. But that's about it, he wants top club and European football to further his international chances.

Trabzonspor are looking to loan Cerny with an option to buy. Wolfsburg would like to sell Cerny for as much as any club is willing to pay them. If another loan option on Cerny is feasible remains to be seen.

Davie, Cerny is a very good footballer, he tired the spurs defenders in knots a good few times, he scored 18 goals 9 assists and some are looking for better, better doesn't come to this league, you don't get better for his price either unless untapped potential.

Lots of people saying you wouldn't pay £7m-£9m for Cerny but wanting £15m-£20m for Raskin and Iga! Cerny stats and performance better than both of those over the season so why is he not worth the quoted fee and these guys are worth almost twice as much in some fans eyes. Bit of realism required.

Paul - Olympiacos are keen on Sima apparently with Brighton willing to sell now he has only 12 months remaining on his contract which ends Jun 30, 2026 and then he will be a free agant.
Currently valued at 10 mill euros, wherever he goes likely be around the 4 to 6 mill, 1 year contract extension was completed, originally signed for brighton in august 2021.
Malik Tillman now valued at 32 mill euros owned by PSV.
Big Calvin Basseys value has shot up 9 mill euros in the last 6 months from 16 mill in dec 2024 to 25 mill in may 2025.
Wish we still had all 3 of those players.

We have had 3 cracking loan players in Cerny, Sima and Tillman in the last 3 seasons. What we need is to permanently sign players who can have that impact instead of making other clubs money by developing their players. We need to be wanting the next Raskin, Bassey, Kamara or Aribo who were our players that developed into cracking players.

@my star. No idea why Celtic fans think Engels is worth £30m right now he is worth what we paid for him. I am sticking my neck out here but no way will Igamame be worth £50m in a few years. Has not exactly lit up the SPL and done ok in Europe. He has only just had a cap or two for his country so think you really are stretching it there.
But who knows!
