I agree with you, mate. I honestly don't know how anyone can be confident when we have drawn as many games as we have. We drew against Livi last week, a bottom team that has not won since August, and folk were confident. We are a bang-average side.

The same stuff is said every year about how good our players are, how they will have very good careers, how much profit we will make, how good our manager is, and that anyone who disagrees doesn't know the game or watches a different game.
The same stuff will be said next year too, and so on, until one year we are successful.
It's just rinse and repeat. I don't know why anyone listens to it or takes it seriously.

Sounds like some here don't think we should even bother turning up for the cup! Seriously. We had a poor 2nd half, they had a poor 1st half. We've drawn with Livi; they lost to Dundee. It seems to me that neither half of Glasgow is particularly commanding, and that, on recent form, Motherwell are the real ones to fear.
The fact that there are no 'outstanding' sides in Scotland means there are points to win and definitely some that will be lost. Whilst I agree, some of the senior players, in particular, need to be flexing their backbones, nothing is yet decided, and unless I am mistaken neither the Scottish Cup nor the league title have been won yet.

Of course we were poor in the second half, but imo that doesn't have me thinking we can't/won't beat them next Sunday in the Scottish Cup. ? Of course they'll get a lift from that comeback yesterday, but they ain't a great team, and next Sunday's game for me is certainly winnable. ? If we play the way we played in the first half, I fancy us, and likewise, if we drop off like we did in the second half, then they'll be the likely winners.
? All ifs and buts, and it's on the day, so no defeatist attitude from me. It's there to be won, so let's get behind our team and wait and see. ???
