If stories are true re Raskin and circa £15m. Would you break the bank (maybe an extra £3-5m) to get Lewis Ferguson 6/7 year deal build the team and identity around him (captain) and pull in Scottish players.
Would rather a real jewel in the crown that gets it, we could build around than in the sub £5m mark which often hit and more miss . thoughts? As we need to do something. different.

No, I wouldn't. I just don't see it. He is a decent player, but not that special. We wouldn't even be talking about him if he wasn't the son and nephew of an ex player; oh, and possibly Scottish. I don't see any decent club, outside Italy, in for him.
So far, we have had assistant coaches who got it, Ferguson, McCann and Dodds, and it made no difference. What we still need is to give a manager time, and with that @20M he could build an entire midfield.
So, no from me.

That's fair enough, guys, and I totally respect your opinions regarding Lewis Ferguson. ? We're also linked with former Sunderland midfielder and captain Dan Neil. Do you reckon he'd be a better signing for Rangers as opposed to Lewis Ferguson.
? I've heard that Rohl would make him our new captain if he can sign Dan Neil, but there's a lot of clubs chasing his signature and he's out of contract with Sunderland. ?

Absolutely, if he has an interest in coming home, and if the fee is right, we should be signing him and making him Captain. Why anyone would say no to signing him is quite honestly baffling.

He's not worth 20m. I would pay 10m max for him. For 10m I think he would be worth it, captain material, goal scoring midfielder, big game player for Aberdeen and Bologna. 20m is obscene though so a no at that price.

Yes SWS, easily play our number 6, and will control a game from that position, excellent range of passing as well, pure grafter in the middle of the park, mate with good technical ability, good all round centre mid.

When he was first mooted as a signing, he would have been up against Arfield, Davis & Kamara.

Ferguson doesn't need to be that great of a player, as some have alluded to. He just needs to be a great leader. That's what this team needs most.
