Been watching Hearts closely this season obviously because of how well they've been doing. Mcinnes has them so well organised, every man seems to know exactly what there job is, they play so many blind passes because they just know there player is going to be there. There very good middle to front, I think if they can keep there team together and add 2 or 3 players of decent quality they'll be a threat next year again. It's been a crazy but exciting season.

If we can go on to do it having played really good in 4/5 games it would be some achievement and would put us in great shape for next year with Danny having had a years experience. I'm certainly not ruling that lot out either, honestly wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they got 99th minute winner to clinch the title. What i do like is that it's in our hands, we don't need favours, just win our remaining games we win the title. Rommens injury is a sickener.

One game at a time, BB4. Points will be dropped. All we concentrate on just now is 3 points at Falkirk on Sunday. Ignore the noise and concentrate on ourselves. ???

I think it'll be a while before both Rangers and Celtic have such disastrous parts of the season in the same year again. Any other season, Hearts would have put up a good fight, but probably be about 10 points behind by now.

06 Apr 2026 15:04:25
Really don't think it's Hearts that will be the problem, and the Tim's never give up with MO. Still think we will do it. ✌️??

06 Apr 2026 15:11:36
I believe Hearts are here to stay. Tony Bloom said they'll win it within 10 years, and he's a very successful and determined man. If he says something, it's worth listening to.

I think they're here to stay, and if, like John said, they won't sell to rivals even for £7m, then I think that's a sign of where they see themselves now.

06 Apr 2026 15:35:58
I think they'll get closer more often.

06 Apr 2026 15:46:16
Hearts now have all the ingredients to be successful. Big fan base, good manager, a good team that will only improve, and very clever owners with cash. This can only be a great thing for our league and it would be good if a few others could follow suit.

06 Apr 2026 16:08:04
Hearts are also finding out now what the pressure of expectation is like. When a draw is almost a disaster. They've had a great season whether they win it or not, but I tend to agree with Alloa, in any normal season, Hearts would be minimum 10 points behind already.

06 Apr 2026 16:14:45
I have been impressed with Hearts. Terrible mistake not to have got Shankland for free. Braga has been a great find and would also be a great addition to our team. If it doesn't work out with Rohl, then our next manager has to be McInnes.

06 Apr 2026 16:17:14
I agree, Three Cheers. Bigger picture is that having a third team able to challenge consistently can only be a good thing for the game in this country, and if a 4th or 5th team can do the same the overall standard will improve and that could lead to better finance/sponsorship deals going forward.

I'm sure the SFA will ruin it somehow, but we can live in hope.

06 Apr 2026 16:51:44
EC12, I just don't think that Derek McInnes will ever be the Rangers manager/head coach now, mate. ? It's passed him by for me. ?

06 Apr 2026 17:00:20
McInnes' hoofball tactic works for a while, but it's slipping now. No way is he right for Rangers. Got friends in Bristol, said they all had a sore neck watching the ball getting hoofed in the air. Some behind the goal had a chant "incoming incoming save yourself". Yes, Shankland is no bad and he gets there and in position as soon as he can.

06 Apr 2026 17:36:24
McInnes will not be our manager and shouldn't be.

06 Apr 2026 17:55:48
Why shouldn't he be? He's a fantastic manager.

06 Apr 2026 18:25:30
McInnes has sustained a title challenge longer than our last 5 managers. Somehow he's not good enough for Rangers? Hearts play good football, anything but hoofball. Walter Smith spoke very highly of McInnes.

06 Apr 2026 19:13:02
Been a breath of fresh air this season with Hearts and Motherwell.
There's not going to be any easy games after the split, as Hibs and Falkirk won't be easy also.
I'm happy with where we're at after our poor start.

Realistically, any one of the three of us could win the title from here, as small margins will decide it and a bit of luck. I'm confident we can get the results to get the title over the line though.

06 Apr 2026 19:33:29
EC12. In every season after Gerrard, apart from 1 possibly (last year), we would have had enough points to win the league if others were the same as this year. So every Rangers manager of the last 5 has managed to gather more points than Hearts and McInnes this year.

So it is Celtic being poorer which is the difference here and not Hearts being better which would win them it.

06 Apr 2026 19:37:19
EC12, think it's the fact he's turned the job down twice already.

06 Apr 2026 20:32:37
Wasn't aware Derek McInnes turned the Rangers job down twice, Paul. ?

06 Apr 2026 21:02:52
He turned it down once, that I know of, and he won't be offered it again. That's just my opinion, and Hearts don't play good football, it's horrendous, but it works for them.

06 Apr 2026 21:11:00
Playing each other 4 times a season will always hamper a third/fourth team joining a title fight on a consistent basis. It means 8 games, nearly a quarter of the season, are against the Old Firm.

Hearts have been superb in the Old Firm games this season, but I expect one, or both, will be better next season and it will be too much for them to be involved again.

06 Apr 2026 21:27:23
Horrendous football? The football that has had them top of the league for the last 7 months. That makes a lot of sense!

07 Apr 2026 00:14:57
EC, Teams can play horrible football but still pick up the three points. I can't really comment on Hearts as only seen them a handful of games this season. Played decent football when I watched them though, nothing fancy.

07 Apr 2026 06:35:07
You don't stay top of the league for as long Hearts have playing horrible football.

07 Apr 2026 07:44:26
Why, EC? Does horrible football not win you three points, like?
