Currently, what experienced players would you bring in, within our budget of course, and in what positions? I think we could be doing with a CB and CM who has been around the block and could add the much needed experience we need. Stones would be a good one but couldn't see it.

12 Mar 2026 13:23:40
Ben Davies, as well, at Spurs, has bags of experience.

12 Mar 2026 13:33:55
Stones? As in John Stones? When you get a second, could you take a step back into somewhere close to reality, please. ?

12 Mar 2026 13:39:34
Orange, good few experienced cb's out of contract this summer. Wages could be an issue with the majority, though. If we could get Djiga for 5/6m, I'd be looking to sign him. He's shown us now why a Premiership club showed interest in him in the first place.

12 Mar 2026 13:41:58
Not another Ben Davies.
I've still got PTSD from the last one.

12 Mar 2026 13:59:39
Wolves will be wanting money back, at least on Djiga. Unfortunately, no chance we get him for 5/6 million.

We need a 6 that can set the tempo, and has dig. No idea who that is, but hopefully we get one. We need a rb starter and at least 2 ch.
We need a creative midfielder, and still need 2 wingers and a striker. ?

12 Mar 2026 14:19:26
After Sunday's debacle on the pitch, we have more chance of getting Michael Stones in (the older guys will remember).

12 Mar 2026 14:24:15
Joking aside, I agree with the number of players needed. Someone like Joey Veerman, the type of player we couldnt get, would be a No. 6, a player with a good range of passing. Tall order, I know!
We will end up with the boy Elliot Watt.

To be fair, I have not seen much of him, but thought he looked tidy on the ball. Got to believe there is someone on the Continent within our budget that we could get.

12 Mar 2026 14:50:56
You cannot be serious about wanting to sign Djiga, surely? Scare!

12 Mar 2026 15:04:20
Djiga is a much better defender than Souttar.
He is being coached properly now under dr.

12 Mar 2026 15:11:51
DTB, the boy will be a quality CH that most of us can see, mate. He is better than Souttar.

12 Mar 2026 15:13:46
Rosevale Michael Stone? Is that who you mean? If so, that is bad taste. I hope it isn't, as stuff like that shouldn't be posted on here.

12 Mar 2026 15:49:13
Strom, ? It's another rebuild.

You're right though.

12 Mar 2026 16:05:17
Storm, we don't always agree on football, but I can see you are a decent human being from what you post on here. I agree, no room for that anywhere, even as a joke. ?

12 Mar 2026 16:11:10
If he keeps up his form till the end of the season, I'd bid ££7m, rising to 8 and 1% sell-on for him. That way they'd get the £10m back and a sell-on.

I'd like Porteous from LA Galaxy. He's playing out his skin though, and we prob couldn't afford him, knowing MLS prices.

Would we take any other Scots? We need them. I'm afraid the days of knowing the players we sign are likely gone. It will be unknown players to most of us.

12 Mar 2026 16:28:41
Rosevale, I found your joke funny. Comedy is subjective. Stop being so wet, boys.

Onto the football, I'd have a CB the likes of, dare I say, Conor Goldson, with passing, pace and experience to back up Manny, and a proper 6 (Steven Davis style).

Someone with more football about them might tell me he's an 8 or whatever, but I mean someone that can keep the game ticking over, and actually make an attacking pass, unlike any of the current bunch.

12 Mar 2026 16:46:55
Wolves might want him to play in the Championship and see it as perfect development, just like Spurs would with Mickey Moore.

12 Mar 2026 17:03:17
I'd be happy if we could keep the squad we had and bring in a 20+ striker and a no-nonsense CB.

12 Mar 2026 17:08:29
People are allowed a joke ?

12 Mar 2026 17:35:43
Forza, try explain the humour to the mother and 6 year old who were murdered by him; the other 9 year old survived the attack. Yes, it is subjective, but I just don't think it is right to do that in any circumstances, as I think it trivialises the suffering of those involved.

12 Mar 2026 18:51:32
Michael Stone was scum of the earth. Storm, and you're calling me a bigot, hahaha. He's a genuine psychopath, mate, and literally evil in what he did. He was up there with the Dunblane killer; his name escapes me.

Thomas Hamilton. Angus, I didn't know there were young kids murdered at the funeral too. Don't call me a bigot again, mate, if you're making a joke of that madman.

12 Mar 2026 18:52:01
You lot have got to be kidding that isn't a joke he killed innocent people . You lot saying it's a joke are probably raging when Celtic sing about its etc he killed people. It's as bad as why the Celtic fans painted on the walls at Ibrox at the weekend. Do you lot think that was a joke too?

Cheers Angus I would say you are as well. I just can't control myself on here sometimes but when I see crap like that I will alway call it out.
This is another reason why we will never rid our club of bigots. People bring that up and call it a joke
Papac you are a disgrace mate. It's not being wet. Maybe you think murderers are funny but I don't.

12 Mar 2026 19:55:57
Storm, sincere apologies, mate. I went back in the thread and seen u say his name, it was Rosevale, mate. Massively sorry, Storm.

12 Mar 2026 20:46:51
Storm, I agree on a no6, but are we not signing the young boy from Norway or Sweden, Silas, I'm sure that's his name. Sorry if I've got the name wrong.

12 Mar 2026 21:16:17
Ows, I'm thinking we need more experience, winners in our squad right now. Not just young guys with potential. Btw, Angus, I'm 100 percent with you. Naming someone like that on here isn't a joke or in good taste. Maybe we should see it as an error of judgement from the poster, and put it down to that. Gers78, what's wrong with my suggestion of Stones?

12 Mar 2026 22:12:17
OT, I do see it as that, nothing else from the OP, as he is a very good poster on here. It was originally a comment by me to say I saw it wrong and not let it go by. It is the defence of it which I found worse, tbh.

12 Mar 2026 22:24:02
Stevie, don't worry, mate. It happens to the best of us. No offence taken at all. I have misread posts on here before, so no need to apologise. ?

Ows, I had no idea who to sign, but we definitely need a 6. We have been crying out for one for a long time.

OT, I think it is an error of judgement, as Rosevale is usually a good poster, or maybe he hides it well. I don't know.

Anyone agreeing with that post needs to look in the mirror if they think that's acceptable.

13 Mar 2026 00:59:08
I would take Djiga and Porteous. Djiga is only 23 and getting better.

13 Mar 2026 12:27:14
Porteous is no better than Souttar. Hopefully there is more ambition around the club than to be bringing in journeyman ex Scotland internationals.
Djiga is just the same as Aso as far as I'm concerned, he needs more than a couple of decent games to convince me he can consistently deliver and that we should pay money for him.

Just because he's currently better than Souttar doesn't make him someone we would want as first pick.
