Really like Dio as a player. He's brave on the ball and will take it anywhere. Likes turning into trouble on occasion, but he's definitely got ability.

Dio has not kicked on for me. Too many times, turns into trouble instead of playing simple pass.

With the way teams play against us we need players who can take the ball in tight spaces and recycle it. Dio is one of those. He also does the dirty side of the game well. High successful pass rate (87%), tackles well and recovers ball well and wins a lot of possession in top 3rd. Works his socks off as well without being a headless chicken.

Yes, he can be frustrating as he turns into trouble sometimes but how many times has his being on pitch, especially in OF, allowed others to play better. I like him (in case it isn't obvious) and hope McInnes can get the best out of him. He is one of the players we have who can play on left of MF as an attacker so as we have few AM best he stays.

Currently have 11 CM in the first team. Don't think we need more than 6. So 5 need to go, for me that's Cifu, Raskin, Barron, Cameron and Bajrami.
If Dahl is still a possibility, then I think either Dio or Aasgaard would need to go for Dahl to happen.
Personally I'd sell Dio before Aasgaard.
Would give you a Midfield 6 of Devlin, Neil, Dahl, Aasgaard, Drago & Chukwuani. I'd be happy with that.

Coisty, 8 man midfield is more realistic. 2 6s, 4 8s, 2 10s. A 6 man midfield leaves you very fine in light of injuries, minutes etc.

Dio hasn't lived up to potential, and we need better, I don't think he offers enough defensively or in attack to be the type of box to box midfielder we need. Tidy enough at times, but can go missing from 1 game to the next all too often.

Diomande is a player I've always liked. I was thinking maybe he was wanting away. Did watch his video yesterday and happy he's staying. Very technical player, likes to get forward and he wins his fair share of duels.
