Did someone not say Chermiti worked harder than him in that game? Or did I pick them up wrong and won more aerial duels also?

Waste of his time doing any of that if he can't score. Well, it seems that way. Winning games is the only important part.

Sorry, Mystar, but waste of time? Find that a very strange thing to say. If a player is putting in 1st and 2nd rank stats, how can that be a waste of time as he's contributing to the team. I would agree that more goals needed, but if I had to be critical it would be our forward players don't get in the box enough.
But it's looking like Rohl wants both forwards to drop that bit deeper. Personally, I'd drop Chermiti deeper and have Naderi or Miovski hounding the box, playing off the last man. I would like the two forward men to play that bit closer together too, I feel they are a bit far apart at times.

More pointless starts without context or comparison. If doing something twice makes u rank 1st, all it shows is no one else is doing it. And, we can see, watching, he works hard. The only relevant stat is the distance covered, because everyone runs, so it shows, esp for a striker, how much he does.

Stat for Chermiti winning aerial duels overall is different from the ones I found after the game, where Chermiti was better. Odd how the stat doesn't give overall aerial duels won (? ).
Also, Naderi's pass success rate was around 66%, so every 3rd pass was to an opposition player, and he had around 30 passes. So to use a stat in the photo, he received 12 line breaking passes and passed 4 of them to the opposition.
All very well using stats, but you need to be able to provide context.
And it isn't too difficult to cherry pick stats to show someone in a good light. I am accused of it all the time. ?
Kaiser, re distance covered - as a comparison, Raskin ran most for us in Europa at 67km for 8 games, so about 8km per game. Being penned in for most of those games won't have helped those stats. Using that BBC article I mentioned the other day. Man City run on average as a team 115.7km per match, so per player (depending on if you include the GK or not) that is 11.5/10.5 per player.

Exactly my point about stats, Angus. Without context or comparison they're meaningless. Eg, how do we know if anyone else attempted that many aerial duels or the other stats? Might as well put Butland No1 for saves in the team too, because no one else did any.
The only one of interest is the distance covered, because that's high for a striker, but still doesn't show what happened in the game, why he needed to run as much.

The boy is doing what he's told by the coach and doing it well. He will get goals from that position, but he would get more playing the no9. But would it be to the benefit of the team? Who knows, but the coach seems happy with him and I am as well.

Correct, Cooper, I'm really liking Naderi myself, mate, goals will come, but as long as he's doing the job he's getting asked to do, winning games is the only important park.

If he is doing what Danny Rohl tells him to do and the result is that the team win 4-1, surely that is a good thing.
He had an assist and on another day he will probably get a goal or two without doing as much.
What matters is the team are winning and I for one hope that continues (especially for the remaining league games).

People called Tillman lazy and his stats were very similar to this, plus he scored 18 goals. Tillman has some of the best defensive stats in our entire team. Tillman's ability to press at the right time and win balls in the air was top class.
But the fans said he was lazy and not even worth £5m.
Fan opinion can often be far removed from reality.

Angus, you never fail, boy, puts up stats you don't agree with because it proves what you said was wrong, and now you try and belittle them, when the other day it helped your point, so we're creaming over stats.

They are just stats, team rank 1st for total distance covered, so that would say he done more than Chermiti, which you said he didn't, so there is no context needed with that.

Loved Tillman, the best young player at Rangers for a decade, maybe a couple, Rohl, then Igamane came along, I can't separate them on ability wise, Tillman has had a good few injuries since, Igamane one was major, hopefully recovers well.
I see the same potential in Chermiti.

Storm, you carry on believing what your eyes tells you and that is more than stats. ? The stats I got and checked were from 2 sites. There is another of these for Gassama vs Motherwell, and they have him 1st and 2nd for the stats they used.
As I say, cherry picking the good ones to show a player in a better light. Not a complaint from me, but just context.

One of the places you check is the BBC. ? Great organisation that I wouldn't believe a single word they ever say.
