Big Chermiti's header was like the headers big hately used to score. Fair play to the big boy absolutely delighted for him, you could see what it meant to him also. Brilliant result, to put those jambos in there place.
Gutted not to be there yesterday what an atmosphere, said during the week we need to be 12th man, didn't we just. That's what Ibrox is all about, new boys would have loved it!

Like Old Firm games and Europe, it was a standing game for 90+ mins, great atmosphere, and one that will be replicated until the end of the season. A lot of the players will have experienced that for the first time, and it's up to them to make sure it stays that way. Can't wait for the next game.

As long as he's like himself, that's the main thing.

I think DR loved it more, tearing down the touchline.

That has been my most enjoyable game this season. The crowd were excellent, and we controlled the game. It looked like whatever they scored, we would score more.

Had to laugh at the clown of a commentator on Sportscene when he said that Chermiti glanced his header in.
16 Feb 2026 17:57:52
He absolutely smashed it in JFM, past the keeper before he even knew what was happening. He's been torn to shreds on here at times, so should take all the plaudits when he plays like that imo.

Also, nice to hear the fud Michael Stewart does not rate Chermiti. That plonker's hatred for us has no bounds.

Chermiti's header was a superb attacking leap, and he put his neck muscles fully into it to bullet it into the net. ? He was miles above any Hearts player to bullet his header. A superb headed goal, from a very good cross from ASO. ? ??

They're clearly working on the runs he is to make to the box.

Danny's run up the touchline reminded me of Walter doing the same. I'm delighted for him. He was under pressure with team selection, but got it spot on.

I don't like Michael Stewart, but he's right to say that until he does it consistently.
16 Feb 2026 21:25:28
Rosevale, how does he have the right? The guy is a clown and a bitter wee man. He is a poor pundit and was an even worse player.

Stewart was asked if Chermiti had the "potential" to be a great striker for Rangers, and he said no, highlighting some of the faults in his game. Given the boy is 21, had just shown all his abilities as a centre forward and scored a great hat trick, it's hard to see how he can say he doesn't have the potential.
Different if he was asked if that hat trick makes him a great striker now. It is Stewart though, so we shouldn't expect anything different. All he wanted to do was talk about Hearts, and he actually tipped Motherwell for the title.

Don't like Michael Stewart one bit, but isn't he just saying what a lot of fans are. I think he is wrong, as he has shown his technical ability and potential and just needs more goals to his game.
Some fans want players to be immediate successes, and aren't willing to give the time to players to develop into those success stories. That is the difference between what Star is saying.

I wouldn't be paying any attention to what that doughball Michael Stewart is saying regarding anything about Rangers. ? Chermiti is only 21 years old, and, as previous posters have pointed out, young players still adapting and honing their trade are a bit inconsistent. ?

Stewart is a terrible punter, and an even worse footballer.
