Team I'd go with for Hearts:
Butland
Sterling Djiga Fernandez Rommens
Diomande Chukwuani Raskin
Skov-Olsen Naderi Antman
Moore to come on and impact the game from the bench.
Only real consideration for me is Souttar or Djiga but for me Djiga was better of the 2 CBs against Well

Souttar was outstanding at the back for us against Motherwell last night, Scotty, with Djiga also not far behind him. So, Souttar starts for me, with Fernandez partnering him. ? I lost count how many last-ditch blocks Souttar had against Motherwell last night. ???

While I'm at it, I'll put this one to everyone on here, ie. "Who was our best player against Motherwell last night?" ? It was Big Soapy for me, with Djiga and Raskin not far behind him. ???

I agree with the line up, Scotty. Djigas played well since he came back.

Raskin's goal and goal line clearance, for me, were 2 massive moments in the game. He gets MOTM from me, and Soapy was sleeping at their goal, and Djiga looked fitter and sharper last night.

Souttar was not outstanding last night at all.
If we went with that team last night, we win the game.
12 Feb 2026 18:51:33
Djiga or Butland. Souttar was playing well, but had his usual couple of switch-off moments that nearly cost us, and then did cost us.
12 Feb 2026 19:04:25
Absolutely, Souttar played well last night. What are some of you watching who say he didn't play well? ? Incredible.
12 Feb 2026 19:07:59
Souttar was terrible last night.
12 Feb 2026 19:38:04
Souttar, more than once last night, got caught out wanting too much time on the ball. He could also have picked up Welsh for their goal, but was ball watching.
12 Feb 2026 19:45:19
Thought Diomande played well, but got his usual yellow and always borders a red.
12 Feb 2026 20:03:56
Souttar doesn't look fit to me.
12 Feb 2026 20:09:19
I'd swap Dio for Moore, play him behind Naderi.
12 Feb 2026 20:37:06
Sorry, Walter, Souttar was miles off it, worst performance for a while, though, so il cut him some slack.
12 Feb 2026 20:38:18
A different spin on it, coops. If Souttar positioning was better, he wouldn't have to make last-ditch blocks.
I do like Soapy, and I'd offer him another contract, but at the minute he's not looking match fit, and that leads to sloppy moments and concentration lapses.
12 Feb 2026 20:50:21
Butland's saves made it 1pt rather than zero points, so only one winner, imho. ?
12 Feb 2026 21:01:11
Big Soapy was outstanding? Is there 2 of them? The 1 I watched was not close to outstanding, unless our standards have fell that far. ??♂️

Evening, troops. Haven't posted much over the years, but I'm afraid Big Soapy is a scare. Last-ditch tackles and blocks are not the sign of an accomplished defender. You would never see a top-class centre half do that. They stay on their feet, control the situation, and instill confidence in their defensive team. Soapy will never be that man, I'm afraid.

Not sure what game some guys were watching, but Souttar was guff.
He got lucky on a few occasions that the ref gave us free kicks when they weren't fouls. Also seen penalties given for the handball on the ground (i know its not technically a handball, but I've seen similar given, so its always a risk).
Djiga actually looked better and made less mistakes.
I'd agree with Scotty for the starting 11 against Hearts.
Butland
Sterling Djiga Fernandez Rommens
Diomande Chukwuani Raskin
Skov-Olsen Naderi Antman
Plus, Souttar offers nothing at corners or free kicks.

Id put most of our poor moments all season down to players wanting too much time on the ball. You can see the difference when we move it quickly. Whether this is down to arrogance or no pass being available, i'm not sure, but the amount of times i'm screaming, get rid of it, to the telly is outrageous.
