I thought a few would pick Neil over Penrice first, but wee Penrice has been quality from the minute he walked in the door, no settling in period just bang at it from the start.

Penrice been class bb4. Not just in terms of ability but he's got an infectious attitude. I absolutely love how much he loves playing for us, to many over last few years haven't appreciated the opportunity they had.
A lot of them now look like they are loving playing for us think McInnes a big part in that.

Delighted with the positive impact all of the above have had on the team. The other signings I was either fully aware of what they could bring, e. g. Shankland, or haven't seen enough of, Bouanani for instance.

There's always a pop at fans amongst a praise the team discussion. 🤷. Any coincidence the majority of players topping the lists were signed after our bad start which was main reason for criticism?

Geesa many said wait till window close before deciding what It was like.
The last three signings totally changed the dynamics
Although signed last window Naderi has proved to be a sensational player for us.
The only players we wanted out who r still here we're Miovski Souttar Miovski.

That's a great question Sir Walter and every tough but I'll give it a go and briefly explain why.
1. Minsu - quality attacking player and inspires others to play without fear which I think we lacked in our play.
2. Neil / Makhanya - both bring a calmness and structure to midfield / defence.
3. Pandur - Quality GK and instills confidence at the back.
4. Penrice - energy and desire rubs off on others.
But most importantly our biggest and best signing has been Derek McInnes. His ability to lead and bring a togetherness to a squad is clearly evident to see. I have no idea why anyone would try and spin a negative on that.
I used to be the butt of jokes between my supporters club because I said for years that we should go for McInnes and we would should play with two centre forwards in a version of 442, I would say that McInnes was the man to take us forward and bring back our identity. The jokes would be along the lines of that I knew nothing about football or 442 was outdated and that Celtic play 433 or the job was too big for McInnes.
Well Sir Walter, I had great fun giving them my revenge over the last couple of weeks. Its just banter and all in good fun.
I admire your enthusiasm Sir Walter, keep it up and I hope that answers your question. What do you think?

Glad we didn't get Miovski out as he's the reason for the turn around with that late goal against St Mirren imo. Will be a useful

I think they've all done well. DM will have installed in them that there is no one player better than the next and it looks like the squad are buying in to it with their displays of recent team cohesion, both on the park and off it.
They are all playing for one another, all vocal when required and all playing for the badge on their chest. On top of that, the team look like they're starting to enjoy their football. It's great to see.

Difficult one, I'd say Makhanya, Penrice, Pandur and Neil as joint No1 signings 😅 honestly can't pick one! For me also though Sterling feels like a new signing, getting played in his natural position week after week has shown just how good he is, so consistent.
My top performer so far. Raskin looks a different player the last few weeks EHL, seems to have a new lease of life under McInnes. Long may it continue.

For me it's Makhanya Neil and Minsu, for me these were all positions we badly needed to strengthen more than any other.

Del gets it, many on here called for McInnes mate. You called for us to play two up top constantly, even when we didn't have the personnel or a manager used to playing that system. We are playing it now because we have the players to play that way, just as importantly a manager that knows how to get the best out that system.
We haven't won anything playing with 2 up top or McInnes, Celtic seem to have done not to bad playing 433.

You are very welcome Sir Walter. I was fed up with foreign managers coming in and trying to establish their own brand of football not suited to our game and also bringing in players not suited to our game either. I know a lot of fans will follow blindly and back every player and manager to be a success without really having knowledge.
I just couldn't and I knew relatively quickly that these would not work out and as I said to you earlier, I took a bit of stick for my views and I always felt that the answer was on our own door step with McInnes. His tactics and formations aligned with my own views and thankfully so far it looks as if I could have been right all along, much to the detest of many of my own pals in our supporters club I might I add. I enjoy your posts pal and I'm always happy to have a blether with you about all aspects of our great club.

why do you have to use the word foreigner, its nothing to do with that label. that's where you start to lose the credibility. many were wary about DM me included because on paper many of our previous managers had a better CV than his.
he still hasn't won anything yet so let's see how it goes. but well done for knowing so early our previous managers would all be crap. should get on the board, you could have saved us a fortune.
